Description
The present invention relates to a laundry detergent or cleaning composition, in particular to an aqueous hard surface cleaner containing a surfactant mixture containing at least one nonionic alkyl polyglycoside and at least one non-glycosylated surfactant.
Commercially available detergents and cleaners, e.g. Hand dishwashing detergents usually contain combinations of several surfactants in order to meet the requirements for the agent in terms of cleaning performance and foaming. The surfactants are usually both those which are obtained from renewable raw materials, as well as petrochemical surfactants.
In the formulation of new detergent compositions, it is an objective to increase the use of renewable resources, ie to reduce the proportion of surfactants that are obtained petrochemically, in favor of surfactants based on renewable raw materials. This is desirable both in view of the expected shortage of crude oil and because of the desire for sustainability and a neutral or positive CO 2 balance and is also increasingly in demand in the wake of increasing environmental awareness among industry and consumers. Another aspect is the biodegradability, which is often not the case with surfactants from non-native sources, which leads to a stronger water pollution. At the same time, however, it is necessary for the compositions to be comparable with cleaning agents, in particular flushing agents, which contain conventional petrochemical-derived surfactants both in terms of cleaning and foaming performance and in terms of skin friendliness.
However, with the use of renewable resources, it is often disadvantageous that the raw material base used can also be used as food and therefore the increasing use of renewable raw materials in non-food products leads to a shortage of food. For example, at present raw materials from e.g. Sugar beets, wheat, potatoes and maize used in the surfactant production, resulting in a shortage and therefore more expensive food.
For this reason, it is desirable to provide detergents and cleaners which, with the least possible use of raw materials, achieve cleaning performances which are comparable to those of conventional detergents and cleaners. Further, it is desirable to use renewable resources whose raw material base today remains unused as waste, e.g. Wheat straw or grass.
It is therefore an object of this invention to provide a washing or cleaning composition containing renewable resource surfactants that do not compete with food production, while having good cleaning and foaming performance.
It has now surprisingly been found that this can be achieved with a washing or cleaning agent which contains a surfactant mixture which contains at least one nonionic alkylpolyglycoside which comprises at least one alkylpolypentoside and at least one non-glycosylated surfactant.
In a first aspect, therefore, the present invention relates to a laundry or cleaning composition comprising a surfactant mixture containing at least one nonionic alkylpolyglycoside and at least one non-glycosylated surfactant, wherein the at least one nonionic alkylpolyglycoside comprises at least one nonionic alkylpolypentoside. The washing or cleaning agent may be an aqueous hard surface cleaner such as e.g. a dishwashing detergent, preferably a hand dishwashing detergent, or even a detergent. The non-glycosylated surfactant does not contain a sugar component, i. especially no mono-, di-, oligo-, polysaccharides or derivatives thereof and, in various embodiments of the invention, selected from soaps, alkyl alkoxylates, betaines, alkyl ether sulfates, alkyl sulfates, linear alkyl benzene sulfonates, secondary alkane sulfonates, olefin sulfonates, methyl ester sulfonates, and alkylamidoalkylamines. The compositions according to the invention usually contain the surfactant mixture in an amount of 0.1 to 40% by weight, preferably 1 to 35% by weight, particularly preferably 2 to 30% by weight.
In a further aspect, the invention relates to the use of the washing or cleaning agents according to the invention for cleaning surfaces or textiles, in particular for cleaning hard surfaces.
In yet another aspect, the invention relates to a method for cleaning surfaces or textiles, the method comprising the step of contacting the surface or textiles with the detergent composition of the invention.

In the context of the present invention are fatty acids or fatty alcohols or their derivatives - unless otherwise stated - representative of branched or unbranched carboxylic acids or alcohols or their derivatives having preferably 6 to 22 carbon atoms. The former are particularly preferred because of their vegetable base as based on renewable raw materials for ecological reasons. Whenever alkaline earth metals are referred to below as counterions for monovalent anions, this means that the alkaline earth metal is present only in half - as sufficient to charge balance - amount of substance as the anion.
Alkylpolyglykoside Alkylpolyglykoside
The alkyl polyglycosides (APG) are nonionic sugar surfactants which preferably satisfy the general formula R 1 O (AO) a [G] x in which R 1 is a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical having 6 to 22, preferably 6 to 18, in particular 8 to 16, particularly preferably 8 to 14 carbon atoms, [G] for a glycosidically linked sugar residue and x for a number from 1 to 10 and AO for an alkyleneoxy group, eg. Example, an ethyleneoxy or Propylenoxygruppe, and a is the average degree of alkoxylation from 0 to 20. Here, the group (AO) a may also contain different alkyleneoxy, z. B. ethyleneoxy or propyleneoxy, wherein it is then a at the average Gesamtalkoxylierungsgrad, ie the sum of Ethoxylierungs- and Propoxylierungsgrad acts. Unless stated below or otherwise, the alkyl radicals R 1 of the APG are linear radicals having the stated number of carbon atoms. When R 1 is an unsaturated alkyl radical, it may be 1 to 4 times, preferably 1 to 2 times, more preferably 1-time ethylenically unsaturated.
APG are nonionic surfactants and are known substances that can be obtained by the relevant methods of preparative organic chemistry. In particular, they can be prepared by an acid-catalyzed reaction between a saccharide, including a mono-, di-, oligo- or polysaccharide, and a fatty alcohol, which can be obtained, for example, from vegetable raw materials, in particular palm kernel oil, coconut oil and rapeseed oil.
