技术领域
本发明涉及用于吹塑塑料容器组件的预成形组件,由该预成形组件吹塑的塑料容器组件以及制造该预成形组件和容器组件的方法。
背景技术
在塑料容器的制造中,通常注模或压模一容器预成品,该容器具有本体和带有一个或多个外部螺纹或其它紧密连接部件的颈部成品。预成形颈部成品典型被模制成其最终形状,而预成品的本体接下来被吹塑成所需的容器本体形状。预成品可以是单层结构,或可以是多层结构,其中预成形本体中的一个或多个中间层能够或不能延伸进入预成形的颈部成品。美国专利4,609,516、4,710,118和4,954,376示例了多层预成形容器的注模。
将容器的颈部成品部分模制成预成形容器的一部分存在几个问题。例如,当通过注塑形成预成形容器时,塑料材料典型被注入在预成形本体的闭合端的模腔中,使得塑料材料必须沿着预成形模腔的侧面流入颈部成品在其中被模制的区域中。颈部成品典型比预成形的本体需要更精确和稳定的尺寸,这限制了预成形模制过程的周期时间。而且,预成形的颈部成品的材料与单层预成形本体相同,并且至少与多层预成形本体的外部层相同,这限制了在颈部成品获得最理想材料特性的能力。当预成品为诸如聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)的聚酯结构时,预成品的颈部成品可以完全或部分地结晶以改善尤其在热填充容器应用中颈部成品区域的操作特性。然而,颈部成品至少与多层预成形本体的外部层相同的需要仍然限制了预成形工艺的设计能力。
发明内容
根据本发明的一个方面的一种制造预成形组件的方法包括在压模的塑孔栓上提供塑料成品圆环,以及在注模中的成品圆环上压模塑料预成品。
根据本发明的第二方面,提供了一种用于吹塑容器组件的预成形组件,该预成形组件包括模制塑料成品圆环和压模到成品圆环的塑料预成品,使得塑料预成品的颈部部分径向互相接合成品圆环。
根据本发明的第三方面,提供了一种由预成品组件吹塑的容器组件,该预成品组件通过将预成品压模到模制的塑料成品圆环制成。容器组件包括模制塑料成品圆环,以及其上具有径向互相接合所述成品圆环的颈部部分的塑料容器。

具体实施方式
图1示例了根据本发明当前优选的实施例的预成形组件20,其包括预成品22和固定该预成品上的分离成品圆环24。预成品22可以用注塑法制造,但是优选采用将在下面具体讨论的压模法制造。预成品22由任何合适的塑料材料构成,例如单层聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)等或多层PET等,在多层PET中,PET的矩阵层例如由一层或多层防渗树脂材料,例如乙烯醇(EVOH)、尼龙等替换。成品圆环24由注塑或压模等方法制成,并且由任何理想的材料组成,例如PET、快速消耗树脂(PCR)、加工再研磨(REG)、聚丙烯(PP)、聚乙烯(PE)、聚乙烯萘并吡咯(PEN)等。然而,优选地,成品圆环24由不同于预成品22的材料组成,例如预成品2的材料是非结晶PET,而成品圆环24的材料是结晶PET。
图2示例了根据本发明的另一当前优选实施例由图1的预成形组件20吹塑的容器组件120,该容器组件包括以在所有方面与预成形组件20相同方式固定到容器122的成品圆环24,容器组件120通过该成品圆环吹塑。因此,将不为该实施例描述这种固定细节。
在图1中,预成品22包括闭合下端26并且以本体28的形式从该下端向上延伸,该本体终止于与本体26一体化模制的圆柱形颈部30。(诸如“上”和“下”的方向词相对附图中示例的预成形组件和部件的竖直方向以描述方式使用,并且是非限制性的。诸如“径向”、“圆周”的方向词相对于预成形颈部和成品圆环的轴线同样以描述方式使用并且是非限制性的。)同样如图3-5所示,成品圆环24为连续圆周,并且包括具有一个或多个外部螺纹或螺纹部分34的环形圆柱壁32。在附图中示例的优选实施例中,圆周卷边36在螺纹34下围绕壁32的外表面的周围延伸,用于与密封物(未示出)上的篡改指示(tamper-indicating)机构共同作用以被固定在最终容器的成品部分上。封盖或支撑凸缘38从壁32的下端径向向外延伸,在本发明所示例的实施例中使成品圆环24具有基本L形侧面横截面。如图5最佳所示,成品圆环24包括在顶端和底端44、46之间延伸的圆柱形内表面40和锥形内表面42。锥形内表面42中设有环状凹槽38,这将在下面参考图6A一8进一步描述。
现在基本参考图6A-8,其示例了根据本发明的典型方法使用的压模装置50。在图6A中,装置50包括位于压模54上的塑孔栓52。压模54包括闭合的底端56、本体部分58和部分成品部分60,上述三个部分一起限定了模腔62。装置50在图6A中处于打开位置,如图所示,其中预成形材料64的填料被导入压模腔62,并且预先制造的成品圆环24位于压模塑孔栓52上。填料64被软化和熔化,从而符合并填充模腔62的下端。带有在其上安装的成品圆环24的塑孔栓52和铸模54垂直定位。
如图6B所示,然后将塑孔栓52和成品圆环24放入铸模54以压缩包覆模制部分在成品圆环24内的填料64。术语“包覆模制”为本领域术语,在此使用的意思是将一个柔软或熔化状态的部件模制成固态或成品状态的另一部件。所熔化的预成形材料填料64在塑孔栓52和铸模54之间向上或向前流动。结果,形成包括闭合底端26、本体28和颈部30的预成品22。然而更重要的是,通过将预成品22包覆模制成成品圆环24形成预成形组件20。其后,如图7所示,将塑孔栓52与在其上安装的包括预成品22和成品圆环24的预成形组件20一起抽出。
如图8所示,预成形组件20包括在一部分成品圆环24内部分压模的预成品22。更具体地说,预成品22的颈部30包括具有环状突起68的上部66,该环状突起延伸进入成品圆环24的环状凹槽48,从而将成品圆环24完全径向互锁或互相接合到预成品22。在成品圆环24中的环状凹槽48也可以被表示成径向凹进或径向互相接合零件。在预成品22和成品圆环24之间的径向互相接合给倾向于分离部件22、24的轴向施加力提供正阻力。预成品22也包括对应于成品圆环24的锥形或圆锥内表面42的锥形或圆锥外表面70。成品圆环24的锥形内表面42比塑孔栓52的对应部分的直径大。因此,在塑孔栓52、成品圆环24的锥形内表面42和预成品22的导向边缘74之间设有小缝72。依据预成形组件20,在成品圆环24的转变点76和预成品22的前边缘74之间设有小缝72,其中转变点76定义为圆柱形或直内表面40和锥形内表面42的相交点。有意提供小缝72以允许熔化预成品填料的尺寸、体积或重量的公差内变化。换句话说,至少应当在预成品和成品圆环24的最多材料状态下存在一些小缝72,以确保在其之间的正确安装,而不会存在由于预成品材料过度包覆进入成品圆环24造成的变形。术语“过度包覆”是本领域术语,用于此是指过量的所熔化聚合物被压模并且倾向于导致难以从压模装置退出制成的一个或多个部分的状况。过度包覆还倾向于导致在制成的一个或多个部分内的热变形和残留应力。
通过上述的一个或多个实施例,本发明提供了多个优势。本发明便于预成形组件和容器组件的制造,其中成品圆环由不同于该成品圆环与其径向互相接合的预成品或容器的材料。同样,本发明便于将各种尺寸和/或材料的成品圆环用于一般尺寸的预成品和/或容器。而且,本发明能够减少制造预成品所需的周期时间,这是因为(形成颈部成品部分的)过程限制可以隶属于用于只制造成品圆环的单独、同时的制造过程。在一些管道中,本发明能够减少每个预成品的单位价格,这是因为模制工具可以被简化和降低成本以省略预成品的螺纹成品部分典型需要的复杂螺纹***特性。
因而,已经描述了用于吹塑容器组件的预成品组件、由该预成品组件吹塑的塑料容器组件和制造该预成品组件和容器组件的方法。已经关于本发明的当前优选实施例公开了本发明,并且已经讨论了多种修改和变化。本领域普通技术人员根据前面的描述将容易的理解暗含其中的其它修改和变化。实际上,本发明意味着包含落入后附权利要求范围的所有修改和变化。

