Abstract
Ein Herstellungsverfahren für einen Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysator, umfassend einen Schritt des Kontaktierens einer Alumoxanverbindung mit einer Verbindung, die eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweist; ein Herstellungsverfahren für einen präpolymerisierten Polymerisationskatalysator dafür, umfassend einen Schritt des Präpolymerisierens eines Alkylenoxids in Gegenwart des vorstehenden Polymerisationskatalysators; und ein Herstellungsverfahren für ein Poly(alkylenoxid), umfassend einen Schritt des Polymerisierens eines Alkylenoxids in Gegenwart des vorstehenden Polymerisationskatalysators oder präpolymerisierten Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators.
Description
- Bereich der Erfindung
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators und ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Poly(alkylenoxids) mit hohem Molekulargewicht.
- Hintergrund der Erfindung
- Es ist ein Polymerisationsverfahren für ein Alkylenoxid bekannt, das eine Organoaluminiumverbindung verwendet. Beispiele für ein solches Polymerisationsverfahren sind (1) ein Polymerisationsverfahren, das Bis(diethylaluminium)oxid verwendet, welches in Journal of the American Chemical Society/89:1/, 4. Januar 1967, 173–174 offenbart wird, (2) ein Polymerisationsverfahren, das mit Triisobutylaluminium modifizierte Methylalumoxane verwendet oder ein festes Methylalumoxan verwendet, das in Macromolecules 2003, 36, 5470–5481 offenbart wird, und (3) ein Polymerisationsverfahren, umfassend einen Schritt des miteinander Kontaktierens eines Alkylenoxids, eines Lanthanoidkomplexes und einer Organoaluminiumverbindung, das in

- Jedoch ergeben die vorstehenden Polymerisationsverfahren lediglich ein Poly(alkylenoxid) mit niedrigem Molekulargewicht. Und so ist ein Polymerisationsverfahren gewünscht, das ein Poly(alkylenoxid) mit hohem Molekulargewicht ergeben kann.
- Im Hinblick auf den vorstehenden Umstand ist es eine Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators und ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Poly(alkylenoxids) mit hohem Molekulargewicht unter Verwendung eines Polymerisationskatalysators, der mit einem solchen Verfahren hergestellt wurde, bereitzustellen.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators, umfassend einen Schritt des Kontaktierens einer Alumoxanverbindung mit einer Verbindung, die eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweist. Dieses Verfahren wird nachstehend als „Katalysatorherstellungsverfahren 1” bezeichnet.
- Ebenso ist die vorliegende Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Poly(alkylenoxids), umfassend einen Schritt des Polymerisierens eines Alkylenoxids in Gegenwart eines Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators, der durch das vorstehende Katalysatorherstellungsverfahren 1 hergestellt wurde. Dieses Verfahren wird nachstehend als „Polymerherstellungsverfahren 1” bezeichnet.
- Ferner ist die vorliegende Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines präpolymerisierten Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators, umfassend die Schritte:

- (1) Kontaktieren einer Alumoxanverbindung mit einer Verbindung, die eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweist, wodurch ein Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysator gebildet wird; und
- (2) Präpolymerisieren eines Alkylenoxids in Gegenwart des Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators, wobei eine Menge des präpolymerisierten Alkylenoxids 0,1 bis 10 Mol pro einen Mol eines in dem Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysator enthaltenen Aluminiumatoms beträgt. Dieses Verfahren wird nachstehend als „Katalysatorherstellungsverfahren 2” bezeichnet.
- Weiterhin ist die vorliegende Erfindung noch ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Poly(alkylenoxids), umfassend einen Schritt des Polymerisierens eines Alkylenoxids in Gegenwart eines präpolymerisierten Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators, der durch das vorstehende Katalysatorherstellungsverfahren 2 hergestellt wurde. Dieses Verfahren wird nachstehend als „Polymerherstellungsverfahren 2” bezeichnet.
- Die vorstehende „Verbindung, die eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweist” wird nachstehend als „Hydroxylgruppen aufweisende Verbindung” bezeichnet.
- Ausführliche Beschreibung der Erfindung
- Eine Alumoxanverbindung in der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine Verbindung, die eine direkte Bindung eines Aluminiumatoms an ein Kohlenstoffatom und an ein Sauerstoffatom aufweist. Beispiele für die Alumoxanverbindung sind diejenigen, die durch die folgende Formel (1) oder (2) dargestellt werden:
{-A1(E1)-O-}b (1) E2{-A1(E2)-O-}cA1E2 2 (2) - E1 ist vorzugsweise ein Kohlenwasserstoffrest mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen und stärker bevorzugt ein Alkylrest mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen. Beispiele für den Alkylrest sind eine Methylgruppe, eine Ethylgruppe, eine n-Propylgruppe, eine Isopropylgruppe, eine n-Butylgruppe, eine Isobutylgruppe, eine n-Pentylgruppe und eine Neopentylgruppe. Unter diesen wird eine Methylgruppe oder eine Isobutylgruppe bevorzugt. Das vorstehende b ist vorzugsweise eine ganze Zahl von 2 bis 40.
