Description
The invention relates to a flow converter with a horizontally or vertically arranged stationary angular momentum axis and at least one axis of rotation which is adapted to convert by means of asymmetric wing profiles contained in a wind or water flow kinetic energy in a rotary motion. The asymmetrical blade profiles are associated with a reversing blade which defines an orbit at a radial distance from the axis of rotation of the rotor. A first series of embodiments of the invention relates to flow converters with a common angular momentum and rotation axis, while in a second series of embodiments of the invention, the stationary angular momentum axis and the axis of rotation are formed as separate axes. According to the invention, a rotor of the flow converter is driven by a reversing wing, which is constructed from a first and a second wing segment each with an asymmetrical wing profile and runs at a radial distance to the axis of rotation of the rotor in an orbit. While the suction side of the first wing segment lies on the outside of the orbit, the suction side of the second wing segment changes to the inside of the orbit at the middle inflection point of the turnover wing.
Stand der TechnikState of the art
Flow converters with a vertical axis of rotation are named after their inventor as so-called Darrieus rotors and, in comparison to flow converters having a horizontal axis of rotation, have the great advantage that they operate independently of the respective flow direction. The rotor blades are arranged at a radial distance from the axis of rotation and have a symmetrical wing profile. Based on the Betz 'law, which determines a theoretical upper limit of almost 60% for the use of kinetic energy stored in a flow, reach conventional Vertikalachsrotoren only an efficiency of about 30% to a maximum of 45%, while the maximum efficiency in horizontal axis rotors an asymmetric wing profile is about 50%. In the case of a vertical axis rotor, the suction forces caused by the rotor blades add up to a very high leeward thrust force, which must be absorbed by the supporting structure. In addition, periodic load changes can lead to vibrations that are difficult to control especially for larger turbines.
In known, about a horizontal axis of rotation rotating wind turbines three are provided at an angle of 120 degrees radially spaced from each other and connected via a rotor head to the hub rotor blades. Again, the rotor blades cause very high windward effective thrust forces that must be absorbed by the mast of the wind turbine. A mast clamped to the ground with an azimuth bearing at its upper end picks up the leeward thrust force on the wind turbine and carries it off into the ground. This structure, in which both the mast, and the rotor blades are designed as bending-stressed support members, passes from a hub height of about 150 m to a structurally related upper limit. In 2014, the installed capacity for wind energy was 38,115 MW. This capacity, which currently provides about 20% of Germany's electricity requirement on only 0.75% of the land area, can be increased to more than 60% of the German electricity requirement (390 TWh / a), even if restrictive land use criteria are adhered to. The largest single plants, such as the Enercon E126 have a nominal output of 7,580 kW with a rotor diameter of 127 m and a hub height of 135 m. This means that a large number of individual plants - in 2014 there were already 24,864 plants - will be required for the further expansion of wind energy in the future. It is therefore desirable to multiply the performance of a single wind turbine to limit the number of wind turbines. The expansion of wind energy is met with resistance among the population wherever the wind turbines are located in close proximity to residential areas. One complains on the one hand, the noise due to impact noise caused by the rotor blades passing by on the mast and on the other hand optical impairments by the dynamic shadow of the rotor blades and the unmistakable rotational movement of the rotor.
With components that are predominantly flexural and flexural-stressed, conventional wind turbines have today reached a structurally determined upper limit and do not achieve the efficiency that would be possible with alternative, predominantly normally-stressed load-bearing structures. One of the most efficient lightweight constructions is a spoked wheel in which a thrust ring is connected to a hub via tensioned spokes. Wheel structures with a diameter of up to 200 m are now set up as giant wheels with gondolas for passengers at attractive vantage points and are characterized by a filigree steel construction. The so-called High Roller in Las Vegas e.g. is a spoked wheel design 158.50 m in diameter, in which the pressure ring consists of a steel tube of only 2m in diameter, which is stabilized by 112 acting on a hub tensioning cables.
