Description
sowie landwirtschaftliche und gartenbauliche Fungizide, welche diese Verbindungen als aktive Bestandteile enthalten.and agricultural and horticultural fungicides containing these compounds as active ingredients.
So far, much research has been devoted to finding organic compounds useful in agriculture and horticulture, and a number of biologically active compounds have been found and put to practical use. Many active compounds of the amide series, which have a similar structure to the compounds prepared according to the invention, have been prepared, and some of them are used as herbicides or fungicides. For example, as substituted benzamide derivatives, ethyl N-benzoyl-N- (3,4-dichlorophenyl-2-aminopropionate (benzoylprop-ethyl) useful as a herbicide and 2-methyl-N- (3-isopropoxyphenyl) benzamide (mepronil) are usable as Fungicide known compounds of the pyrazole herbicidal series are also known, and for example, 4- (2,4-dichlorobenzoyl) -1 / 3-dimethylpyrazol-5-yl-p-toluosulfonate (pyrazolate) and 4- (2.4 Dichlorobenzoyl) -5-benzoylmethoxy-1,3-dimethylpyrazole (pyrazoxyphene) are widely used in Japan as rice plant herbicides.
Japanese Offenlegungsschrift 167978/1982 discloses substituted acylaminoacetonitrile derivatives having a furan ring as herbicides and Fungiz.de, but these compounds are phytotoxic to crops. In this publication 4-pyridylcarbonyl, 2-furylcarbonyl, 2-thienylca.bonyl and 2-benzofurylcarbonyl groups are described as heterocyclic bonded carbonyl groups which are acyl groups.
In Chemical Abstracts, some examples of the synthesis of saturated aliphatic acylamino derivatives constructed analogously to the pyrazole derivatives of the present invention are described. Specifically, synthetic examples of 2-benzoylaminobutyronitrile are described in J. Chem. Soc., 1963, pp. 2143-2150, and Synthesis, 1972, No. 11, pp. 622-624, and synthesis examples of 2-benzoylaminopropionitrile in Bull. Soc. Fr., 1969, No. 11, pages 4108-4111, and Justus Liebigs Ann. Chem., 1972, 764, pages 69-93. However, these articles do not say anything about the biological activities of the compounds described.
Compounds having various chemical structures have been used as agricultural and horticultural fungicides and have played a largely significant role in the control of plant diseases and, as a result, have contributed to the development of agriculture. However, some of these compounds do not have sufficient control activity and safety. For example, captafol, TPN, captan and dithiocarbamate chemicals have been widely used against late blight and powdery mildew of various cultured plants, and contributed to the yield of field crops. However, these compounds mainly have a preventive effect against late blight and powdery mildew, and could not be expected to have a curative effect at all. Therefore, they have the serious drawback that they can not be expected to have a sufficient effect when applied after the diseases have occurred. If actual control of plant diseases is considered, the chemicals should be used more or less after the onset of the diseases. As a result, it is difficult to completely control the plant diseases by these compounds. Furthermore, these compounds must be used in very high concentrations in order to have a controlling effect and their use is limited for safety reasons. In addition, some of the above compounds have not negligible toxicity to fish. In order to solve the above problems, extensive research has been carried out on new controlling agents and N-phenylalanine ester derivatives such as metalaxyl (methyl-N (2,6-dimethylphenyl) -N- (2'-methoxy-acetyl) - alaninate), which has a better, preventative and curative effect than agents for combating plant diseases caused by Phycomycetes, and enjoys worldwide acceptance. The problem with these N-phenylalanine ester derivatives is that fungi that have acquired resistance to these compounds have already occurred and their fungicidal activity has decreased.
It is an object of the present invention to overcome the drawbacks of the above-described prior art and a process for the preparation of compounds for use as active ingredient in agricultural and horticultural fungicides and agents for controlling harmful microorganisms which have both preventive and curative effects Cereal diseases such as late blight and downy mildew or fire are widely applicable and non-toxic to crops, warm-blooded animals and fish.