- E2 ist vorzugsweise ein Kohlenwasserstoffrest mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen und stärker bevorzugt ein Alkylrest mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen. Beispiele für den Alkylrest sind eine Methylgruppe, eine Ethylgruppe, eine n-Propylgruppe, eine Isopropylgruppe, eine n-Butylgruppe, eine Isobutylgruppe, eine n-Pentylgruppe und eine Neopentylgruppe. Unter diesen wird eine Methylgruppe oder eine Isobutylgruppe bevorzugt. Das vorstehende c ist vorzugsweise eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 40.
- Beispiele für ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Verbindung, die durch die Formel (1) oder (2) dargestellt wird, sind (i) ein Verfahren, umfassend einen Schritt des Kontaktierens von Wasser mit einer Lösung eines Aluminiumtrialkyls (beispielsweise Trimethylaluminium) in einem organischen Lösungsmittel (beispielsweise Benzol und ein aliphatischer Kohlenwasserstoff) und (ii) ein Verfahren, umfassend einen Schritt des Kontaktierens eines Metallsalzes, das Kristallwasser enthält (beispielsweise Kupfersulfat-Hydrat), mit einem Aluminiumtrialkyl (beispielsweise Trimethylaluminium), wobei beide Verfahren auf dem Fachgebiet bekannt sind.
- Die vorstehende Alumoxanverbindung kann ein im Handel erhältliches Produkt sein. Beispiele für das im Handel erhältliche Produkt sind PMAO-S und TMAO-211, die aus Trimethylaluminium hergestellt werden; MMAO-3A, MMAO-4 und TMAO-341, die aus einem Gemisch aus Trimethylaluminium mit Triisobutylaluminium hergestellt werden; und PBAO, das aus Triisobutylaluminium hergestellt wird, wobei alle von TOSOH FINECHEM CORPORATION hergestellt werden. Weitere Beispiele für das im Handel erhältliche Produkt sind eine 30%ige Lösung von MAO in Toluol und eine 10%ige Lösung von MAO in Toluol, wobei beide aus Trimethylaluminium von Albemarle Corp. hergestellt werden. Die Alumoxanverbindung ist vorzugsweise Methylalumoxan.
- Die Hydroxylgruppen aufweisende Verbindung in der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine Verbindung, die eine oder mehrere Hydroxylgruppen in ihrem Molekül aufweist. Beispiele für die Hydroxylgruppen aufweisende Verbindung sind Wasser, Alkohole, Phenole, Carbonsäuren und Zucker.
- Beispiele für die Alkohole sind ein einwertiger Alkohol, wie Methanol, Ethanol, n-Propanol, Isopropanol, n-Butanol, Isobutanol, sec-Butanol, tert-Butanol, n-Pentanol, n-Hexanol, n-Heptanol und n-Octanol; und ein zweiwertiger Alkohol, wie Ethylenglykol und Propylenglykol. Diese Alkohole können mit einem Halogenatom, wie ein Fluoratom, ein Chloratom, ein Bromatom und ein Iodatom, substituiert sein. Beispiele für die mit einem Halogenatom substituierten Alkohole sind Fluormethanol, Chlormethanol, Brommethanol, Iodmethanol, Difluormethanol, Dichlormethanol, Dibrommethanol, Diiodmethanol, Trifluormethanol, Trichlormethanol, Tribrommethanol, Triiodmethanol, 2,2,2-Trifluorethanol, 2,2,2-Trichlorethanol, 2,2,2-Tribromethanol, 2,2,2-Triiodethanol, 2,2,3,3,3-Pentafluorpropanol, 2,2,3,3,3-Pentachlorpropanol, 2,2,3,3,3-Pentabrompropanol, 2,2,3,3,3-Pentaiodpropanol, 2,2,2-Trifluor-1-trifluormethylethanol, 2,2,2-Trichlor-1-trichlormethylethanol, 2,2,2-Tribrom-1-tribrommethylethanol, 2,2,2-Triiod-1-triiodmethylethanol, 1,1-Bis(trifluormethyl)-2,2,2-trifluorethanol, 1,1-Bis(trichlormethyl)-2,2,2-trichlorethanol, 1,1-Bis(tribrommethyl)-2,2,2-tribromethanol und 1,1-Bis(triiodmethyl)-2,2,2-triiodethanol.
