Abstract

Description
发明背景
[0001]本发明涉及保护性涂料和它们所覆盖的紧固件,具体而言,涉及这样的涂料和紧固件:其可保护装配在一起的两种不同金属或其中之一不受结构上的腐蚀或损坏。
[0002]本发明适合与许多金属和金属结合物一起使用。它特别适合于钛的涂层。一个特别的应用涉及钛紧固件,其通常用于飞行器的铝结构及类似物中。
[0003]通常,使用高强度的钛或钛合金紧固件来装配铝或铝合金结构,诸如航空器的那些结构。众所周知,由于这些组件中存在电化学偶合效应(electro-chemical coupling effects)而引起的动电作用常常导致不希望的铝或钛元件的腐蚀,或二者皆被腐蚀。已知如果湿润的话,在与钛的接触中,铝趋向于电流引起的腐蚀性攻击。此外,经常遇到的苛刻的盐或酸环境增加这些结构的腐蚀易感性。当紧固件是诸如航空工业通常使用的过盈配合的类型,紧固件上的涂料必须是坚韧的,并且充分地附着,以抵受压配合工艺(force fitting operation),这个事实又增加了问题。这些涂料也必须保持相近耐受度。

[0008]另一类用于金属表面的非铬酸盐的腐蚀抑制性涂料组合物包括至少一种选自下面的抑制剂:磷酸盐、磷硅酸盐、硅酸盐以及它们的混合物,其具有至少一种选自钛酸盐和锌盐的抑制剂。该组合物也可以包括硼酸类化合物(borate),诸如硼酸,以及琥珀酸盐。优选的磷酸盐包括磷酸二氢钙,优选的钛酸盐为二氧化钛钠(sodium titaniumoxide)。锌盐可以包括磷酸锌或氰氨化锌。

发明概述

优选实施方案的详细描述
[0019]在飞行器中,防止由动电作用引起的紧固件组件的腐蚀一般通过给紧固件镀上抗腐蚀的材料,诸如镉或铝,给紧固件覆上有机或无机涂料,包括作为腐蚀抑制剂的磷酸盐、钼酸盐、硅酸盐和铬酸盐,这一般是昂贵的并且常常不能提供完全的保护、足够的韧度和粘着性。尽管在腐蚀抑制性涂料中,铬酸盐作为腐蚀抑制剂已经被用作产业标准,这些铬酸盐可能是有毒的,希望能够停止使用基于铬酸盐的腐蚀抑制性涂料。

