Abstract

Una composición que comprende:(a) almidón catiónico,(b) goma catiónica galactomannan, y(c) ácido;donde la proporción de goma catiónica de galactomannan con respecto al almidón catiónico es desde 1:1 a 1:20; y la cantidad de ácido es tal que una solución acuosa de la composición tiene un pH de 7.2Un proceso para mejorar la resistencia y/o drenaje en seco de productos de papel que comprende:(1) proporcionar un precipitado de pulpa de papel acuoso,(2) agregar la composición de la reivindicación 1 al precipitado de pulpa de papel; y(3) recuperar el producto de papel en forma de hoja seca.
