Description
The present invention relates to a method for connecting hollow profiles, a compound of hollow profiles and a truss structure with at least one such compound.
Space-Frames.In many areas of technology, trusses are used to bridge large structures or spans with little material. The problem underlying the invention is the connection or the joining of hollow profiles to such framework structures such as ladder frames or space frames.
Truss structures made of metallic and / or non-metallic hollow profiles are usually joined directly by thermal joining of the joints directly or by using additional elements such as gusset plates. Another possibility consists of indirect mechanical connections (screws, rivets, etc.) as well as the use of additional node elements, also in combination with adhesives, to produce the desired structures.
When welding metal profiles, which is common practice, warping of the framework must be expected or minimized by an adapted welding sequence and complex devices. This creates considerable expense for component-specific equipment or larger deviations must be accepted or offset by mechanical reworking or appropriate distancing of the delay. Another disadvantage is the low mechanical strength of the joint, since the welding process entails a cast structure with lower strength than the base material. In order to avoid such disadvantages, mechanical joining methods are suitable, whereby additional angles, tabs etc. as well as joining elements in the form of rivets, screws, etc. are required.
The main disadvantage of thermal joining methods is that in the joining zone, as a result of the melting of the material, it remains in a casting-like microstructure state, which is characterized by low mechanical characteristics. Thus, the joint is the area of least strength. In this respect, it is currently not advantageous to use high-strength and very high-strength materials, since their advantageous properties are lost in the joining zone.
For simple conductor structures, direct mechanical joints can also be carried out. For example, the rungs are aluminum u.a. mechanically joined with the spars by buckling. For this purpose, however, a short and direct access from the outside is required and on the tool side, all rungs must be compressed and pressed at the same time or preconfigured accordingly.
Also disadvantageous when joining by buckling is the need nachzuschieben material from both sides. Without this material supply, buckling does not occur. If more than two longitudinal beams belong to the truss, all rungs must be buckled at the same time. Since not all joints are formed uniformly, this leads to different and varying properties of the joints. In this respect, it is disadvantageous that the joint with the lowest joint strength limits the properties of the structure. This makes it necessary to over-dimension the joints.
Further applications of hydroforming are known from the manufacture of camshafts and similar components. Here, the joining elements are aligned coaxially with each other and during the joining process, the elements in the region of the joint are completely enclosed by tools. The joining elements such as cams are supported by the tool engraving from the outside.
Starting from the above-described prior art, the present invention has the object, with minimal tool or device side effort to achieve a compound of hollow sections, the highest possible flexibility with respect. The location of the nodes (intersections) and / or branches of a truss allows, with the disadvantages of thermal and indirect mechanical joining process are avoided, so that the application of high and high-strength materials is advantageous and no additional joining elements and material (flanges) are mandatory for joining zones.
The object of the invention is achieved by the subject matter of
- - Step A: inserting a portion of a first hollow profile in or through a second hollow profile while penetrating at least one opening in a profile wall of the second hollow profile.
- Step B: Forming at least one section of the first hollow profile arranged within the second hollow profile from the inside to the outside, so that the first hollow profile is connected in a form-fitting manner to the second hollow profile.
The deformation of the arranged within the second hollow section portion of the first hollow profile is accordingly carried out starting from the inside of the first hollow profile, in the radial direction outwards relative to the profile axis of the first hollow profile. Inside the first hollow profile, a corresponding tool can be arranged. The deformation of the first hollow profile is spatially limited.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstände der Unteransprüche.Advantageous developments of the invention are subject matters of the subclaims.
- Step A1: providing the first hollow profile, the first hollow profile extending along a profile axis and having a cavity surrounded by a self-contained profile wall in cross-section perpendicular to the profile axis. The fully closed profile wall of the first hollow profile favors the provision of a sealed pressure chamber for the forming of the arranged within the second hollow section portion of the first hollow profile. By means of a corresponding hollow profile, which is preferably designed as an extruded profile, even more complex truss structures can be created in a simple manner.
- Step A2: Provision of the second hollow profile, the second hollow profile extending along a profile axis and having a cavity surrounded by a self-contained profile wall in cross-section perpendicular to the profile axis. In the second hollow profile with this configuration, a particularly firm connection with the first hollow profile can be created. Due to the self-contained profile wall, the second hollow profile has a high strength, in particular bending stiffness, on.
- Step A3: Inserting a first opening into one side of the Profile wall of the second hollow profile, wherein the inner contour of the first opening preferably substantially or exactly corresponds to the second hollow profile blended outer contour of the first hollow profile, preferably such that the first hollow profile can be inserted under penetration of the first opening in the second hollow profile, particularly preferably such in that the first hollow profile can be fixed in a form-fitting and proportionately non-positively-locking manner within the first opening. The shape of the first opening therefore corresponds approximately to the break-through line which is achieved by intersecting the geometric shape of the first hollow profile with the geometric shape of the second hollow profile. The term intersection is known from the representative geometry. By this feature, the shape of the opening can be ideally adapted to the shape of the first hollow profile in the intended connection position.
- - Step A4: forming a collar around the first opening partially or completely circumferential, preferably in one piece from the profile wall of the second hollow profile, wherein the collar is preferably facing the inside and / or the outside of the second hollow profile. The collar enlarges the joining zone in the area of the first opening and makes it possible to achieve higher bond strengths. In addition, the collar stabilizes the profile wall of the second hollow profile in the region of the first opening.
- - Step A5: introducing a second opening in a side facing away from the first opening side of the profile wall of the second hollow profile, wherein the inner contour of the second opening preferably substantially or exactly corresponds to the second hollow profile blended outer contour of the first hollow profile, preferably such that the first hollow profile can be inserted under penetration of the second opening in or through the second hollow profile, particularly preferably such that the first hollow profile is non-positively fixed within the second opening. By this feature, a particularly stable and durable connection between the first and the second hollow profile is created.
