A smoking article according to claim 1, wherein said flavor segment is cylindrical and includes a spiral cooling member therein, said spiral cooling member including a spiral channel, said beads in said flavor segment being disposed in said spiral channel, said beads being spaced from the inside of said spiral channel by a predetermined gap to allow said beads to roll in said spiral channel, said aerosol-generating carrier being electrically heated to generate an aerosol which is delivered to said mouthpiece through said spiral channel.
3. A smoking article according to claim 2, wherein the spiral cooling member is a cylindrical single-spiral rod, the single-spiral grooves of the single-spiral rod are uniformly arranged around a rod axis of the single-spiral rod, an outer diameter surface of the single-spiral rod is in close contact with an outer layer of the flavor segment to form a closed single-spiral channel, the beads in the flavor segment are arranged in the single-spiral channel, a predetermined gap is maintained between the beads and an inner side of the closed single-spiral channel so that the beads can roll in the single-spiral channel, and the aerosol-generating carrier is transported to the mouthpiece through the closed single-spiral channel when electrically heated.

A smoking article according to claim 1 or 3, further comprising a cylindrical barrier section, one end of said barrier section being adjacent said flavour section and the other end of said barrier section being adjacent said aerosol-generating carrier, said barrier section including a plurality of apertures therethrough for the passage of said aerosol therethrough.

A smoking article according to claim 1, further comprising a cylindrical single helical rod wrapped by an outer wrapper, one end of the single helical rod being adjacent the aerosol-generating carrier and the other end of the single helical rod being adjacent the flavor segment, the single helical flutes of the single helical rod being disposed uniformly about the rod axis of the single helical rod, the outer diameter of the single helical rod being in intimate contact with the outer wrapper to form a closed single helical channel, the aerosol-generating carrier being cooled by the single helical channel of the single helical rod upon electrical heating and entering the flavor segment, the aerosol being flavored by the flavor segment and entering the mouthpiece.

A smoking article according to claim 1, further comprising a cylindrical single-helical rod wrapped by an outer wrapper, one end of the single-helical rod being adjacent the flavor segment and the other end of the single-helical rod being adjacent the mouthpiece, the single-helical flutes of the single-helical rod being uniformly disposed about the rod axis of the single-helical rod, the outer diameter of the single-helical rod being in intimate contact with the outer wrapper to form a closed single-helical channel, the aerosol-generating carrier being flavored by the flavor segment and then entering the single-helical channel of the single-helical rod for cooling, and then the aerosol entering the mouthpiece.
7. A smoking article according to claim 4, wherein the aerosol-generating substrate comprises a paper tube of aluminized paper having a high-permeability plug of paper at the end thereof, and a particulate tobacco material contained within the paper tube, the plug having a plurality of apertures.