- Beispiele für die vorstehenden Phenole sind Phenol und Substituenten aufweisende Phenole. Der Substituent ist vorzugsweise ein Halogenatom (beispielsweise ein Fluoratom, ein Chloratom, ein Bromatom und ein Iodatom), ein Alkylrest, ein Aralkylrest, ein Arylrest, ein Silylrest, ein Alkoxyrest, ein Aralkyloxyrest, ein Aryloxyrest oder ein Silyloxyrest. Alle diese Reste können mit einem Halogenatom substituiert sein. - Beispiele für die vorstehenden Carbonsäuren sind eine gesättigte aliphatische Carbonsäure, wie Ameisensäure, Essigsäure, Propionsäure, Buttersäure, Valeriansäure, Capronsäure, Laurinsäure und Stearinsäure; eine halogenierte und gesättigte aliphatische Carbonsäure, wie Trifluoressigsäure, Trichloressigsäure, Perfluorpropionsäure, Perfluorbuttersäure, Perfluorvaleriansäure, Perfluorcapronsäure, Perfluorlaurinsäure und Perfluorstearinsäure; eine ungesättigte aliphatische Carbonsäure, wie Ölsäure, Linolsäure, Linolensäure, Docosahexaensäure und Eicosapentaensäure; eine aliphatische Dicarbonsäure, wie Oxalsäure, Malonsäure, Bernsteinsäure, Fumarsäure, Maleinsäure, Glutarsäure und Adipinsäure; eine aromatische Carbonsäure, wie Benzoesäure, Phthalsäure, Isophthalsäure, Terephthalsäure, Salicylsäure und Zimtsäure; und eine halogenierte aromatische Carbonsäure, wie Perfluorbenzoesäure, Perfluorphthalsäure, Perfluorisophthalsäure, Perfluorterephthalsäure und Perfluorsalicylsäure.
- Beispiele für die vorstehenden Zucker sind die folgenden (1) bis (6):
- (1) Zucker, dargestellt durch die Formel CnH2mOm;
- (2) mehrwertige Alkohole;
- (3) Aldehydderivate, Ketonderivate oder Carbonsäurederivate des vorstehenden Zuckers (1);
- (4) Aldehydderivate, Ketonderivate oder Carbonsäurederivate der vorstehenden mehrwertigen Alkohole (2);
- (5) acetal-geschützte Produkte der vorstehenden (1), (2), (3) oder (4); und
- (6) ketal-geschützte Produkte der vorstehenden (1), (2), (3) oder (4).
- Spezifische Beispiele für die vorstehenden Zucker sind Aldosen, wie Glycerinaldehyd, Erythrose, Threose, Ribose, Arabinose, Xylose, Lyxose, Allose, Altrose, Glucose, Mannose, Gulose, Idose und Galactose; Ketosen, wie Dihydroxyaceton, Erythrulose, Ribulose, Xylulose, Psicose, Fructose, Sorbose, Tagatose, Sedoheptulose und Coriose; Disaccharide, wie Trehalose, Isotrehalose, Kojibiose, Sophorose, Nigerose, Laminaribiose, Maltose, Cellobiose, Isomaltose, Gentiobiose, Lactose und Saccharose; Oligosaccharide, wie Fructooligosaccharid, Galacto-oligosaccharid und Lactosaccharose; Polysaccharide, wie Stärke, Amylose, Amylopectin, Glycogen, Cellulose, Pectin und Glucomannan; Lactone, wie Ascorbinsäure, Glucuronolacton und Gluconolacton; Zuckeralkohole, wie Glycerin, Xylit und Sorbit; Aminosäuren, wie Glucosamin und Galactosamin; Uronsäuren, wie Glucuronsäure und Galacturonsäure; und Desoxyzucker, wie Desoxyribose, Fucose und Rhamnose.
- Die Hydroxylgruppen aufweisende Verbindung ist vorzugsweise Wasser, Alkohole, Phenole oder Carbonsäuren, stärker bevorzugt Wasser, Phenole oder Carbonsäuren und ferner vorzugsweise Wasser, Pentafluorphenol oder Pentafluorbenzoesäure.
- Die Hydroxylgruppen aufweisende Verbindung wird in einer Menge von vorzugsweise 0,05 bis 2 mol-OH/mol-Al und stärker bevorzugt 0,1 bis 1 mol-OH/mol-Al verwendet, ausgedrückt als eine Molmenge einer Hydroxylgruppe (mol-OH), die in der verwendeten Hydroxylgruppen aufweisenden Verbindung enthalten ist, pro einem Mol eines Aluminiumatoms (mol-Al), das in der verwendeten Alumoxanverbindung enthalten ist.
