Abstract

In Gastronomiebetrieben werden Servicekräfte grundsätzlich analog, z. B. per Handzeichen oder verbal, herbei gerufen. Alternativ muss der Gast warten, bis die Servicekraft von selbst zur Bedienung vorbeikommt. Dies führt zu langen Wartezeiten des Gastes und ggf. zu unnötigen Laufwegen durch die Servicekräfte, um sich nach den Bedürfnissen des Gastes zu erkundigen. Wenn ein Gast eine Servicekraft ruft, ist in diesem Moment nicht klar, ob der Gast eine Speise, ein Getränk oder die Rechnung anfordern möchte. Zugleich kann der Gastronomiebetrieb den Gast über den Status seiner Bestellung ausschließlich durch die Servicekraft informieren, was im Regelfall nicht erfolgt. Das neue System ermöglicht zur Lösung der vorgenannten Probleme eine direkte Kommunikation zwischen Gastronomiebetrieb und Gast.Das System besteht aus multimediale Displaytechnologien, die mit Computertechnologien gekoppelt sind und über die der Benutzer Daten senden und empfangen kann.
