Abstract

Se revelan en la presente solicitud composiciones poliméricas absorbentes útiles en la absorción de fluidos corporales tales como orina, menstruación y similares. En particular, la invención se refiere a composiciones poliméricas absorbentes de intercambio iónico de lecho mixto que tienen de capacidad absorbente bajo una presión restrictiva de 4,8 kPa y/o 9,6 kPa. La invención también se refiere a elementos absorbentes que comprenden las composiciones poliméricas absorbentes de intercambio iónico de lecho mixto y artículos absorbentes que comprenden los elementos absorbentes. Una composición polimérica absorbente de intercambio iónico de lecho mezclado que tiene una capacidad de Desempeño Bajo Presión (PUP) en solución de orina sintética bajo una carga aplicada de 4,8 kPa, de por lo menos 30 g/g aproximadamente después de dos horas. Una composición polimérica absorbente de intercambio iónico de lecho que comprende (i) un polímero absorbente de intercambio catiónico; y (ii) un polímero absorbente de intercambio aniónico, en donde la capacidad de intercambio iónico del polímero absorbente de intercambio aniónico es de por lo menos 15 meq/g aproximadamente. Una composición polimérica absorbente que tiene una capacidad de Desempeño Bajo Presión (PUP) en solución de orina sintética bajo una carga aplicada de 9,6 kPa, de por lo menos 32 g/g aproximadamente después de 4 horas. <EMI FILE="98077583_1" ID="1" IMF=JPEG >