- Die Alumoxanverbindung und die Hydroxylgruppen aufweisende Verbindung werden miteinander bei üblicherweise –80 bis 100°C, vorzugsweise –30 bis 50°C und stärker bevorzugt 0 bis 30°C kontaktiert.
- Der vorstehende Kontakt kann in einem Lösungsmittel durchgeführt werden. Beispiele für das Lösungsmittel sind ein aromatisches Kohlenwasserstofflösungsmittel, wie Benzol, Toluol und Xylol; ein aliphatisches Kohlenwasserstofflösungsmittel, wie n-Hexan und n-Heptan; und ein alicyclisches Kohlenwasserstofflösungsmittel, wie Cyclohexan; ein halogeniertes Kohlenwasserstofflösungsmittel, wie Dichlormethan, Dichlorethan, Chlorbenzol und Dichlorbenzol; und eine Kombination von zwei oder mehreren davon. Unter diesen wird ein aromatisches Kohlenwasserstofflösungsmittel, ein aliphatisches Kohlenwasserstofflösungsmittel oder ein alicyclisches Kohlenwasserstofflösungsmittel bevorzugt, und stärker bevorzugt wird Toluol, Xylol, n-Hexan, Cyclohexan oder n-Heptan. Das Lösungsmittel wird in einer Menge von üblicherweise 10 bis 2.000 Gewichtsteilen und vorzugsweise 100 bis 1.000 Gewichtsteilen pro einem Gewichtsteil der Alumoxanverbindung verwendet.
- Beispiele für das Alkylenoxid in der vorliegenden Erfindung sind Ethylenoxid, Propylenoxid, 1-Butenoxid, 2-Butenoxid, Isobutylenoxid, 1-Pentenoxid, 2-Pentenoxid, 1-Hexenoxid, 1-Octenoxid, 1-Decenoxid, Cyclopentenoxid, Cyclohexenoxid, Styroloxid, Vinylcyclohexanoxid, 3-Phenylpropylenoxid, 3,3,3-Trifluorpropylenoxid, 3-Naphthylpropylenoxid, 3-Phenoxypropylenoxid, 3-Naphthoxypropylenoxid, Butadienmonoxid, 3-Vinyloxypropylenoxid, 3-Trimethylsilyloxypropylenoxid, Methylglycidylcarbonat, Ethylglycidylcarbonat, Cholesterylglycidylcarbonat und eine Kombination von zwei oder mehreren davon. Unter diesen wird Ethylenoxid, Propylenoxid, 1-Butenoxid, 2-Butenoxid, Isobutylenoxid, 1-Hexenoxid, 1-Octenoxid, 1-Decenoxid oder Cyclohexenoxid bevorzugt und stärker bevorzugt wird Propylenoxid.
- Die Polymerherstellungsverfahren 1 und 2 der vorliegenden Erfindung werden beispielsweise durch ein Lösungs- oder Aufschlämmungspolymerisationsverfahren unter Verwendung eines Lösungsmittels oder durch ein Gasphasenpolymerisationsverfahren durchgeführt, das bei einer Siedetemperatur eines Alkylenoxids als einem Monomer oder höher durchgeführt wird. Diese Polymerisationsverfahren sind ein kontinuierliches oder chargenweises Verfahren. Beispiele für das vorstehende Lösungsmittel sind ein aliphatischer Kohlenwasserstoff, wie Butan, Pentan, Hexan, Heptan und Octan; ein aromatischer Kohlenwasserstoff, wie Benzol und Toluol; und ein halogenierter Kohlenwasserstoff, wie Methylendichlorid.
- Ein Alkylenoxid wird bei vorzugsweise –70 bis 150°C und stärker bevorzugt 0 bis 50°C polymerisiert. Seine Polymerisationsdauer wird im Allgemeinen in geeigneter Weise im Hinblick auf (i) eine Umwandlungsrate eines Alkylenoxids in ein Poly(alkylenoxid), (ii) Polymerisationstemperatur und (iii) eine Monomerkonzentration in einer Polymerisationsflüssigkeit bestimmt und beträgt üblicherweise 1 Minute bis 100 Stunden, vorzugsweise 1 bis 80 Stunden und stärker bevorzugt 24 bis 80 Stunden.
