Bei dieser Lösung ist die Einstellung des Lüftspiels jedoch nur in sehr engen, durch die Geometrie des Dichtrings und der Nut, in welcher derselbe angeordnet ist, festgelegten Grenzen möglich. Wenn das Bremssystem beispielsweise durch eine Vollbremsung mit hohem Druck beaufschlagt wird, ist eine Einstellung des Lüftspiels über die Dichtringgeometrien aufgrund einer entstehenden Gleitbewegung zwischen Kolben und Dichtring in der Regel nicht mehr möglich. Dadurch kann auch nach hoher Druckbeaufschlagung bzw. hoher Beanspruchung der Bremsanlage das Einstellen eines definierten Lüftspiels gewährleistet werden.
