Abstract

A crankcase with a crankcase ventilation assembly that also allows crankcase pressure to be reduced at low intake manifold pressure during low engine load and includes the crankcase (1), at least one cylinder (2), an air inlet (3), a pressure valve (4) and an intake manifold (5) comprising a throttle valve (6). The air inlet (3) is connected to at least one cylinder (2) via the intake manifold (5), and the crankcase (1) is connected to the intake manifold (5) behind the throttle valve (6) and to the intake manifold (5) in front of the throttle valve (6). The pressure valve (4) is located in the connection between the crankcase (1) and the intake manifold (5) behind the throttle valve (6). The assembly further comprises a control valve (7) connected to the pressure valve (4), to the intake manifold (5) in front of the throttle valve (6) and to the intake manifold (5) behind the throttle valve (6), and the control valve (7) is adapted to regulate the opening and closing of the pressure valve.