- Beim Katalysatorherstellungsverfahren 2 wird die Präpolymerisation eines Alkylenoxids in Gegenwart eines Polymerisationskatalysators durchgeführt, der durch Katalysatorherstellungsverfahren 1 hergestellt wurde, wodurch ein präpolymerisierter Polymerisationskatalysator hergestellt wird, welcher zur Polymerisation eines Alkylenoxids im Polymerherstellungsverfahren 2 verwendet wird. Der erstgenannte Begriff „Präpolymerisation eines Alkylenoxids” wird im Gegensatz zum letztgenannten Begriff „Polymerisation eines Alkylenoxids” verwendet. Deshalb kann die letztgenannte Polymerisation als „Hauptpolymerisation” im Gegensatz zur „Präpolymerisation” bezeichnet werden. Bei der Präpolymerisation wird ein Alkylenoxid in einer Menge von 0,1 bis 10 Mol pro einem Mol eines Aluminiumatoms polymerisiert, das in dem Polymerisationskatalysator, der durch das Katalysatorherstellungsverfahren 1 hergestellt wurde, enthalten ist, wobei diese Menge viel geringer ist als diejenige in der Hauptpolymerisation. Wenn ein präpolymerisierter Polymerisationskatalysator verwendet wird, wird eine Ausbeute eines Poly(alkylenoxids) verbessert; das heißt Polymerherstellungsverfahren 2, das einen präpolymerisierten Polymerisationskatalysator verwendet, ist in seiner Ausbeute an Poly(alkylenoxid) höher als Polymerherstellungsverfahren 1.
- Ein Poly(alkylenoxid), das durch Polymerherstellungsverfahren 1 oder 2 hergestellt wurde, ist in seinem Molekulargewicht hoch. Sein Zahlenmittel des Molekulargewichts (Mn) beträgt vorzugsweise 100.000 oder höher, stärker bevorzugt 500.000 oder höher und ferner vorzugsweise 5.000.000 oder höher.
- Das Polymerherstellungsverfahren 1 oder 2 kann ein stereoreguläres isotaktisches Poly(alkylenoxid) durch Polymerisieren eines Alkylenoxids, wie Propylenoxid, 1-Butenoxid, 1-Hexenoxid, Styroloxid und Cyclohexenoxid, ergeben. Die Stereoregularität kann durch ein 13C-NMR-Verfahren gemessen werden. Beispielsweise wird die Stereoregularität von Poly(propylenoxid) im Allgemeinen auf der Grundlage eines Wertes des Integrals seines Methinkohlenstoffs gemäß eines Verfahrens gemessen, das ausführlich in Macromolecules, Bd. 19, Nr. 5, Seiten 1337–1343 (Sept. 1986), herausgegeben von American Chemical Society, offenbart wird. Je höher die Stereoregularität eines Poly(alkylenoxids) ist, desto höher ist die Kristallinität des Poly(alkylenoxids). Die Stereoregularität wird durch eine isotaktische Triadfraktion (mm) gezeigt. In der vorliegenden Erfindung beträgt die isotaktische Triadfraktion vorzugsweise 81% oder mehr, und wenn ein Poly(propylenoxid) beispielsweise als eine Folie verwendet wird, beträgt sie stärker bevorzugt 90% oder mehr und ferner vorzugsweise 99% oder mehr.
- Ein Poly(alkylenoxid) in der vorliegenden Erfindung weist ein so hohes Molekulargewicht auf, dass das Poly(alkylenoxid) in seiner thermischen Zersetzungstemperatur hoch ist. Deshalb kann das Poly(alkylenoxid) in der vorliegenden Erfindung in geeigneter Weise als eine hitzebeständiger Folie verwendet werden.
- Beispiele
- Die vorliegende Erfindung wird ausführlicher unter Bezug auf die folgenden Beispiele erläutert, welche die vorliegende Erfindung nicht begrenzen.
- Beispiel 1
- Eine Toluollösung von PMAO-S (Alumoxanverbindung) wurde in einer Menge, die 10,0 mmol-Al an PMAO-S entsprach, unter Verwendung eines 50-mL-Kolbens abgewogen, der mit Stickstoffgas gespült worden war, wobei die Toluollösung von PMAO-S von TOSOH FINECHEM CORPORATION hergestellt worden war. Die Toluollösung in dem Kolben wurde mit 20 mL entwässertem Toluol verdünnt. 36 mg (2,0 mmol) Wasser (Hydroxylgruppen aufweisende Verbindung), welches zuvor bei Zimmertemperatur entgast worden war, wurde unter Rühren zu der PMAO-S-Lösung gegeben und dann wurde das Gemisch eine Stunde lang gerührt. Die flüchtigen Komponenten in dem Kolben wurden unter vermindertem Druck entfernt und das resultierende Material wurde eine Stunde lang in einem Vakuum getrocknet, wodurch sich ein weißes Pulver (Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysator) ergab.
