Description
The invention relates to an improved method of making photographic prints in natural colors after partial color negatives, with dam on a positive film material with a single Silver halide emulsion layer one behind the other the three 5 Color-negative color separations can be copied. These color-negative color separations are made by conventional Medium made and are black and white. The exposed film strip is then color developed, to the first partial color image z. B. to produce in blue-green. Then using a chemical bleach any latent image that appears after the first exposure and stages of development may be left and the developed silver faded. Of the The film strip is then exposed again through the second color-negative color separation, then color-developed and treated in a similar manner, which then produces the crimson. so the film strip is exposed for the third time using the third color-negative color separation, then color developed and further treated as before to bring out the yellow color. The copier, The exposure in which the exposure is made is designed to maintain precise alignment willi. If desired, the filmstrip can be exposed before the last 'color development stage, to create one or more audio tracks. Contains after soaking, fixing and drying the film strip is a perfect color print.
According to the invention, the emulsion layer of the film material before the first copying step with a Treated dye that absorbs the light to which the emulsion is sensitive. Before the further repeated Exposures, the material can also be treated with the dye. The presence this dye was used for both exposure control and exposure control the reduction of undesirable "scatter" recognized as important. According to another feature of this Invention is provided, the third exposure by the third color-negative color separation by the The back (backing) of the film strip in order to reduce the masking effect of the blue-green and to prevent purples that are already there, the benefits of the dye being useful in this process.
Further details and improvements are discussed below.

Foam material 10 contains only a single black and white halogen silver emulsion layer. The material is first treated with a suitable dye in the dyeing station 11. It is preferred to use a yellow dye that can be easily washed off, such as. B. the tartrazine in a concentration of 4 to 5 g per liter. It is of fundamental importance that the dye absorbs light in the spectral range to which the film is sensitive. A dye such as B. esculin (C 15 H 16 O 9 ) would be suitable to absorb ultraviolet light. A gray dye could also be used.
After dye processing, the filmstrip is dried in the drying box 12. The colored one Film material is then in the copier 13 through a color-negative color separation 14 for the blue-green color exposed. The exposure is through the front or emulsion side of the filmstrip.
The color developed film strip then passes the wash station 16 and is then fed into the bleaching station 17, where a bleaching agent treatment takes place, in order to ensure that the latent silver image remaining after the exposure in the copying machine 13 is completely annihilated before the next

Exposure and the development of another partial color take place. After washing in station 18, the film strip is again in the dyeing station 19 treated with the same yellow dye and then dried in the drying box 20.
The film strip emerging from the drying box 20 is then passed through the copier 21 guided and exposed through the front side through the color-negative color separation 22 for the purple image. Then the film strip passes the developer station 23, the washing 24, the bleaching station 25 and the Wash 26. The film strip is then washed with the same yellow dye solution in the dyeing station 27 and then enters the drying box 28.
The film strip emerging from the drying box 28 is guided through the copier 31 and through the back or carrier side through the third color-negative color separation 32 for the yellow Color image exposed. If a photographic soundtrack is to be used, it will appear just before or copied onto the film strip after exposure through the third color-negative color separation. The exposure for the sound track is made through the front of the filmstrip. The film strip happened then the developer station 33, washing 34, the fixing bath and washing 36 as well as the Drying box 37. The film strip emerging from the drying box 37 is a full-color final print If the film strip is provided with a photographic soundtrack, then may the bleaching material on station 35 could not be applied to the full width of the film in order to keep the soundtrack remains untreated.
The yellow dye can be applied in a conventional manner by applying the strip of film is passed through a dye solution, or the yellow dye can be applied as a thin layer by means of a suitable apparatus can be applied to the film. The dye does not need to be thickened and forms a core thixotropic gel layer. The coating only needs to be about 0.05 mm thick be. Suffice it 5 or 10 seconds of contact of the coating with the film strip before the excess is blown off by a high pressure air vent dryer. The filmstrip is then dried.
The yellow dye does not damage the soundtrack, but · improves the quality, since the scattered light, " which causes noise, attenuated by the low penetration of the soundtrack exposure will.
