Hauptgruppe
- C H (C H,)" -CH2-CH2-CH,-CH3, -CH2-C,HS, -C,H5, - Co H4 - CH, und - C,;

The reaction proceeds according to the following scheme: Here, Hal denotes a halogen atom, Me an element of main group I or II of the periodic system, R denotes a saturated alkylene radical which can be interrupted by oxygen, and R1 or R2 denotes alkyl radicals which can be substituted by aromatic radicals, cycloalkyl radicals or aryl radicals. R, _ and R2 can also be two identical radicals. So R can z. B. for - CH, -, -CH, -CH, -, -CH, -CH-, -CH2-CH2-CH3 CH, -CH, - # -CH2-CH2-0-CH2-CH2-etc., R, and R, e.g. B. for - C 1131 - C2 H5, - CH (CH,) "-CH2-CH2-CH, -CH3, -CH2-C, HS, -C, H5, - Co H4 - CH, and - C,; H11 stand.
einzuleiten. Setzt man z.
von Schwefelwasserstoff an Vinylphosphonsäurediäthylester entstehen soll (A. N.
Pudowik und M. G. Imaj ew, Nachr. der Akad. der Wissenschaften der UdSSR., Abt.
Chemie 1952, Nr. 5, S. 916 bis 922; Chem. Abstr., 1953, 10463 h).

The reaction is expediently carried out by heating the components in an aqueous medium. However, it is also possible to work in the presence of organic solvents. In general, water-immiscible solvents, such as benzene or chlorobenzene, are used, but in particularly stored cases it may be advantageous to also use water-miscible solvents, e.g. B. dioxane to use. It is advantageous to also introduce hydrogen sulfide into the reaction mixture during the reaction. If you put z. B. 2-Bromoethyl-phosphonic acid diethyl ester with an aqueous solution of sodium sulfhydrate to obtain the 2-mercaptoethyl-phosphonic acid diethyl ester: In the literature, a process is described according to which this compound is to be formed by adding hydrogen sulfide to vinylphosphonic acid diethyl ester (AN Pudowik and MG Imaj ew, Nachr. Der Akad. Der Wissenschaften der USSR., Dept. Chemistry 1952, No. 5, p. 916 to 922; Chem. Abstr., 1953, 10463 h). The connection described there has completely different physical data than the connection obtained according to the present method, as the following comparison shows: Pudowik According to the present
and I majew I method

When the process specified by Pudowik and Imajew was reworked, only unchanged starting material could be recovered in addition to some sulfide. It can be assumed that these authors only used contaminated vinylphosphonic acid diethyl ester (1.4300, D. 1.0526) in hand. Is striking also that they only give analytical results for phosphorus, but not for sulfur.
Bromwasserstoffabspaltung
in den Vinylester übergeht. (J. Am. Chem.
Soc., 70, 1948 S. 1971(1972).Compared to the way of working of Pudowik and Imaj ew, this permits
Process to produce the previously unknown mercaptoalkyl phosphonic acid esters.
The smooth implementation is surprising since phosphonic acid esters z. B. also alkylating
can act and therefore the formation of mercaptans was possible and there also
it is known that 2-bromoethane-phosphonic acid diethyl ester is easily reduced with alkalis
Elimination of hydrogen bromide
passes into the vinyl ester. (J. Am. Chem.