- In einen 100-mL-Kolben, der mit Stickstoffgas gespült worden war, wurden 49,8 mg des vorstehend erhaltenen weißen Pulvers gefüllt und dann wurden 51,2 mL entwässertes Toluol dazu gegeben, wodurch das weiße Pulver in Toluol aufgelöst wurde. 6,0 mL Propylenoxid (Alkylenoxid) wurden zu dieser Toluollösung gegeben. Das Reaktionsgemisch wurde 72 Stunden lang bei 35°C gerührt. Die Polymerisationsreaktion wurde durch Zugeben von 3,0 mL konzentrierter Schwefelsäure gequencht. Das Gemisch wurde mit wässrigem Natriumhydroxid neutralisiert und wurde in eine Ölphase und eine wässrige Phase getrennt. Die flüchtigen Komponenten in der Ölphase wurden mit einem Rotationsverdampfer entfernt, wodurch 0,45 g Poly(propylenoxid) erhalten wurden.
- Eine GPC-(Gelpermeations-Chromatographie)Messung des vorstehend erhaltenen Poly(propylenoxids) zeigte zwei Peaks in einem Peakintensitätenverhältnis von 40,5:59,5 an. Vom erstgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) (nachstehend als „Polymer (i)” bezeichnet) mit einem Zahlenmittel des Molekulargewichts (Mn) von 15.320.000 und einem Gewichtsmittel des Molekulargewichts (Mw) von 29.100.000 (deshalb seine Molekulargewichtsverteilung (Mw/Mn) = 29.100.000/15.320.000 = 1,9) entsprach, und vom letztgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) (nachstehend als „Polymer (ii)” bezeichnet) mit einem Zahlenmittel des Molekulargewichts (Mn) von 1.200 und einem Gewichtsmittel des Molekulargewichts (Mw) von 2.300 (deshalb seine Molekulargewichtsverteilung (Mw/Mn) = 2.300/1.200 = 1,9) entsprach. Das vorstehend erhaltene Poly(propylenoxid) wurde unter Verwendung von Aceton in das vorstehende Polymer (i) und Polymer (ii) getrennt. Vom Polymer (i) wurde gefunden, dass es isotaktisches Poly(propylenoxid) mit 99% oder mehr an isotaktischer Triade war, und vom Polymer (ii) wurde gefunden, dass es ataktisches Poly(propylenoxid) war, gemessen mit einem 13C-NMR-Verfahren. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Das vorstehende Zahlenmittel des Molekulargewichts (Mn) und Gewichtsmittel des Molekulargewichts (Mw) (deshalb auch Mw/Mn) wurden durch Gelpermeations-Chromatographie (GPC) unter den folgenden Bedingungen gemessen, wobei eine Eichkurve, die unter Verwendung von Standard-Polystyrolen erzeugt wurde, verwendet wurde:
Messgerät: LC-2000PLUS series, hergestellt von JASCO Corporation;
Säule: TSK-GELG-6000, G-5000, G-4000 und G-3000HXL, hergestellt von TOSOH
Corporation, wobei dieser vier Säulen in Reihe verbunden sind;
Messtemperatur: 40°C;
Lösungsmittel: Tetrahydrofuran; und
Probenkonzentration: 70 mg/mL. - Das vorstehende 13C-NMR-Verfahren wurde unter den folgenden Bedingungen durchgeführt:
Messgerät: 400-MHz-NMR, hergestellt von JEOL Ltd.;
Messtemperatur: 23°C;
Lösungsmittel: Chloroform-d; und
Probenmenge: 10 mg. - Beispiel 2
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt, ausgenommen dass Wasser zu 2,0 mmol Pentafluorphenol abgeändert wurde, wodurch 0,43 g Poly(propylenoxid) erhalten wurden.
- Eine GPC-(Gelpermeations-Chromatographie)Messung des vorstehend erhaltenen Poly(propylenoxids) zeigte zwei Peaks in einem Peakintensitätenverhältnis von 43,1:56,9 an. Vom erstgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 5.890.000 und einem Mw von 50.100.000 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 50.100.000/5.890.000 = 8,5) entsprach, und vom letztgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 1.100 und einem Mw von 1.800 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 1.800/1.100 = 1,6) entsprach. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Beispiel 3
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt, ausgenommen dass Wasser zu 2,0 mmol Pentafluorbenzoesäure abgeändert wurde, wodurch 0,55 g Poly(propylenoxid) erhalten wurden.
- Eine GPC-(Gelpermeations-Chromatographie)Messung des vorstehend erhaltenen Poly(propylenoxids) zeigte zwei Peaks in einem Peakintensitätenverhältnis von 36,5:63,5 an. Vom erstgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 10.600.000 und einem Mw von 21.200.000 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 21.200.000/10.600.000 = 2,0) entsprach, und vom letztgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 1.300 und einem Mw von 1.800 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 1.800/1.300 = 1,4) entsprach. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Beispiel 4
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt, ausgenommen dass die Zugabe von 2,0 mmol Wasser zur Zugabe von 2,0 mmol Wasser, dann eine Stunde lang gerührt und dann Zugabe von 2,0 mmol Pentafluorphenol abgeändert wurde, wodurch 0,48 g Poly(propylenoxid) erhalten wurden.
