Description

Mounting assembly for a control member of an embedded faucet and embedded faucet
Technical Field
The present utility model relates to a mounting assembly for mounting a control, i.e. a handle, of an embedded faucet, i.e. a faucet having components configured for mounting in at least two parts, one of which is embedded on a mounting surface for mounting an adjusting device, while the other of which couples the control, trim, and water outlet conduit to the embedded part.
Background
Conventionally, the embedded faucets known in the prior art comprise an embedded part and an external part mounted on said embedded part, without the traditional concept of the faucet as an entire part, which is directly mounted and comprises all the elements in a separate mounting device: a water inlet, an adjusting member, a control member and a pipe.
The embedded portion typically includes inlets from the hot and cold water lines, as well as direct connections, and the flow regulator valves/cartridges themselves, one for each water inlet and outlet of each valve/cartridge, until it is combined in the mixed water outlet conduit.
The outer portion has: a garnish, which is generally mounted on a threaded portion located in a fixed portion of these cartridges; and a control member independently coupled to the adjustment box itself; a water outlet conduit. When installing the control member, the control member is typically inserted into the trim until the control member is coupled and secured to the control valve, thereby fixing the position of the control member and coupling the rotational movement of the control member to the rotational movement of the valve.
These trim and control assemblies are independent of each other and need to be individually adjusted using a fixing tool to fix the control and trim in the correct assembled position by means of locking screws or the like.
This design means that the installation of the external controls of the prior art embedded faucets must be performed in multiple steps and each control has multiple parts, so that the adjustment tools of these external parts must be used to install and adjust each element individually.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present utility model to provide a mounting assembly for mounting a control of an embedded faucet, and a faucet incorporating the mounting assembly, such that the mounting assembly and faucet are capable of solving the above-mentioned drawbacks, while presenting the advantages that will be described next.
In accordance with this object, and in accordance with a first aspect, the present utility model is based on a mounting assembly for mounting a control of an embedded faucet, the control being typically mounted in an embedded subassembly of the embedded faucet. The mounting assembly, which is the object of the present utility model, comprises at least one rotary control and a trim piece, wherein, advantageously, the mounting assembly comprises:
-a first auxiliary element or portion having an externally threaded extension for receiving a trim piece mounted on the embedded subassembly;
a second auxiliary piece of the control piece with a coupling extension which is mounted in the embedded subassembly and on the adjusting device;
a mounting comprising a trim piece and a control piece joined together in one piece, and
the mounting element is mounted as an engagement element on a first auxiliary element and a second auxiliary element mounted in the embedded subassembly.
The utility model is advantageously configured such that the mounting element comprises an internal thread in the trim element which is screwed into the external thread length for receiving the first auxiliary element. In another aspect, the mount further includes a control link coupled to the coupling extension of the second auxiliary member, the coupling configured to transmit rotational movement of the control member to the second auxiliary member.
Another feature of the present utility model is that the garnish and the control member are rotated independently although engaged in the same mount, the rotational movement of the garnish is not transmitted toward the control member to make the rotational movement of the control member during the mounting of the garnish, or the rotational movement of the control member is not transmitted toward the garnish to make the rotational movement of the garnish during the adjusting operation of the control member, while the entire mount is moved and adjusted longitudinally only by the screwing action of the garnish.
This advantageous configuration may have a mounting assembly that allows the mounting member, i.e. the control member and the trim piece of the control member, to be mounted on the embedded sub-assembly without the use of tools, thereby saving mounting time and reducing the risk of unintentional marking of the visible portion by the use of tools.
The control member and the trim element engage each other but do not engage in rotational movement of the control member and the trim element. Although the control element and the trim element are joined to form the same mounting, on the one hand the trim has a threaded adjustment member that longitudinally replaces the assembly of the mounting, whereas the control element performs the peripheral coupling by means of its complementary geometry of the coupling member and of the coupling extension auxiliary mounted on the adjustment device. This allows the control member to follow the longitudinal mounting movement of the trim piece by rotation on an auxiliary member having an externally threaded extension without affecting the radial position of the control member. Instead, the adjustment movement of the control member will be transmitted entirely through the geometry complementary to the coupling extension mounted on the adjustment device, without affecting the threaded connection position of the ornamental piece.
In this way, the adjustment of the mounting on the embedded subassembly can only be performed by screwing the trim piece, so that it is adjusted to the mounting depth determined by the installer. In this configuration, the trim piece and control assembly will be in the final position of the two parts without any adjustment elements and/or additional adjustment elements, only by direct threaded connection, thereby facilitating cleaning and easy installation.
Faucet tubes that are part of the external subassembly of an embedded faucet are typically installed by conventional means that require auxiliary means to fix the position, such as, for example, a lock nut.
According to a preferred embodiment of the utility model, the first auxiliary element having an externally threaded extension for receiving the trim part is formed by a cylindrical bushing having an externally threaded extension and a coupling part which is coupled to the adjusting device or to a coupling device of the adjusting device which is coupled to the embedded subassembly.
Also and preferably, the second coupling extension aid is formed by a cylindrical member having an external groove or the like for longitudinal coupling by means of a complementary geometry of the coupling portion of the mounting member, thereby transmitting a rotational movement between the engaged control member, the second aid and the adjustment device element. Longitudinal coupling of complementary geometries is understood to mean coupling of the longitudinal direction of the assembly of one part into the other part, such that they engage their rotational movement by the complementary geometries of the two parts.
This configuration of the auxiliary element allows for a direct and simple installation for the final coupling of the mounting element.
In a possible embodiment of the utility model, the two auxiliary elements are joined to form a mounting assembly. This will facilitate assembly of the auxiliary elements, although such assembly will make the manufacture of the auxiliary elements more expensive, as such assembly will require a more complex design comprising an assembly or bond between the auxiliary elements, or a single part comprising both.
In accordance with the above object, and in accordance with a second aspect, the present utility model is also based on an embedded faucet having an embedded subassembly and an external subassembly. The embedded subassembly comprises an inlet connection for the hydraulic line, at least one connection for the adjusting device, at least one adjusting device, and a conduit for the mixing water outlet conduit. The outer subassembly includes at least one control member, at least one trim piece, and a water outlet conduit.
The utility model is advantageously configured such that the outer subassembly comprises at least one mounting assembly according to the first aspect of the utility model described above.
This allows for an embedded faucet with a control mounting assembly that does not require the use of tools for external components, thereby reducing the installation time and risk of unintentional marking with the visible portion of the tool.
According to a possible embodiment of the utility model, the tap has two adjustment controls, both of which are mounted on the tap as mounting assemblies.
