Description
Connecting clamp for two electrical conductors making contact with their end faces In order to connect electrical cables and lines to one another, metallic connecting elements have so far been used exclusively. This has the disadvantage that in the case of end-face connections, the current flows not only over the conductor end faces, but also over the circumference of all connecting elements which have to be insulated after the assembly has taken place. In addition, the union: trained nuts edged, to begin to wrench. This is particularly detrimental to high-voltage lines because of the electrical field distribution. Furthermore, when connecting a copper conductor to an aluminum conductor, different metals must be used for the connecting elements in order to prevent corrosion. Finally, the known connections also have the disadvantage that they are not so tight that moisture or gases cannot penetrate the connection, which gradually leads to its destruction.
The aim of the invention is to remedy all of the disadvantages indicated. The invention provides that all of the peripheral surfaces of the conductors to be connected or the parts of the connecting clamp that touch the pressure pieces provided between the conductors consist of insulating material. In the end connection according to the invention the post-isolation that has been necessary up to now is required, which requires considerable effort Time and material required.
Three exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. 1 shows a direct conductor connection with a simple insulating screw connection, FIG. 2 shows an indirect conductor connection with a double insulating screw connection and an insulated intermediate piece, and FIG. 3 shows a direct conductor connection with a collar pressed onto the stranded conductor.
In Fig. 1 , an insulating sleeve 10 and insulating clamping screw 2 are fastened on one conductor 1 and on the other conductor 1. The insulating sleeve 10 is gripped from behind by a union nut 3 made of insulating material. By turning the Übermf nut 3 , the conductor end faces 11 are pressed tightly against one another and thus connected to one another with good electrical conductivity. If necessary, a contact pad can also be inserted. The conductors 1 have normal cable insulation 12. The union nut 3 has in its collar 13 a conical 1-turn 14, which ensures a tight seal with the cable insulation 12, it is irrelevant that the union nut 3 is rotated because the union nuts not axial at. Allow the connection to be screwed together. The insulating tension chau e 2 also has a similar conical twist 14 to the same end.
Fig. 2 shows an indirect conductor connection, in which on the bare ends of the conductor 1 internally conical insulating clamping screws 2 are placed, which are provided with external threads. A pressure piece 16 is made of metal. At each end of the pressure piece, a collar 18 is provided which terminates in a wedge-shaped tip. These tips engage in the strand-like conductors. Insulation 17 is provided between the collars 18, specifically on the pressure piece 16. By screwing the cap nut 3 made of insulating material onto the insulating clamping screw 2, the conductor end faces 11 are pressed tightly and firmly against the collars. According to FIG. 2, it is also possible to provide the collars 18 with threads running in opposite directions, in which case only one union nut is required. The tips can be provided with grooves or knurls to prevent them from sliding back.
In Fig. 3 , an expansion connection for tension-free connection of conductors, for example in the mountain damage area between a stranded conductor 1 and a stranded conductor 19, is shown. A union nut 3 made of insulating material, which is supported with its collar 13 against the collar 18 fastened on the stranded conductor 19 , is screwed onto an insulating clamping screw 2 in which the conductor 1 is fastened. The end faces of the two conductors 1 and 19 press tightly against each other. - The stranded conductor 19 can be surrounded by umbilical insulation 12, as can the stranded conductor 1. For the threads of the Isoll clamping screws 2, it is advisable to use flat threads, because in this case the flanks of the threads do not lie on top of each other after screwing together that moisture or gases cannot penetrate the connection through the threads. The stranded conductor 19 , on the other hand, is connected to a braided conductor 1 in the same way. The stranded conductor is laid in loops between the two stranded conductors 1 , as is customary with expansion connectors.
It is also possible to surround a stranded conductor with a spiral spring, which is supported against collars attached to the ends of the stranded conductor. the Bundles make contact on the other side with the conductors to be connected. In this way it is achieved that in the event that the end faces of the to be connected move apart Head the spring stretches and maintains contact.
The collars 18 can be deformed, i. H. be made by upsetting or the like, but they can also be attached to the conductor by cones, wedges or dü.