The APGs used in the teaching according to the invention include alkylpolypentosides (APP), ie alkylpolyglycosides which contain one or more pentosereste (sugar with 5 carbon atoms). In various embodiments of the invention, the alkylpolyglycosides are alkylpolypentosides of the formula R 1 O (AO) a [G] x , as defined above, but at least one G is a pentose residue. In one embodiment, all G residues of the molecule are pentose residues, ie the sugar component consists exclusively of pentose residues. The pentose residues include, but are not limited to xylose, arabinose, ribose, Xylulose and ribulose. Preferred are xylose and arabinose, in particular D-xylose and L-arabinose. Such pentoses are available from the hemicellulose resulting from the hydrolysis of biomass, grass and straw, especially rye, oat, barley and wheat fibers and straw. Hemicellulose is a mixture of polysaccharides found in plant biomass, the most abundant monosaccharides being pentoses, such as D-xylose and L-arabinose. In addition, however, hemicellulose also contains hexoses (6-carbon sugars) such as glucose, mannose and galactose, as well as sugar derivatives such as uronic acids including but not limited to hexuronic acids such as glucuronic acid, methylglucuronic acid and galacturonic acid, and deoxy sugars such as. B. rhamnose. In general, the monosaccharides mentioned in the context of the invention can be present in the D or L form, but in each case the naturally more frequently occurring isomer is preferred.
From the pentoses xylose and arabinose or their homo- and heteropolymers can be obtained by glycosylation analogous to the preparation of known APG Alkylpolypentoside. Generally, the hemicellulose pentoses are more reactive than pure glucose in the known process, making the process more sustainable and energy efficient at 120 ° C. In addition, the degree of polymerization obtained is better controlled, resulting in APPs with higher lipophilicity. For this reason alone, the use of alkyl polypentosides over the use of alkyl polyglucosides is advantageous.
The index number x indicates the degree of oligomerization or polymerization (DP degree), ie. H. the distribution of mono- and oligoglycosides, and stands for a number between 1 and 10. While x must always be integer in a given compound and here can preferably assume the values x = 1 to 6, the value x for a particular alkyl glycoside is one analytically determined arithmetic size, which usually represents a fractional number. Preferably, alkyl glycosides having a mean degree of oligomerization x of 1.1 to 3.0 are used. From an application point of view, those alkyl glycosides are preferred whose degree of oligomerization is between 1.0 and 2.0, or less than 1.7 and in particular between 1.2 and 1.6.
As the glycosidic sugar, xylose or arabinose is preferably used. In various embodiments of the invention, however, the alkylpolypentosides of the invention may also contain in one molecule several different pentose residues, for example xylose and arabinose, or also pentoses in combination with hexoses. However, it is preferred that the alkylpolypentosides of the invention contain only pentosereste.
The alkyl or alkenyl radical R 1 can be derived from primary alcohols having 8 to 18, preferably 8 to 14 carbon atoms. Typical examples are caproic alcohol, caprylic alcohol, capric alcohol, undecyl alcohol, lauryl alcohol, myristyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, palmoleyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, isostearyl alcohol and oleyl alcohol and technical mixtures thereof, for example obtained during the hydrogenation of technical fatty acid methyl esters or in the course of the hydrogenation of aldehydes from ROELEN's oxosynthesis , Also to be mentioned are elaidyl alcohol, petroselinyl alcohol, arachidyl alcohol, gadoleyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol, erucyl alcohol and technical mixtures thereof.
Besonders bevorzugte APG bzw. Particularly preferred APG's and APP's are not alkoxylated (a = 0) and satisfy the formula R 1 O [G] x where R 1 is as defined above for a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical of 6 to 22 carbon atoms, each G independently represents a glycosidically linked sugar residue, preferably a pentose residue, and x represents a number from 1 to 10, preferably 1.1 to 3, in particular 1.2 to 1.6. Preferred alkyl polyglycosides are, for example, C 8-10 alkyl polyoxyloside or arabinoside having a DP degree of from 1.1 to 3.
In various embodiments of the invention, the at least one alkyl polyglycoside comprises at least one, for example one, two, three or more alkyl polypentosides, especially C 8-10 alkyl polypentosides, for example alkyl polyoxylosides or alkyl polyarabinosides, having a DP between 1 and 2. In one embodiment, this is at least an alkyl polyglycoside substantially or wholly thereof.
In further embodiments of the invention, the at least one alkyl polyglycoside may further contain one, for example one, two, three or more, alkyl polyglucosides, especially C 8-10 alkyl polyglucosides having a DP between 1 and 2. The at least one alkyl polyglycoside may, for example, be a mixture of C 8-10 alkyl polypentosides and alkyl polyglucosides each having a DP between 1 and 2.

Komplexbildner complexing
INCI chelating agents, also called sequestrants, are ingredients that are capable of complexing and inactivating metal ions to prevent their detrimental effects on the stability or appearance of the agents, such as clouding. On the one hand, it is important to complex the incompatible with numerous ingredients calcium and magnesium ions of water hardness. On the other hand, the complexation of the ions of heavy metals such as iron or copper delays the oxidative decomposition of the finished agents. In addition, the complexing agents support the cleaning effect.
