Durch das nachfolgende Verschwenken des Eingabefachs um etwa 90° in die waagerechte Vereinzelungsstellung wird der ausgerichtete Blattgutstapel in die üblicherweise im wesentlichen horizontale Abzugsposition überführt, so daß mittels Reibrädern oder anderen Fördereinrichtungen eine Zuführung des untersten oder gegebenenfalls auch obersten Blatts zur Abzugseinrichtung erfolgen kann. Aufgrund dieser erfindungsgemäßen Anordnung befinden sich in der Vereinzelungsstellung alle Blätter bezüglich einer ihrer Blattkanten in einer korrekt ausgerichteten Position unabhängig von dem jeweiligen Blattformat. Banknotenstapel, die unterschiedlichste Banknotenformate enthalten, können auf diese Weise zuverlässig vereinzelt werden, ohne daß Reibräder oder andere Förderelemente zum korrekten Ausrichten des Blattguts erforderlich sind.