- Eine GPC-(Gelpermeations-Chromatographie)Messung des vorstehend erhaltenen Poly(propylenoxids) zeigte zwei Peaks in einem Peakintensitätenverhältnis von 41,4:58,6 an. Vom erstgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 12.500.000 und einem Mw von 161.000.000 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 161.000.000/12.500.000 = 12,9) entsprach, und vom letztgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 1.200 und einem Mw von 1.700 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 1.700/1.200 = 1,4) entsprach. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Beispiel 5
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt, ausgenommen dass PMAO-S zu 10,0 mmol-Al aus MMAO-3A, hergestellt von TOSOH FINECHEM CORPORATION, abgeändert wurde, wodurch 0,93 g Poly(propylenoxid) erhalten wurden.
- Eine GPC-(Gelpermeations-Chromatographie)Messung des vorstehend erhaltenen Poly(propylenoxids) zeigte zwei Peaks in einem Peakintensitätenverhältnis von 61,1:38,9 an. Vom erstgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 7.990.000 und einem Mw von 17.600.000 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 17.600.000/7.990.000 = 2,2) entsprach, und vom letztgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 1.300 und einem Mw von 1.800 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 1.800/1.300 = 1,4) entsprach. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Beispiel 6
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt, ausgenommen dass (i) PMAO-S zu 10,0 mmol-Al aus MMAO-3A, hergestellt von TOSOH FINECHEM CORPORATION, und (ii) 2,0 mmol Wasser zu 4,0 mmol Wasser abgeändert wurde, wodurch 0,62 g Poly(propylenoxid) erhalten wurden.
- Eine GPC-(Gelpermeations-Chromatographie)Messung des vorstehend erhaltenen Poly(propylenoxids) zeigte zwei Peaks in einem Peakintensitätenverhältnis von 69,7:30,3 an. Vom erstgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 10.000.000 und einem Mw von 24.100.000 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 24.100.000/10.000.000 = 2,4) entsprach, und vom letztgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 1.300 und einem Mw von 1.800 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 1.800/1.300 = 1,4) entsprach. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Beispiel 7
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt, ausgenommen dass (i) PMAO-S zu 10,0 mmol-Al aus MMAO-3A, hergestellt von TOSOH FINECHEM CORPORATION, und (ii) 2,0 mmol Wasser zu 5,0 mmol Wasser abgeändert wurde, wodurch 0,45 g Poly(propylenoxid) erhalten wurden.
- Eine GPC-(Gelpermeations-Chromatographie)Messung des vorstehend erhaltenen Poly(propylenoxids) zeigte zwei Peaks in einem Peakintensitätenverhältnis von 60,2:39,8 an. Vom erstgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 7.310.000 und einem Mw von 18.300.000 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 18.300.000/7.310.000 = 2,5) entsprach, und vom letztgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 1.400 und einem Mw von 2.100 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 2.100/1.400 = 1,5) entsprach. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Beispiel 8
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt, ausgenommen dass (i) PMAO-S zu 10,0 mmol-Al aus MMAO-3A, hergestellt von TOSOH FINECHEM CORPORATION, und (ii) 2,0 mmol Wasser zu 10,0 mmol Wasser abgeändert wurde, wodurch 0,62 g Poly(propylenoxid) erhalten wurden.
- Eine GPC-(Gelpermeations-Chromatographie)Messung des vorstehend erhaltenen Poly(propylenoxids) zeigte zwei Peaks in einem Peakintensitätenverhältnis von 40,9:59,1 an. Vom erstgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 19.700.000 und einem Mw von 39.400.000 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 39.400.000/19.700.000 = 2,0) entsprach, und vom letztgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 1.500 und einem Mw von 2.300 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 2.300/1.500 = 1,5) entsprach. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Beispiel 9
- Eine Toluollösung von PMAO-S (Alumoxanverbindung) wurde in einer Menge, die 10,0 mmol-Al an PMAO-S entsprach, unter Verwendung eines 50-mL-Kolbens abgewogen, der mit Stickstoffgas gespült worden war, wobei die Toluollösung von PMAO-S von TOSOH FINECHEM CORPORATION hergestellt worden war. Die Toluollösung in dem Kolben wurde mit 20 mL entwässertem Toluol verdünnt. 36 mg (2,0 mmol) Wasser (Hydroxylgruppen aufweisende Verbindung), welches zuvor bei Zimmertemperatur entgast worden war, wurde unter Rühren zu der PMAO-S-Lösung gegeben und dann wurde das Gemisch eine Stunde lang gerührt. Das resultierende Gemisch wurde auf –70°C herunter abgekühlt und 1,4 mL (20,0 mmol) Propylenoxid wurden dazu gegeben. Das Gemisch wurde 4 Stunden lang bei Zimmertemperatur gerührt und dann wurden die flüchtigen Komponenten in dem Kolben unter vermindertem Druck entfernt. Das resultierende Material wurde zweimal mit jeweils 20 mL entwässertem Hexan gewaschen und wurde eine Stunde lang im Vakuum getrocknet, wodurch sich ein weißes Pulver (präpolymerisierter Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysator) ergab.
