Abstract
The fuel injection system has a first pump (7) following a fuel filter (4) and a venting device (9) arranged between the pump and filter and in the form of a valve, whereby in a first position the output of the fuel filter is connected to the input of the first pump and in a second position the output of the fuel filter is connected to a further output (10) of the venting device.
