Description

Cooling fan module and vehicle
Technical Field
The utility model belongs to the field of automobile parts, and particularly relates to a cooling fan module and a vehicle with the same.
Background
Vehicle engines require heat removal. In many cases liquid is always cooled. This cooling is accomplished by an electric coolant pump (often referred to simply as an "electric water pump") mounted on the engine block and directly rotated by the engine.
The pump forces engine coolant through coolant passages in the engine, where the coolant absorbs engine heat, then through a water tank, where the heat is removed, and back to the pump inlet to complete the fluid cycle. In many cases a fan driven directly by the engine or by an electric motor is used to draw ambient air across the water tank so that heat within the tank is removed by heat transfer from the coolant to the ambient air, thereby cooling the engine. The pump is secured to the cooling fan by a plastic clip (not shown), however such plastic clips are prone to breaking or loosening, causing the pump to generate undesirable noise during operation.
Therefore, a new cooling fan module that can securely mount the pump is desired.

Detailed Description
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the present invention comprehensible, embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below. First, it should be noted that the terms of orientation such as up, down, left, right, front, rear, inner, outer, top, bottom, etc., mentioned or possibly mentioned in the present specification are defined with respect to the configurations shown in the respective drawings, and they are relative concepts, and thus may be changed accordingly depending on the position and the use state thereof. Therefore, these and other directional terms should not be construed as limiting terms.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic structure of a cooling fan module according to the present disclosure. As is apparent from fig. 1 and 2, the cooling fan module 100 may be composed of a fan assembly 200, a support structure 300, a pump 400, and the like. The fan assembly 200 includes a fan 210 for cooling a heat exchanger (not shown) of a vehicle, a fan housing 220 for accommodating the fan 210, and an electric motor (not shown) for driving the fan 210, wherein the fan housing 220 is fixedly coupled with the support structure 300. In addition, the pump 400 is secured to the support structure 300 by a U-nut fastener assembly 500. Specifically, the U-nut fastener assembly 500 includes a U-nut fastener 510 and a bolt, wherein the U-nut fastener 510 is clamped to the support structure 300 by means of a U-clip. The design enables the pump 400 to be quickly mounted on the support structure 300, and the connection is stable and not easy to loose. In addition, the pump 400 is less likely to generate noise during operation.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 1, the number of the fan assemblies 200 is two, one end of the support structure 300 is fixedly connected to the fan housing 220 of one of the two fan assemblies 200, and the other end of the support structure 300 is fixedly connected to the fan housing 220 of the other of the two fan assemblies 200. Thereby, the pump 400 can be seated in the gap between the two fan assemblies 200, maximizing the use of the inner space of the cooling fan module 100. Referring also to fig. 3, one end of the support structure 300 is provided with a first boss 310, and the other end of the support structure 300 is provided with a second boss 320, and the pump 400 is fixed to the first boss 310 and the second boss 320 of the support structure 300.
In other preferred embodiments in combination with the above embodiments, the number of the U-nut fastener assemblies 500 is two, the U-nut fastener 510 of one of the two U-nut fastener assemblies 500 is clamped to the first boss 310 of the support structure 300 by a U-clip, and the U-nut fastener 510 of the other of the two U-nut fastener assemblies 500 is clamped to the second boss 320 of the support structure 300 by a U-clip. The two U-nut fasteners 510 are the same size, however, their installation orientation may be arranged differently.
It is easily understood by those skilled in the art that the first boss 310 and the second boss 320 of the support structure 300 are respectively provided with holes for receiving bolts, and both sides of the pump 400 are respectively provided with flanges 410, and the flanges 410 are provided with holes for receiving bolts.
For ease of manufacture, the support structure 300 and the fan casing 220 may each be made of plastic and designed as a single piece.
By way of example, the pump 400 may be an electric coolant pump. Specifically, the electric coolant pump may include components such as a pump assembly, a stator, a rotor, and a circuit board.
In addition, the utility model also provides a vehicle. The vehicle can be various vehicles such as a private car, a taxi, a bus, a midbus or a bus. The vehicle is provided with the cooling fan module 100 described above, and the cooling fan module 100 is mounted at an engine compartment of the vehicle. In addition, the cooling fan module 100 may further include a heat exchanger, wherein the fan 210 is connected to the heat exchanger and the pump 400 is in fluid communication with the heat exchanger.
In summary, the cooling fan module of the present invention has a simple structure, is easy to manufacture and install, and is not prone to generate noise. It is therefore highly recommended to apply the cooling fan module to a vehicle.