- In einen 100-mL-Kolben, der mit Stickstoffgas gespült worden war, wurden 177 mg des vorstehend erhaltenen weißen Pulvers gefüllt und dann wurden 51,2 mL entwässertes Toluol dazu gegeben, wodurch das weiße Pulver in Toluol aufgelöst wurde. 6,0 mL Propylenoxid (Alkylenoxid) wurden zu dieser Toluollösung gegeben. Das Reaktionsgemisch wurde 72 Stunden lang bei 35°C gerührt. Die Polymerisationsreaktion wurde durch Zugeben von 3,0 mL konzentrierter Schwefelsäure gequencht. Das Gemisch wurde mit wässrigem Natriumhydroxid neutralisiert und wurde in eine Ölphase und eine wässrige Phase getrennt. Die flüchtigen Komponenten in der Ölphase wurden mit einem Rotationsverdampfer entfernt, wodurch 0,59 g Poly(propylenoxid) erhalten wurden.
- Eine GPC-(Gelpermeations-Chromatographie)Messung des vorstehend erhaltenen Poly(propylenoxids) zeigte zwei Peaks in einem Peakintensitätenverhältnis von 67,3:32,7 an. Vom erstgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 9.570.000 und einem Mw von 23.000.000 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 23.000.000/9.570.000 = 2,4) entsprach, und vom letztgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 1.300 und einem Mw von 1.800 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 1.800/1.300 = 1,4) entsprach. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 aufgeführt.
- Beispiel 10
- Beispiel 9 wurde wiederholt, ausgenommen dass PMAO-S zu 10,0 mmol MMAO-3A abgeändert wurde, wodurch 0,99 g Poly(propylenoxid) erhalten wurden.
- Eine GPC-(Gelpermeations-Chromatographie)Messung des vorstehend erhaltenen Poly(propylenoxids) zeigte zwei Peaks in einem Peakintensitätenverhältnis von 74,2:25,8 an. Vom erstgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 5.480.000 und einem Mw von 12.100.000 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 12.100.000/5.480.000 = 2,2) entsprach, und vom letztgenannten Peak wurde gefunden, dass er Poly(propylenoxid) mit einem Mn von 1.600 und einem Mw von 2.100 (deshalb sein Mw/Mn = 2.100/1.200 = 1,3) entsprach. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 aufgeführt. Tabelle 2

Claims (10)
- Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators, umfassend einen Schritt des Kontaktierens einer Alumoxanverbindung mit einer Verbindung, die eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweist.
- Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Verbindung, die eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweist, Wasser, Pentafluorphenol oder Pentafluorbenzoesäure ist.
- Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Poly(alkylenoxids), umfassend einen Schritt des Polymerisierens eines Alkylenoxids in Gegenwart eines Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators, hergestellt durch das Verfahren nach Anspruch 1.
- Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 3, wobei die Verbindung, die eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweist, Wasser, Pentafluorphenol oder Pentafluorbenzoesäure ist.
- Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 3, wobei das Alkylenoxid Propylenoxid ist.
- Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines präpolymerisierten Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators, umfassend die Schritte: (1) Kontaktieren einer Alumoxanverbindung mit einer Verbindung, die eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweist, wodurch ein Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysator gebildet wird; und (2) Präpolymerisieren eines Alkylenoxids in Gegenwart des Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators, wobei eine Menge des präpolymerisierten Alkylenoxids 0,1 bis 10 Mol pro einem Mol eines in dem Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysator enthaltenen Aluminiumatoms beträgt.
- Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, wobei die Verbindung, die eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweist, Wasser, Pentafluorphenol oder Pentafluorbenzoesäure ist.
- Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Poly(alkylenoxids), umfassend einen Schritt des Polymerisierens eines Alkylenoxids in Gegenwart eines präpolymerisierten Alkylenoxid-Polymerisationskatalysators, hergestellt durch das Verfahren nach Anspruch 6.
- Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 8, wobei die Verbindung, die eine Hydroxylgruppe aufweist, Wasser, Pentafluorphenol oder Pentafluorbenzoesäure ist.
- Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 8, wobei das Alkylenoxid Propylenoxid ist.