The high shear forces which occur both in wind turbines with vertical and in wind turbines with a horizontal axis of rotation have hitherto prevented the realization of the circular shape of deviating circulation curves on the rotor blades, which would allow a more favorable angle of attack of the rotor blades. The power of watercourses is under-exploited in Germany and is in conflict with nature conservation everywhere, where the development of rivers with run-of-river power plants on weirs, locks and dams is affecting the natural environment too much. Another largely unused source of energy is ocean currents. First pilot plants and existing tidal power plants show the high potential of this energy source.

Aufgabenstellungtask
Based on the illustrated prior art, the present invention seeks to provide for the arrangement of the wings of a flow converter, a system with which a steady torque can be achieved on the angular momentum axis to avoid unwanted load changes and to reduce the resistance forces. In particular, it is the object of the invention to provide a flow converter in which the suction forces resulting from the buoyancy forces of the wings largely compensate one another, while the tangential drive forces add up. It should be arranged on a flow converter with a horizontally or vertically arranged axis of rotation of the forces caused by the wings so that compensate the windward and leeward suction forces, so that the rotor thrust is reduced to a minimum. The rearrangement of the fluid dynamic forces makes it possible, in the case of flow converters with angular momentum and rotation axes separated from one another, to assume the circular shape to allow deviating, advantageous circulation curves for the wings. In addition, the structure of a flow converter is to be relieved by reducing the dynamic dynamic loads.
This object is achieved with the features mentioned in
Ausbildung und Funktion der WendeflügelTraining and function of the reversing blades
An asymmetric airfoil causes a 30% increase in buoyancy compared to a symmetrical airfoil. A reversible wing consists of a first and a second wing segment and has an asymmetrical wing profile in cross-section, which is aligned with its extending from the wing nose to the trailing edge chord tangent to the orbit of the reversing wing about the axis of rotation of the rotor and its pressure point line over a Height extending between two endpoints. At a middle inflection point, the suction side of the first wing segment changes from the outside of the orbit, in the second wing segment, to the inside of the orbit. This change of orientation of the asymmetric wing profile allows the buoyancy forces to be reversed from the outside of the orbit to the inside of the orbit so that the suction forces resulting from the buoyancy compensate each other and add the tangential driving forces also resulting from the buoyancy. The dotted lines of the inverted wings rotating about a rotation axis define a surface of revolution, e.g. can be designed as a cylindrical surface, as a rotational hyperboloid, as a paraboloid of revolution, as a spherical layer surface or as a ring torus. In this case, defines a pressure point line as a straight line in the direction of rotation a tangential angle of inclination has a Rotationshyperboloid, while a pressure point line, which is also formed as a curve with a tangential angle of inclination, defines a cylinder or a spherical layer surface. If the pressure point line of a reversing wing lies on the surface of an oval cylinder and diagonally connects a main vertex of the oval base to the opposite main vertex of the oval top surface of the oval cylinder or a pressure point line connects the base and top surfaces of a virtual prism with straight or curved side surfaces important that the first wing segment in the direction of rotation runs ahead and trailing the second wing segment in the direction of rotation, so that, based on the entire wing surface between the end points of the turning wing, the first wing segment are moved with its pressure side in and the second wing segment with its pressure side to the outside , The shear rate involved improves the angle of attack.
