Charger for a three-phase alternating current network with an unbalanced load detection, in particular in a warehouse logistics system with at least one industrial truck, which has a power module for each phase, which rectifies the phase that is present in each case, with at least one measuring module being provided that measures a mains voltage and a mains current present for each power module and forwards these values to a central controller of the charger, which compares the measured mains voltages and the mains currents of the phases with one another and, if there is an unbalanced mains load, prioritizes one or more phases in order to achieve an equal load on the phases.
Description
The present invention relates to a charger for a three-phase alternating current network and a charging method for a battery that is charged with a charger connected to a three-phase alternating current network.
The invention is based on the object of providing a charging device and a charging method which provide unbalanced load detection in a three-phase alternating current network in a simple manner.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by a charging device having the features of
The charging device according to the invention is equipped with an unbalanced load detection for a three-phase alternating current network. The charger is intended in particular for charging batteries in industrial trucks. The charger is equipped with a power module for each of the three phases, which rectifies the phase that is connected. Furthermore, at least one measuring module is provided, which measures an applied mains voltage and a corresponding mains current for each power module. The measured values for the mains voltage present and the corresponding mains current are available at a central controller of the charger. The central controller compares the measured mains voltages and mains currents of the individual phases. If there is an unbalanced load, one or more phases are prioritized in order to achieve an equal load on all phases. In the charger according to the invention, the measuring module is responsible for determining a load value for each phase. This is determined from the voltage and current of the respective phases. The prioritization of one or more phases can be actively set, for example, by reducing the power or increasing the power of individual power modules. The particular advantage of the charging device according to the invention is that it can deal with an unbalanced load if this is already present in the three-phase alternating current network. The charger also copes well with an unbalanced load caused by the charger. This is achieved in that the at least one measuring module determines a load value from the mains current present and the mains voltage present in the corresponding phase for each power module.
In one embodiment, exactly one measuring module is provided, which measures the current and voltage values for each phase. Depending on the design of the measurement module, the phases can be measured one after the other. However, it is also possible to measure the current and voltage of the three phases simultaneously.
In an alternative embodiment, each power module is equipped with a measuring module. The measuring module can record current and voltage in the phase of its power module continuously or at predetermined time intervals. This collection of current and power can continue before and after charging.
In a further preferred embodiment, the at least one measuring module is designed to determine an unbalanced load before the start of the charging process. In this way, the unbalanced load on the mains side is essentially recorded and the charging process is adapted accordingly so that an unbalanced load on the mains side is not passed on to the battery to be charged. This occurs particularly in the case of a large unbalanced load due to an extended charging time or reduced charging capacity.
In a likewise preferred embodiment, it is provided that the at least one measuring module determines an unbalanced load during the charging process. This means that not only an unbalanced load on the mains side, but also an unbalanced load building up in the charger can be taken into account.
In a further preferred refinement, it is provided that the at least one measuring module determines an unbalanced load when switching over during the charging process. During the charging process, there are different charging stages that ensure the battery is charged quickly and fully. Switching takes place between these charging sections, with an unbalanced load preferably being determined during these switching processes. This has the advantage that an unbalanced load that has built up during the charging process or a section of the charging process can be recognized early and taken into account for the next charging process.
In a likewise preferred embodiment, it is provided that the charging device determines an unbalanced load on a periodically recurring basis. A distinction must be made here as to how much time elapses between two measurement processes. It is entirely possible to select the time span in such a way that a certain number of measurement processes take place during an average charging process.
In a preferred embodiment, the at least one measuring module is arranged in the housing of the charging device.
- • determine a load for each phase,
- • Calculate a differential load to one or both of the other phases and
- • Reduce the load on the phase with the heaviest load by an amount less than or equal to its differential load.
In the method according to the invention, the unbalanced load is detected independently of the respective charging characteristic used in the charging method.
In the method according to the invention, the differential load is determined for each phase. The differential load can be determined in relation to another phase or in relation to both other phases. It is also possible to provide different combinations and weightings for determining the differential load. In the method according to the invention, a differential load is determined for each phase, with the differential load being able to assume both positive and negative values.
In a preferred development, not only is it provided to reduce the load on the phase with the greatest load, but it is also provided to load the phases whose load is not reduced with an additional load, with the amount of the additional load is smaller than the differential load. In this embodiment, the unbalanced load is thus eliminated in that the phase with the greatest differential load is reduced and the other phases are increased with their load.
In a preferred embodiment of the charging method, it can be provided that the period of time in which one of the phases is loaded more heavily than other phases can be recorded. The length of time for each phase is preferably accumulated in order to detect permanent unbalanced loading of the phases. The detection of a permanent unbalanced load has the advantage that faults in the charging device or faults in the three-phase AC network can be reliably detected.
In a preferred development of the method according to the invention, it is provided that the loads for each phase can be measured during, before and/or after the charging process.
In order to avoid an unstable state during the charging process, it is provided that the load on the phase with the greatest load is reduced only if the difference exceeds a switch-on value. Provision is preferably also made for the load on the phase with the greatest load to no longer be reduced if the differential load falls below a switch-off value. If the switch-on value and switch-off value differ slightly in their values, an unstable change in the switching states can be avoided.

The
If
In