(III) (IV) (I)(III) (IV) (I)
The aminoacetonitrile (IV) is dissolved in a solvent inert to the present reaction and one equivalent or slight excess of a base is added. Then, the pyrazolecarboxylic acid chloride (III) is gradually dropped. When the aminoacetonitrile salt is used, a base required to neutralize it is additionally added. Examples of an inert solvent include ethers such as diethyl ether, diisopropyl ether, tetrahydrofuran ur dioxane; Hydrocarbons, such as benzene, toluene, xylene and ligroin; halogenated hydrocarbons, such as dichloromethane, chloroform and carbon tetrachloride; Esters such as ethyl acetate and ethyl propionate; and aprotic, polar solvents such as Ν, Ν-dimethylformamide, dimethylsulfoxide and 1,3-dimethylimidazolidinone. Pyridine can be used both as a base and as a solvent. Examples of the base are organic bases such as triethylamine, dimethylaniline and pyridine, and inorganic bases, ammonia, potassium carbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium hydrogencarbonate, sodium hydroxide and ammonium carbonate. This reaction should not be carried out at too high temperatures, since the thermal stability of the a-aminoacetonitrile derivatives (IV) is low. Further, since this is an exothermic reaction, it is desirably carried out under cooling (0 to 5 ° C). After the addition, the mixture is stirred at room temperature to complete the reaction. The reaction time, which may vary depending on the reaction temperature, is usually 0.5 to 4 hours. After the reaction, the crude product is usually obtained. The resulting pyrazole derivative can be easily isolated and purified by conventional methods such as recrystallization and column chromatography. The present invention further provides a fungicide for agriculture and horticulture comprising a pyrazole derivative of the general formula (I) as an active ingredient. As an agricultural and horticultural fungicide, the compounds produced according to the present invention exhibit a control effect on a wide range of plant diseases, especially late blight and downy mildew of various crops caused by Phycomycetes. The major plant diseases that can be controlled by the compounds of the present invention include potato haulm (Phytophthi. 'Infestans), tomato haulm (Phytophthora infestans), tobacco black rot (Phytophthora parasitica var. Nicotiana), strawberry lint (Phytophthora cactorum) , Mildew or fire of the garland chrysanthemum (Peronospora chrysanthemi), phytophthora of Adzukibohne, false vine mildew (Plasmopara viticola), cucumber powdery mildew (Pseudopersonospora cubonsis), false hop powdery mildew (Pseudoperonospora humuli) and seedling disease of various crops, caused by fungi Generic Pythium and Aphanomyces.
The compounds prepared according to the present invention can be applied by seed pickling, foliar application, soil treatment, etc. They exhibit sufficient efficacy using any of the methods commonly used by those skilled in the art. The results given in Table 3 clearly show that the compounds prepared according to the invention have a high control action against plant diseases caused by Phycomycetes, such as potato late blight, tomato-leaf rot and cucumber downy mildew, not by spraying, but also by soil saturation treatment. This is in stark contrast to the fact that the Bei. Vaccines A, B, C and D, which are considered to be very similar to the compounds of the invention, little or par show no control effect against these diseases. Further, the compounds of the present invention, as compared with zinc ethylene bis (dithiocarbamate) and tetrachloroisophenyl thalonitrile, which are currently on the market and widely used against these plant diseases, show a preventive effect at much lower dosages and at the same time have a curative effect have a soil-soak preventative effect, which these two commercial chemicals do not possess.
As is clear from the above description, the pyrazole derivatives of the present invention have an excellent anti-fouling effect as an agricultural and horticultural fungicide against various plant diseases caused by Phycomycetes. Since they have a curative effect, they are expected to exert a controlling effect even if they are applied after the plants have been infected.
The system of control of diseases in plants in agriculture and horticulture can be greatly changed by the compounds according to the invention, and this clearly results in a large Arbeitsersp.vni 3 by the breeders. As a result, agricultural chemicals containing the pyrazole derivatives of the present invention have excellent properties as agricultural and horticultural fungicides and are very valuable.