Pressure point lines with an opposing angle of inclination penetrate each other and form a net on the surface of revolution. In this case, a plurality of pressure point lines can be connected to each other at their end points, so that in the case of a ring torus, an infinite loop is formed. If a plurality of endless loops cross each other with an opposing tangential angle of inclination, a net arises on the surface of the ring torus. From the connection of a plurality of reversing blades with each other, a bending, thrust and torsion resistant grid shell is formed, which forms the outer pressure ring of a spoke wheel in the case of a flow converter as a wind turbine with a horizontal axis of rotation. The network formed by the pressure point lines of a plurality of reversible blades can also be designed as a cable net and carries first and second wing segments, which are each formed as profile shells and form a wing chain. The subdivision of the turning wing in a first wing segment, the suction side is located on the outside of the orbit, and in a second wing segment, the suction side is on the inside of the orbit, allows on a rotor with at least one turning wing a balance of buoyancy forces at which the Suction forces caused by the wing segments compensate each other and add up the driving forces. With a plurality of reversible blades thereby a steady and uniform torque is made possible on the angular momentum axis of a flow converter. Load change reactions, e.g. can lead to unwanted vibrations in larger wind turbines with vertical axis of rotation, can be avoided in this way. Regardless of whether the angular momentum axis of a flow converter is arranged vertically or horizontally, the invention is always satisfied when the windward and leeward suction forces largely compensate each other. In flow converters with a vertical axis of rotation of the leeward thrust completely eliminated, so that orbits can be realized for the reversing blades, resulting from the superposition of the rotational movement of a turning wing about the axis of rotation of the rotor with the rotational movement of the rotor about the angular momentum axis and by a tightening and pulling the Circulation curves are marked. In this case, a radial thrust speed is always activated on one of the two wing segments of a reversing wing, which results in the angle of attack resulting from the flow velocity and rotational speeds of the reversing blade about the axis of rotation and the angular momentum and from a radial thrust speed, so that very large tangential driving forces arise which cause an increased torque on the angular momentum axis.
Strömungskonverter mit gemeinsamer Drehimpuls- und Rotationsachse Flow converter with common angular momentum and rotation axis
A first series of embodiments of the invention relates to flow converters having a common angular momentum and rotation axis in which the turnover vanes run at constant or varying radial distances about an axis of rotation, the circulation path defining a surface of revolution. In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the reversing blades are each rigidly connected to a radial support arm at its middle inflection point, which is designed as a buoyancy generating rotor blade and is articulated at its hub end to a concentric and coaxial with the vertical axis of rotation axis arranged hub. In this way, a turning wing and the buoyancy generating rotor blade is subjected to a bound climb and descent, so that the flow of the wing segments of the turning wing and the rotor blade in the different phases of the bound climb and descent by a radial thrust speed on each one of the two wing segments positive being affected. It is true that during the climb flight, the first wing segment is moved towards the angular momentum axis and the second wing segment is moved away from the angular momentum axis, whereby the flow of both wing segments is improved by a radial thrust speed. On the rotor blades on the other hand, the climb has a lagging effect. During descent, the rotor blades designed as radial support arms act to drive, while the driving effect of the wing segments decreases during descent. The flight phases can be controlled by pneumatically or hydraulically operated controls so that in each revolution position of a reversing blade resulting, tangential driving forces drive the rotor.
An embodiment of the invention relates to wind turbines with a horizontal axis of rotation and angular momentum, in each case a plurality of reversing blades are either connected to the outer pressure ring of a spoked wheel or form the outer pressure ring of a spoked wheel. In this case, the outer pressure ring of a spoke wheel is designed as a laminar flow around the annular wing to direct the flow windward from the axis of rotation and leeward to the axis of rotation out. The annular wing has an asymmetric wing profile whose chord is arranged parallel to the axis of rotation of the wind turbine. A plurality of reversible blades each extend at a tangential inclination angle in the direction of rotation from windward to leeward, and are connected at the intermediate turning point to the annular wing. The induced by the first wing segment suction forces act on the outside of the orbit, while the suction forces caused by the second wing segment on the inside of the orbit are effective and therefore largely compensate each other. The tangential driving forces result from an angle of attack, which is effective as a cone angle both leeward and leeward.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment variant, the pressure ring of the spoke wheel is formed by a plurality of reversing blades which are each connected at their end points to each other to endless loops and penetrate each other with an opposite tangential inclination angle, wherein the pressure ring has a ring torus formed by a grid shell. This ring torus consists of two half-shells, which are connected to each other at the end points of a reversing wing at the inner and outer apex of the ring torus. The grid shell formed by the reversing blades is both flowed around and flowed through by the flow. While the rotationally acting inflow angle in the windward half of the lattice shell is derived from the vectorial addition of the flow velocity and the circulation velocity and from the deflection of the flow, the inflow angle in the leeward half of the lattice shell is derived exclusively from the flow velocity and the circulation velocity.
