The fixing ring 3 projects axially beyond the spoke 2, to be precise at least to such an extent that the part of the brake caliper 5 has sufficient free space between the brake disc 4 and the spoke 2.
The brake caliper 5 with the brake linings 12 (only one of which is shown in fig. 2) has a slot 13 which is inserted from the radial inside of the brake disk 4 in the region of the brake disk 4. During braking, the brake linings 12 are pressed against the two sides of the brake disk 4 by means of a control lever 18, which can be actuated, for example, by means of a conventional bowden cable and a brake lever, not shown. The brake caliper 5 is fixed to a rear swing arm 6 (fig. 1) of a frame of the vehicle through a screw hole 19 and a screw.
Even if the braking device is described in connection with fig. 1 and 2 as a rear wheel brake, it will be clear to the person skilled in the art that this brake can also be mounted on the front wheel of the vehicle in the same way.
Fig. 3 and 4 illustrate the fixation of the brake disk 4 to the fixing ring 3. In fig. 4, the brake disc 4 has structures 14, i.e. recesses projecting radially inwards, while the fixing ring 3 has counter-structures 15, i.e. projections projecting radially inwards, corresponding to these recesses.
In addition or as an alternative to the axial retention of the brake disk 4 on the fixing ring 3, a fixing pin 16 can be provided, which is inserted into bores of the fixing ring 3 and the brake disk 4 aligned with one another. Screws may be used instead of the fixing pins 16.
