Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a monofilament made of polyamide, especially for textile fabrics, e.g. B. for use in paper machines, a textile fabric, a process to manufacture such as well as the use of a Process for producing a textile fabric.
Derartige Flächengebilde finden u. a. als Papiermaschinenbespannungen, z. Such fabrics can u. a. as Paper machine clothing, e.g. B. use as press felts. felts with the still moist paper web or cellulose web moved over rollers and through a series of roller pairs, whereby water is withdrawn from the moist web during the passage becomes. The press felt not only serves as a support for the wet web, but also to that which is pressed out of the web Absorb water. That is in the conveyor belt-like press felt accumulating water is drained through drainage facilities removed, which are arranged in one place, for example the paper web is no longer directly on the press felt rests.
Trocknung stattfindet. After the area of mechanical drainage, the Paper web transferred to a dryer section in which essentially a thermal treatment and thereby a further dewatering or drying takes place.
In the area of the dryer section are used as material for the Paper machine clothing primarily monofilaments used that are thermally resistant, such as PPS, PCTA as well stabilized PETP.
The focus is on the press section of the paper machine on the other hand on the mechanical resistance of the for Covered monofilaments, so here in primarily polyamides, such as. B. PA 6, PA 6.6, PA 6.10 and PA 6.12 can be used because they have high strength, especially with permanent mechanical loads.
A disadvantage of such a covering is that the polymers used are highly hygroscopic, d. H. a high one Have water absorption capacity. The water diffuses primarily over the amorphous areas of the partially crystalline polyamide and thus causes swelling of Fiber. This swelling behavior is called hygral expansion designated and is particularly for the dimensional accuracy of the End product disadvantageous.
In addition to the hygral expansion, however, the water absorption draws also a faster aging of the polyamides used yourself. The mechanical properties in the temporal course in that the water from the amorphous areas shifted to the crystalline areas and is inserted between the molecular chains. hereby the molecular distances are widened and those for the responsible mechanical properties Hydrogen bonds weakened. The monofilaments used from PA 6, PA 6.6, PA 6.10 and PA 6.12 show in the course of Use therefore an embrittlement or a tendency to splice.
Furthermore, EP 0 784 107 A2 discloses a To produce monofilament, which in addition to the polyamide 1 to 30% by weight of a maleic anhydride modified Polyethylene / polypropylene rubber and up to 3% by weight Contains aging stabilizers. This is supposed to Abrasion resistance and dimensional stability of the technical Fabric can be improved.
This measure makes the polyamide hydrophobic Properties. However, this is one Polyamide due to the opposing properties of the involved polymers difficult and expensive to produce.
From US-A-5,998,551 and JP-A-81 12 052 is a cross-linked polyamide block polymer known. From the US-A-4,853,164 is a process for making high strength fibers known. From US-A-4,421,819 is a paper machine fabric known from polyethylene. From US-A-4,778,633 is a Processes for producing high-strength polyethylene fibers are known.
The object of the present invention is a monofilament to provide polyamide, the improved mechanical Properties, particularly with regard to abrasion, the Strength and the tendency to splice but also in terms of Features change over time. Farther it is the object of the invention to create a textile fabric, especially shaped screens or press felts z. B. for the Cellulose fiber processing or papermaking as well Process for producing such a textile To provide fabric.
In the present case, the task is carried out by a monofilament of the type mentioned with 99.9 to 90 wt .-% polyamide and 0.1 to 10 wt .-% of a crosslinking amplifier dissolved, wherein the polyamide is at least partially cross-linked. In which Polyamide is a meltable and spinnable, thread-forming polyamide.
Such a monofilament has the advantage that the Molecular chains through networking, in the course of which Form covalent bonds, closer and closer to each other be bound and thus the insertion of water molecules between the molecular chains across the amorphous area is prevented. An expansion or loosening of the Then hydrogen bonds no longer take place.
The aging-related degradation of the mechanical properties can be greatly reduced. Finally, the mechanical properties of the Filaments improved. So the invention Monofilaments e.g. B. less abrasion and less Tendency to splice.
In particular, it is provided that the monofilaments are not only networked in their peripheral areas, but that networking across the entire cross section of the Monofilament stretches. It is an advantage if none Core / cladding effects can be observed, e.g. B. at a chemical crosslinking can occur.
In particular, it is provided that the monofilament 0.5 to 5% by weight crosslinking amplifier and particularly preferably 1 contains up to 3 wt .-% crosslinking amplifier. As Networking amplifier can e.g. B. TAIC (triallyl isocyanurate) or TAC can be used. TAIC is commercially available under the Description "Beta link master" u. a. from the company Plastic Technology Service Marketing- und Vertriebs GmbH, Adelshofen, available.
It is particularly envisaged that only a partial Networking takes place because of complete networking embrittlement of the threads results.
In particular, PA 6 or PA 6.6 or Find mixtures of both. But it can also other polyamides or mixtures with or from others Find polyamides.
The invention further relates to a textile fabric, in particular a forming screen or press felt e.g. B. for the Cellulose fiber processing or paper production, in which at least the warp thread made of monofilaments with the above described features. The warp thread that is in the manufacture z. B. endless woven felt runs in the transverse direction, is particularly important for the dimensional accuracy of the fabric responsible.
Finally, the invention relates to a method for Manufacture of textile fabrics, comprehensively Monofilaments with the features described above, the Monofilament extruded and then stretched and is woven, the monofilaments with before extrusion a crosslinking amplifier and the Monofilaments before and / or after weaving with Electron beams are irradiated and thereby the polyamides partially networked.
The crosslinking with electron beams has compared to the chemical crosslinking the advantage that no core / shell Effects occur, d. that is, the monofilaments over their entire cross-section and not only in the edge area (jacket) are networked. The electron beams penetrate the whole Monofilament, so that even inside it a network he follows.
It can be provided that the complete tissue, ie the tissue completely, or just sections of the tissue too irradiate, with only partial radiation can be provided to achieve certain effects in the tissue achieve.
According to one embodiment, the radiation should be 0.1 up to 100 kGy, in particular with 10 to 60 kGy and especially with 15 to 30 kGy.
Further refinements of the invention result from the other registration documents.
In several experiments, the invention was Monofilament subjected to different treatments what is shown below. On the first try, the Values of the first sample without activator and before irradiation and in the second trial, the values of the first sample recorded without activator after radiation. The third The values of the second sample with activator were tested before the irradiation and in the fourth experiment the values of the second sample with activator determined after irradiation, what can be seen in Table 1. Table 1 clarifies that the threads are not due to radiation have been damaged.
Monofilamenten. Bei diesem Versuch wurden von allen
Materialien 10 Proben hergestellt. Alle Proben wurden jeweils
nach 24 Stunden entnommen und auf Festigkeit geprüft.

In Figs. 1 to 3 further attempt is shown in which at different polyamide samples in an autoclave over a period of 240 hours at 120 ° C in saturated steam, a hydrolysis test was performed. It has been shown ( FIGS. 1 to 3) that it can be clearly seen that the tensile force of the sample with activator drops less strongly after the irradiation than the other samples. The drop in traction is a measure of chemical damage, e.g. B. by longitudinal cracks or by deformation into a polygon. In addition, the shrinkage is less than for the samples without an activator. It is striking that the hygral expansion is unchanged and the change in diameter in the sample with activator is significantly less than in the sample without activator. The tensile strength of the monofilament according to the invention drops less strongly. Here too, the gradient represents a measure of the damage to the monofilament. The gradient of the change in tensile strength is smaller than in the known monofilaments. In this experiment, 10 samples were made from all materials. All samples were taken after 24 hours and checked for strength. Table 1