Strömungskonverter mit getrennter Drehimpuls- und RotationsachseFlow converter with separate angular momentum and rotation axis
A second series of embodiments of the invention relates to flow converters in which the angular momentum axis and one or more axes of rotation are each formed as separate axes. In the case of a flow converter in which three reversing vanes run in a quadratic orbit about an axis of rotation, a special pivot bearing is provided in which the reversing vanes are each connected to the corners of a Reuleaux triangular rolling element which is rounded in a square bearing shell Corners rotates, wherein the rotation axis lying in the center of gravity of the Reuleaux triangle is arranged with an offset to the angular axis of rotation. The connection between the axis of rotation and the angular momentum axis may be e.g. be bridged by two cardan joints.
In the case of a rotor, which runs as an enclosed gyro an automatic or controlled regular nutation, the rotation axis is connected via a universal joint with a vertical axis of rotation. In this designated as a rotor rotor, the universal joint is arranged in the center of gravity of a spoked wheel, the spokes are formed, for example, filigree tension rods, the outer pressure ring of the spoke wheel stimulates the nutation as a flywheel. The first and the second wing segment of a Reversible wings are each connected to the pressure ring. The nutation of the gyroscope, which can also be referred to as regular precession, causes radial thrust velocities on the wing segments which significantly improve the angle of attack on one of the two wing segments. The movement of the gyro can be assisted or stimulated by pneumatic or hydraulic controls.
For the separation of angular momentum and rotation axis offers a planetary gear particular advantages. If the planetary gear consists of a ring gear and one or more planetary gears, a rotor associated with a planetary gear or a planetary carrier orbits at the same time about its axis of rotation and about the stationary angular momentum axis. From the superposition of the two rotational movements of a Hypozykloide is formed as a circulation curve for a reversible wing, the periodically changing distances are connected to the angular momentum with a radial thrust speed, which has a positive effect on the angle of attack of each wing segment. This is always the case when the first wing segment on the hypocycloid is pulled to the inside and when the second wing segment is pushed outward on the hypocycloid. In contrast, a plurality of planetary gears orbit a fixed sun gear, the axis of rotation of a planetary gear is at the same time the axis of rotation of a rotor having at least one reversible wing. From the superimposition of the rotational movement of the reversing blade about the axis of rotation and the rotational movement of the axis of rotation about the stationary angular momentum axis in the center of the stationary sun creates an epicycloid as a circulation curve for the reversing wing. Again, the flow of the wing segments is influenced by a radial thrust speed on at least one wing segment so that comparatively large tangential driving forces arise. Depending on the ratio of the diameter of a planetary gear to the diameter of the ring gear, as Hypozykloide or as Hypotrochoide or as a ratio of the diameter of a planetary gear to the diameter of the sun gear, as Epizykloide or as Epitrochoide, these circulation curves can take various forms.
Steuerung und DrehzahlbegrenzungControl and speed limitation
Flow converters whose reversing wings on a hypocycloid or an epicycloid encircle the angular momentum axis are controlled by the planetary gearing so that a radial thrust velocity positively influences the angle of attack of the wing segments of a turnover wing. You do not need any additional controls. In a rotor designed as a gyroscope or in a flow converter in which the reversing blades are articulated via a radial rotor blade to a hub, pneumatically or hydraulically operated controls can be provided which cause a radial thrust speed in certain positions of the orbit so that the angle of attack influences so is that arise at each point of the orbit tangential drive forces on at least one wing segment. For the control of the rotor speed either wing flaps are provided on the two segments of a turning wing or gear for the generators, which are able to limit the speed of the rotor shaft.
