Abstract

La presente invención revela un sistema de tratamiento de agua y aguas residuales basado en un reactor electroquímico que se compone de dos electrodos (ánodo y cátodo) que son irradiados por lámparas de radiación UV. El sistema de tratamiento de aguas revelado por la presente invención es susceptible de implementación, al mismo tiempo, de procesos de adsorción electroquímica, fotocatálisis y fotólisis, logrando la generación de hidrógeno y gas de síntesis a partir del tratamiento del agua. En el sistema de la invención, se adhiere a los electrodos un material adsorbente que es sujetado por un soporte mallado. El sistema presenta también una membrana de intercambio iónico, que separa dos piezas que conforman la carcasa donde en el interior de cada pieza, se ubican los electrodos anódicos y catódicos. Para eliminar los gases en la corriente de fluido que están ingresando al reactor electroquímico, el sistema presenta un dispositivo válvula de purga de gas ubicado a la entrada del tratamiento.The present invention discloses a water and wastewater treatment system based on an electrochemical reactor that is composed of two electrodes (anode and cathode) that are irradiated by UV radiation lamps. The water treatment system revealed by the present invention is capable of implementing, at the same time, electrochemical adsorption, photocatalysis and photolysis processes, achieving the generation of hydrogen and synthesis gas from water treatment. In the system of the invention, an adsorbent material is adhered to the electrodes and is supported by a mesh support. The system also presents an ion exchange membrane, which separates two pieces that make up the casing where, inside each piece, the anodic and cathodic electrodes are located. To eliminate the gases in the fluid stream that are entering the electrochemical reactor, the system presents a gas purge valve device located at the treatment inlet.