- - Step A6: forming a collar around the second opening in sections or completely circumferential collar, preferably in one piece from the profile wall of the second hollow profile, wherein the collar preferably faces the inside and / or the outside of the second hollow profile. The collar enlarges the joining zone in the area of the second opening and makes it possible to achieve higher bond strengths. In addition, the collar stabilizes the profile wall of the second hollow profile in the region of the second opening.
- Step A7: arranging a first limiting sleeve within the first hollow profile, preferably in such a way that the first limiting sleeve rests partially or completely on the inner circumference of the first hollow profile. The outer cross-sectional shape of the first limiting sleeve preferably corresponds to the inner cross-sectional shape of the first hollow profile, wherein preferably the outer circumference of the first limiting sleeve coincides with the inner circumference of the first hollow profile over at least part of the length or the entire length of the first limiting sleeve. The length of the first limiting sleeve preferably corresponds at least to the length of the section of the second hollow profile penetrated by the first hollow profile.
- Step A8: arranging a second limiting sleeve within the second hollow profile, preferably such that the second limiting sleeve communicates with the first opening and / or the second opening, so that the first hollow profile penetrates the first opening and / or the second opening and the second Limiting sleeve in or through the second hollow profile can be inserted. The inner cross-sectional shape of the second limiting sleeve preferably corresponds to the outer cross-sectional shape of the first hollow profile, wherein preferably the inner circumference of the second limiting sleeve is greater than the outer circumference of the first hollow profile over at least part of the length or the entire length of the second limiting sleeve. The length of the second limiting sleeve preferably corresponds at most to the distance between the two sides of the profile wall of the second hollow profile, which are provided with the first and second openings.
- - Step A9: inserting the first hollow profile in the second hollow profile while penetrating the first opening.
- - Step A10: Passing through the first hollow profile by the second hollow profile while penetrating the second opening.
- - Step A11: arranging the first hollow profile relative to the second hollow profile, so that the reshaped portion of the first hollow profile is within the second hollow profile.
- Step A12: arranging the first hollow profile with respect to the second hollow profile so that the first limiting sleeve arranged within the first hollow profile penetrates the first and / or second opening in the profile wall of the second hollow profile.
- Step A13: Arranging the first hollow profile so that the first hollow profile extends through the second fastening sleeve arranged within the second hollow profile.
- - Step B1: forming a sealed pressure chamber and / or arranging a provided with a sealed pressure chamber pressure tool within the first hollow profile, preferably such that the pressure chamber extends at least from the first opening to the second opening, preferably such that the pressure chamber extends beyond the first opening and / or beyond the second opening. The pressure tool preferably has an outer cross-sectional shape which coincides exactly or substantially with the inner cross-sectional shape of the first hollow profile. Preferably, the pressure tool is sealed via one-sided sealing rings against the inside of the first hollow profile. The pressure tool preferably has a communication opening bridging the seals or sealing rings in order to introduce a pressurized medium into the pressure space.
- Step B2: introducing a pressurized medium into the sealed pressure chamber, preferably through a communication opening in the pressure tool. With this feature, the effect of the pressurized medium can be well controlled. In order not to bring the preferably liquid active medium into direct contact with the component, the pressure chamber can be closed to the component through an elastic membrane and so the process "dry" running.
- Step B3: forming at least one section of the first hollow profile arranged inside and / or at least one outside the second hollow profile, preferably in such a way that the first hollow profile in and / or against the insertion direction is positively and play-free with respect to the profile wall provided with the first opening and / or or the profile wall of the second hollow profile provided with the second opening is fixed, preferably by changing and / or enlarging the outer circumference of the respective section of the first Hollow profile relative to the first and / or second opening, so that the deformed portion of the first hollow profile no longer fits through the first and / or second opening therethrough. With an enlargement of the outer circumference of the first hollow profile in the region of the profile wall, the profile wall preferably laces into the outer circumference of the first hollow profile, while the sections of the first hollow profile adjoining the profile wall can grow opposite the opening. As a result, a particularly strong and stable connection between the first and the second hollow profile can be created.
- - Step B4: Forming at least one within and / or at least one outside of the second hollow section arranged portion of the first limiting sleeve, preferably by changing and / or enlarging the outer periphery of the first limiting sleeve, preferably such that the first limiting sleeve in and / or opposite to the insertion direction positively and securely against the first hollow profile and / or the second hollow profile is set, particularly preferably such that the first hollow profile at least partially or completely rests against the outside of the first limiting sleeve. The deformation of the first limiting sleeve, the strength and durability of the connection between the first and the second hollow profile can be further improved.

- - Step X5: arranging at least a portion of the second profile in the sleeve, so that the profile axis of the second profile in the region of the section extends exactly or substantially parallel to the profile axis of the sleeve, the second profile preferably protrudes on one side or both sides over the sleeve , Through these measures, the first and second profiles are positioned exactly to each other to form-fit with each other during the subsequent forming of the first hollow profile.
However, it may also be advantageous if the deformation of the first hollow profile in step B and / or the first profile in step Y by high pressure liquid, electromagnetic forming, gas generator technology, explosion or electro-hydraulic processes. Forming this type can be produced with relatively little effort. Preferably, tool-free methods are used. As a result, the production cost can be reduced, because after conversion no tool must be removed from the deformed portion of the first profile.

It may be useful if the first profile and / or the second profile and / or the first fastening sleeve and / or the second fastening sleeve are coated with adhesive and glued together.
