Abstract

Un método para crear una imagen de una fuente virtualcomprende las etapas: iluminar un medio con un campo ondulatorio de propagación que tiene cierto espectro de frecuencias desde una fuente real; muestrear el campo ondulatorio de propagación; realizar la reconstrucción del campo ondulatorio en la ubicación de la fuente virtual para formar la imagen, usando por lo menos un componente de frecuencia aparente que no está presente en el campo ondulatorio de iluminación proveniente de la fuente real. Un método para crear una imagen de una fuente a partir de un campo ondulatorio de propagación comprende las etapas de: realizar un muestreo que es discreto, por lo menos en una variable del campo ondulatorio;realizar una reconstrucción con variables encadenadas del campo ondulatorio; asignar resolución durante la reconstrucción con variables encadenadas de la variable que tiene contenido de frecuencia aparente fuera de los limites Nyquist para dicho muestreo; y formar un registro de salida de los resultados de dicho paso de reconstrucción con variables encadenadas. 1Un método de crear una imagen de un medio como resultado de su iluminación por un campo ondulatorio de propagación, que comprende las etapas de: muestrear el campo ondulatorio de propagación con una función de antena conocida; siendo dicha etapa de muestrear discreta por lo menos en una variable; realizar la reconstrucción del campo ondulatorio en una ubicación en el medio, por medio de las etapas de: recuperar al menos una frecuencia aparente correspondiente a dicha variable discreta por fuera de la banda definida por los criterios de la teoría de muestreo; usar soluciones acopladas de espacio-tiempo en la Ecuación de Onda con base en las velocidades del campo ondulatorio de propagación en el medio.
