Abstract

插座连接器
【技术领域】
本实用新型是有关一种插座连接器,尤指一种具有发光二极管的插座连接器。
【背景技术】
插座连接器,又称RJ插座连接器,它通常用在网络和计算机***设备***中以传输声音和数据。RJ插座连接器通常是用来连接两设备以传输讯息。为了确保两设备电性连接的完整性,常见的方式为在RJ插座连接器上安装一种独立于电性连接的发光二极管以提供有关连接状态及错误信息的视觉显示。在美国专利第4978317,5685737及5704802号案中均揭示了具有这种发光二极管的RJ插座连接器,其中发光二极管总是成L形,它包括一水平稳定件和一种垂直固定件,两者均嵌入到插座连接器的相应槽道中。然而,此发光二极管未能提供一种校正或稳定装置以确保发光二极管稳定、安全地定位在RJ插座连接器上。
一种具有安全可靠发光二极管的改进型插座连接器克服了现有技术的缺点。
【发明内容】
本实用新型的目的在于提供一种具有嵌入式发光二极管组件的插座连接器,其发光二极管可安全组装于插座连接器的本体中和印刷电路板上。
为达成上述目的,本实用新型采用如下技术方案:插座连接器,包括绝缘本体、端子模组及组装于绝缘本体内的发光二极管组件,其中绝缘本体具有顶壁、底壁、一对侧壁及由顶壁、底壁、侧壁共同确定的收容槽,在邻近其中之一个侧壁的顶壁上具有狭槽和延伸设于狭槽中的钩部;端子模组收容于绝缘本体的收容槽内,包括固定基座和若干个固定在其上的端子;发光二极管组件包括基座和位于其上的发光二极管,发光二极管收容在绝缘本体的狭槽内,基座设置配合面以配合钩部从而确保发光二极管定位在狭槽内。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型通过在绝缘本体的狭槽中设置向上延伸的钩部以与在发光二极管组件的基座上设置的配合面相配合,从而达到使发光二极管组件安全、稳定地定位在插座连接器上的效果。
下面结合附图及具体实施方式对本实用新型作进一步说明。

【具体实施方式】
请参照图1至图4,本实用新型插座连接器1包括一绝缘本体2、一收容在绝缘本体2内可与对接插头连接器(未图示)的端子相配合的端子模组3、一收容在绝缘本体2内的发光二极管组件4和包覆在绝缘本体2***用于接地的遮蔽体5。
如图1与图2所示,绝缘本体2包括顶壁22、底壁23及与顶壁、底壁相邻的一对侧壁21,由顶壁22、底壁23及侧壁21共同确定一收容槽25以收容对接插头连接器和端子模组3,在邻近侧壁21的一顶壁22的前边缘上具有一对狭槽220和在狭槽220中向上延伸的一对钩部221,在每一侧壁21的低部具有一长槽211及一凸块212。
端子模组3包括一基座30、一矩形固持板33及若干个端子31,其中基座30包括一对设于其相对横向边缘处的凸缘301和若干个通孔302;固持板33包括一对设在其相对边缘处用以收容绝缘本体2的凸块212的凹槽331、一对设在其顶部边缘以利发光二极管41***的开口333及若干个用于收容相应端子31的通孔332;每一端子31均包括一组装在基座30的相应通孔302和固持板33的相应通孔332中的固定部312、一从固定部312向前延伸至绝缘壳体2的收容槽25中用以与插头连接器电性连接的接触部及从固定部312向后延伸并电性连接至印刷电路板(未图示)上的尾部313。
请参照图3,发光二极管组件4呈叉状结构,而其侧面则呈L形结构,其包括基座40和一对安装在其上的发光二极管41,基座40包括一对与发光二极管41相对的配合面42以与绝缘本体2的相应钩部配合。
请参照图4与图5,在组装时,端子模组3是从本体后方组入其收容槽内,同时,绝缘本体2的凸块212收容于固持板33的凹槽331中,而基座30的凸缘301则收容于绝缘本体2的长槽211中,随后,遮蔽体5包覆于本体***,其后端部51向下弯折,而后端部的开口则与设于遮蔽体的相对两侧部50上的扣片500相配合,通过这种方式确保遮蔽体5固定在绝缘本体2上。发光二极管组件4组装于绝缘本体2内,其发光二极管通过固持板33的开口333***到顶壁22的狭槽220内。狭槽内的钩部221和二极管的相应配合面42相配合以防止发光二极管组件向后移动,借此可将发光二极管组件4安全组装于绝缘本体2上。

Claims (7)

1.一种插座连接器,包括绝缘本体、端子模组及组装于绝缘本体内的发光二极管组件,其中绝缘本体具有顶壁、底壁、一对侧壁及由顶壁、底壁、侧壁共同确定的收容槽,在邻近其中之一个侧壁的顶壁上具有狭槽;端子模块收容于绝缘本体的收容槽内,包括固定基座和若干个固定在其上的端子;发光二极管组件包括基座和位于其上的发光二极管,发光二极管收容在绝缘本体的狭槽内;其特征在于:绝缘本体的狭槽内设置有钩部,发光二极管组件的基座上设置有一可与钩部相配合的配合面,从而确保发光二极管定位在狭槽内。
2.如权利要求1所述的插座连接器,其特征在于:端子模组包括固持板以使端子可靠地组装于绝缘本体的收容槽内。
3.如权利要求2所述的插座连接器,其特征在于:固持板设置有用于收容相应端子的若干个通孔和利于发光二极管***绝缘本体狭槽中的开口。
4.如权利要求2所述的插座连接器,其特征在于:在固持板的两个横向边缘上具有凹槽,绝缘本体的侧壁上具有可与凹槽相接合的凸块以确保固持板固持在槽内。
5.如权利要求1所述的插座连接器,其特征在于:每一端子均包括有安装在端子模组的固定基座中的固定部、从固定部向前延伸至槽内的接触部及从固定部向后延伸的尾部。
6.如权利要求1所述的插座连接器,其特征在于:端子模组的固定基座包括向外延伸的凸缘,本体的侧壁上设有用于收容相应凸缘的长槽。
7.如权利要求1所述的插座连接器,其特征在于:发光二极管组件呈叉状结构,而其侧面则呈L形结构。
