Description
Verfahren zur IsobutenoligomerisationProcess for isobutene oligomerization
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of isobutene oligomers by oligomerization of pure isobutene or by selective oligomerization of isobutene from C. hydrocarbon mixtures and cooligomers of isobutene and but-1-ene from said mixtures, for example, in pyrolysis plants for ethene production and in Refinery plants arise. The isobutene oligomerizates can be used as starting materials for the production of EP additives for the lubricant industry, of copolymers which serve as paper auxiliaries and as paint base materials, and of gasoline fuels.
It is known that isobutene, but-1-ene and E- and Z-but-2-ene can be oligomerized and polymerized in a cationic way. The isobutene shows the greatest tendency to polymerize, which manifests itself in the high reaction rate and the achievable high molecular weights of the polymers.

It is also known that oligomerizations of isobutene can be carried out from its mixtures with other saturated and unsaturated components, but only in the rarest cases are pure isobutene oligomers obtained.
It is also known that ion exchange resins are used as catalysts for the oligomerization of isobutene also from C, -hydrocarbon mixtures. Thus, in DD-AP 29 491 a sulfonated styrene-divinylbenzene resin is used in addition to many other applications for the oligomerization of pure isobutene. Ira formed oligomer are dimer ©, trimers and tetramers of isobutene in the mass ratio of 1: 2: 1 included. Studies on isobutene oligomerization from C, hydrocarbon mixtures by VYBIHAL (Sb. Pr. Vyzk. Chem. Vyuziti Uhli, Dehtu Ropy 1972 , 43-59) are mainly concerned with the influence of technical parameters of grain size, pressure and temperature the oligomerization. For an economical isobutene conversion, temperatures above 100 C are required, as expected, the selectivity of the reaction less v / ird and increases the proportion of codimers with the but-1-ene in the product.
According to DE-PS 1,194,398, isobutene is oligomerized in a continuous process from fractions of hydrocarbons in the liquid phase in the presence of a cation exchange resin with sulfonic acid groups. The oligomerization is carried out in a stirred tank cascade at temperatures mainly from 90 to 110 C.
Patent 4,242,530 describes the process of separating isobutene from C, mixtures. A distillation column reactor is used in which an acidic cation exchange resin is used as a fixed bed catalyst in the entry zone. At reaction temperature
The methods presented here show the disadvantages that either high oligomerization temperatures must be used in order to achieve economical isobutene conversions or to use dry ion exchange resins for the oligomerization.
The aim of the invention is an economical and efficient process for the preparation of both oligomers of isobutene from the pure monomer and oligomers of isobutene with the lowest possible proportions of cooligomers with but-1-ene in a particularly advantageous manner from the mixture of isobutene other saturated and unsaturated C, hydrocarbons out, the disadvantages of known methods are eliminated. The unreacted but-1-ene of the residual gases should be used for further reactions.
Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß reines Isobuten oder Isobuten aus C.—KohlenwasserstoffgemischenThe invention has for its object to develop an economical and rational process for the preparation of both Horaooligomeren of the isobutene from the pure monomers as well as oligomers of isobutene from C, hydrocarbon mixtures without prior separation of isobutene from hydrocarbon mixtures, wherein the proportions of cooligomers of the isobutene with but-1-en in the oligomerizate should be kept as low as possible when using C. hydrocarbon mixtures as isobutene source. The object is achieved in that pure isobutene or isobutene from C. hydrocarbon mixtures
Das nicht umgesetzte But-1-en der Restgase kann für weitere Reaktionen, z.B. zur Oxidation zu Maleinsäureanhydrid, zur Oligomerisation und zur Polymerisation eingesetzt werden.from ethylene production plants or refinery plants with the aid of known macroporous ion exchange resins having strongly acidic functional groups in the liquid phase between 0 ° C. and 120 ° C., but preferably between 20 ° C. and 80 ° C. and below from the vapor pressure of C 2 -C hydrocarbons of the respective oligomerization temperature without using an auxiliary solvent. The water content of the catalyst may be between 0 and 8% by mass and its particle size between 0.05 and 1.5 mm, preferably between 0.3 and 1.4 mm. Gel-like exchange resins in granular form (spherical form) do not catalyze the oligomerization. The oligomerization reaction can be controlled in terms of selectivity of the conversion of the unsaturated components of the C. hydrocarbon mixture and product composition by the water content of the ion exchange resin, the temperature and the manner of carrying out the reaction (continuously or discontinuously). The isobutene conversion can already amount to up to 100% after one stage. The advantages of the method according to the invention over known methods include the fact that the ion exchange resin does not have to be used completely anhydrous and can be easily separated from the reaction product by its comparatively coarse grain size and causes a lower pressure drop in the reactor when the oligomerization is carried out continuously in a flow reactor. The unreacted but-1-ene of the residual gases can be used for further reactions, for example for the oxidation to maleic anhydride, for the oligomerization and for the polymerization.