Claims (15)

1.一种制造预成形组件的方法,包括:
在压模的塑孔栓上提供塑料成品圆环;以及
将塑料预成品在铸模中压模到成品圆环上。
2.根据权利要求1的方法,其中该方法包括在注模中提供预成品材料的填料,并且其中在压模步骤期间至少一部分预成品材料在成品圆环和塑孔栓之间流动。
3.根据权利要求2的方法,其中成品圆环包括互相接合零件,并且其中在压模步骤期间至少一部分预成品材料流入互相接合零件中。
4.根据权利要求1的方法,其中成品圆环具有直径大于塑孔栓的内部接合表面,并且其中在接合表面和塑孔栓之间形成至少一部分模制的预成品。
5.根据权利要求1的方法,其中在成品圆环和塑孔栓的内部接合表面之间提供小缝,并且其中在压模步骤期间该小缝不被完全填充。
6.根据权利要求1的方法,其中在注模中提供预成品材料的填料,并且使塑孔栓和成品圆环进入注模,使预成品材料流入接合成品圆环的内表面。
7.由权利要求1的方法制造的预成形组件,包括预成品和成品圆环。
8.一种制造容器组件的方法,包括吹塑权利要求1的预成品以形成容器。
9.一种由权利要求8的方法制造的容器组件,包括容器和成品圆环。
10.一种用于吹塑容器组件的预成形组件,其包括:
模制的塑料成品圆环,以及
塑料预成品,该塑料预成品被压模到成品圆环使得塑料预成品的颈部部分与成品圆环径向互相接合。
11.根据权利要求10的预成形组件,其中成品圆环在其中具有至少一个径向互相接合零件,并且其中塑料预成品的颈部部分与至少一个径向接合零件接合。
12.根据权利要求10的预成形组件,其中成品圆环包括具有下锥形表面、上笔直表面以及两者之间的相交点的内部表面,并且其中在相交点和塑料预成品的颈部部分的前边缘之间具有开口小缝。
13.一种容器组件,包括:
模制的塑料成品圆环,以及
由预成形组件吹塑成的塑料容器,该预成形组件包括具有压模到成品圆环的颈部部分的预成品。
14.根据权利要求13的容器组件,其中成品圆环具有至少一个内部径向相互接合零件,并且其中塑料容器的颈部部分与至少一个径向相互接合零件接合。
15.根据权利要求14的容器组件,其中成品圆环包括具有下锥形表面、上笔直表面以及两者之间的相交点的内部表面,并且其中在相交点和塑料预成品的颈部部分的前边缘之间具有开口小缝。
