Description
The invention relates to a glass barrel sensor for sprinkler systems, which in Fire extinguishes the extinguishing agent outlet openings of the system.
In fire extinguishing technology it is known to use sprinkler and extinguishing systems Trigger glass barrel sensors. Such sensors have a glass barrel with an enclosed liquid. By means of a holding device the glass barrel via a seal against the opening of the sprinkler or pressed and closes a media-carrying line. The principle is that when heated, the trapped in the glass keg Liquid the pressure in the glass barrel rises so much that it bursts and thereby opens the opening of the sprinkler or the pipeline. The Extinguishing media can escape immediately or get into dry extinguishing systems to the extinguishing agent outlet opening. With the pressure drop in The system is controlled by the system and the pumps continue to run Provision of the extinguishing agent. Essential criteria for effectiveness and reliability of such systems are the trigger temperature and the Response speed of the glass barrel sensors. The vapor pressure in the Glass barrel enclosed liquid or the size of the bladder be is the height of the trigger temperature, the size of the diameter of the Glasfässchens the response speed. With a number of practical However, it has been shown that the responsiveness of the Glass barrel sensors is not sufficient. In the time between fire and destruction of the glass barrel sensor by hot gases spreads the fire unhindered. That is why early detection and detection of fire Fire alarm systems with more sensitive sensors than those on heating responsive glass barrel sensors developed. So it is already known to constantly analyze the air of a room and determine the slightest trace of fire gases trigger a signal. Other systems monitor the temperature development in a room, d. that is If an impermissible temperature gradient occurs, a signal for Fire detection and / or fire is triggered. To delete a Such fire detection systems must always have a fire extinguishing system be coupled, the ge extinguishing agent to the source of the fire after the signal long. In dry systems, this is done by opening a valve, so that the extinguishing agent exits through the extinguishing agent outlet openings can. If the extinguishing system is a sprinkler system, the glass kegs by overpressure of the extinguishing agent from their holder the. However, sprinklers are also known, whose glass barrels are mecha niche are destroyed. For example, the glass barrel sensor of a sprink of the Danish brand GW-DD1-EL by electrical actuation of a Metron actuator destroyed within 10 milliseconds. The disadvantage of this Electrically triggered sprinklers is that they are high in manufac require effort and are therefore very expensive. The electromechanical Tripping must be serviced regularly. Furthermore, they hinder me mechanical destruction of the glass keg required parts such as coils housing and plunger the spread of the extinguishing agent.
It is also known, the glass barrel of a sprinkler through the ignition a pyrotechnic capsule. The attachment of the pyrotechni capsule on the sprinkler requires special constructive and also si safety measures and is therefore complex. The triggering of the Capsule and the associated destruction of the glass barrel can be caused by flying fragments lead to a hazard.
The problem of the invention is thus one by electrical Remote triggering destructible glass barrel sensor for sprinkler systems wrap that requires less manufacturing and maintenance. In addition, no hazard should occur after its destruction and after its destruction the spread of the extinguishing agent no more than it has been is hindered by conventional sprinkler housings.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by the features of the first patent claim solved. All other claims relate to special ones Refinements of the glass barrel sensors according to the invention.
The sprinklers can be triggered without any mechanically moving parts. In Connection with the monitoring of temperature and / or smoke development in a room using conventional fire alarm systems Sprinklers are triggered remotely rather than by their own alone mixed response due to the prevailing space in their environment temperature is possible. The firefighting that started earlier increases the chances of a safe liquidation of the fire in his Formative stages.
As with the heating elements used in addition to these as well their electrical leads, which depend on the destruction of the glass keg fall, there are no other parts on the sprinkler, the extinguishing can emerge freely from the open opening. Furthermore occurs when The glass barrel sensor no longer splinters as usual on because the invention triggers the principle of the glass barrel sensor was maintained by heating the liquid therein.
The connection between the glass barrel and the heating element is different possible. In the simplest case, a heating element is on the outside of the mecha glass barrel nich clamped. It is also possible to use the heating element of a heat-resistant adhesive on the wall. In both In cases, there is no need to change the glass keg itself Heating element already in the manufacture of the glass kegs in their walls integrated or led through their interior, they have Glass barrel sensors have a high sensitivity and response speed, since the heating of the liquid takes place directly through the heating element. Even if this variant of the equipment of the glass barrel with a Heating element in its manufacture a change in its manufacturing technology means, the sprinkler itself does not require any construction ver changes. The equipment according to the invention more conventional Glass barrel sensors with electrical heating elements therefore enables one Fast and inexpensive production of electrically triggered sprinklers.

Fig. 6 einen in einen Sprinkler eingebauten Glasfasssensor. Fig. 6 is a built-in a sprinkler glass bulb sensor.
In the simplest case, glass barrel sensors are equipped with heating elements or retrofitted. To this end, FIGS. 1 and 2, that is attached to a glass tube 1 in its lower third of an annular resistive heating element 2. The resistance heating element 2 is arranged in the lower third of the glass tube 1 because of the rising heat. It is designed as an open ring, the inner diameter of which is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the glass tube 1 , and consists of an electrically conductive, elastic material. In the initial state, the two edges created by the division of the ring can touch or be at a short distance from one another. On both sides of this division, the resistance heating element 2 has electrical connections 3 with which electrical lines 4 are detachably connected. When pushed onto the glass tube 1 , the resistance heating element ( 2 ) is slightly bent apart, and when it springs back, it clamps firmly on the glass tube 1 , so that the two edges with their connections 3 now no longer touch each other with certainty.
A significantly faster heating of the liquid 5 in the glass tube 1 than is possible by means of the resistance heating element 2 applied externally to the glass tube 1 is achieved in that a heating coil 6 , as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, is located directly in the Glass tube 1 is located. Their connections 3 are passed through the wall of the glass tube 1 and are also easily detachably connected to the lines 4 .
As a third variant of the equipment of a glass vessel with a sensor element Heizele Fig. 5 shows a sealed in the wall of the glass tube 1 resistance heating. 7 In this variant, too, when the glass tube 1 bursts, the lines 4 are quickly separated from their connections 3 and thus an immediate release of the extinguishing agent outlet opening of the extinguishing system is provided.
Fig. 6 shows a sensor with an electrically triggerable according to the invention glass vessel equipped sprinkler. This consists of the housing 8 , which in this case is screwed upright into the extinguishing agent line by means of its threaded connector 9 . As a result, its baffle plate 10 is at the top. The glass tube 1 is clamped in the housing 8 . As already described in Fig. 1, the resistance heating element 2 is placed around the glass tube 1 , which is connected via its connections 3 and electrical lines 4 with the remote trigger solution, not shown. From all examples, the relatively simple elec trical remote triggering of sprinklers using a heating element can be seen.