[0023]当涂料厚度必须控制在小于0.0001英寸时,如很多紧固件的情况,无机成分的颗粒尺寸应为10微米或更小。染料应该根据标准的研磨工艺被研磨进入涂覆材料中。
[0024]在上述每一实施方案中,腐蚀抑制性成分被悬于酚醛热固性树脂中,其溶解于挥发性溶剂载体,使混合物具有液体的稠度,但涂覆之后快速干燥。应该根据标准的调漆工艺(paint mixing techniques)将混合物彻底和均匀地混合。溶剂可以是低级烷基醇,诸如甲醇、乙醇、丙醇或异丙醇,或者相似的溶剂,诸如甲、乙酮或挥发性溶剂范围内的石油镏出物,诸如二甲苯或甲苯,或者两种或更多种这些溶剂的混合物。对许多应用,聚四氟乙烯也可以包括在涂覆材料中,其可从DuPont获得,商标为TEFLON。对特殊的应用,也可以包括阳离子型湿润剂,诸如脂肪酰胺肼(fatty amido diamine)。
[0025]腐蚀抑制性成分与树脂和溶剂混合物的比率的范围可以大约从3%到15%,以重量计。当使用聚四氟乙烯,它的范围可以大约从1%到40%,以树脂和溶剂的混合物的重量计。使用的溶剂载体的量应该足够提供期望程度的流动性,这在某种程度上依赖于其是否通过喷、蘸或刷,或者相似的方式应用。
[0026]当涂料要被应用在钢或合金钢零件时,经常希望在混合物中使用阳离子型湿润剂,诸如脂肪酰胺肼,因为引入脂肪酰胺肼能够得到这样的涂料:该涂料表现出优良的抗腐蚀性,特别是在盐雾(salt spray)存在的情况下。该涂料可以涂覆于热加工工具钢和合金钢,可以给予这些钢优良的腐蚀保护。
[0027]应用涂覆材料的优选方式是喷,尽管也可以以蘸或刷来代替。由于载体溶剂的挥发性,它很快地干燥并固化。将涂料涂覆于紧固件以后,对其进行烘烤。据发现,在涂覆材料对紧固件的应用中,紧固件上固化的涂料的厚度可以控制在0.0002到0.0005英寸之间。这个厚度控制是重要的,也是期望的,特别是在螺纹紧固件的情况下,以保证合适的螺纹配合(thread fit),以及在飞行器质量(aircraft quality)过盈或非过盈型的紧固件的情况下。过盈配合紧固件的制造通常是通过将它们的直径制成稍大于孔的直径,所述的孔穿过要紧固的结构部件。将此类紧固件塞过紧固件的孔一般导致紧固件涂覆的表面的磨损。据发现,根据本发明应用的抗腐蚀涂料有时能够润滑紧固件,以抵抗磨损并帮助保持涂料对紧固件的附着。
实施例
[0028]多种抗腐蚀涂料是以酚醛树脂的基本载体配制物配制的,其用于乙醇溶液中,加入聚乙烯醇缩丁醛和邻苯二甲酸二辛酯(DOP)以降低脆性,并向其中加入不同的腐蚀抑制剂和染料。使用多种其它的添加剂,诸如充当润滑剂的聚四氟乙烯,以及充当染料的铝粉。用抗腐蚀涂料涂覆钛紧固件,所述钛紧固件***铝块(aluminum block)中,以形成组合件。每个组合件经受3.5%氯化钠水溶液中的交替浸没循环,持续1000小时。每个循环由以下步骤组成:将组合件在氯化钠盐溶液中浸10分钟,取出紧固件,对其进行50分钟的强制风干(forced airdrying)。试验在75华氏度的环境温度下进行。交替浸没筛选(screening)试验的结果如下表所示。该结果以数字化的0到10的范围给出,其中0为没有保护,对应于未涂覆的紧固件,10是几乎完全保护的水平,如使用含有六价铬化合物的涂料得到的保护水平。

Claims (10)
1.一种紧固件,其具有外部的涂料,所述涂料含有抗腐蚀组合物,改进在于其中所述抗腐蚀组合物包括:
以重量计约8%的无机成分的盐,其由阳离子和阴离子形成,其中阳离子选自锌和钙,阴离子选自硅酸根、磷酸根、碳酸根和氧化物;
以重量计约8%的1-(苯并噻唑-2-硫基)琥珀酸;并且
所述的无机成分的盐和所述1-(苯并噻唑-2-硫基)琥珀酸被悬于剩余部分中,所述剩余部分包括酚醛热固性树脂,并且得到的涂料被干燥和烘烤。
2.权利要求1的紧固件,其中所述剩余部分进一步包括脂肪酰胺肼。
3.权利要求1的紧固件,其中所述剩余部分进一步包括聚四氟乙烯。
4.权利要求1的紧固件,其中所述剩余部分进一步包括染料,其选自二硫化钼、铝、聚丙烯和它们的结合物。
5.权利要求1的紧固件,其中所述抗腐蚀组合物被溶于挥发性溶剂载体中。
6.一种紧固件,其具有外部的涂料,所述涂料含有抗腐蚀组合物,改进在于其中所述抗腐蚀组合物包括:
以重量计约4%的无机成分的盐,其由阳离子和阴离子形成,其中阳离子选自锌和钙,阴离子选自硅酸根、磷酸根、碳酸根和氧化物;
以重量计约4%的1-(苯并噻唑-2-硫基)琥珀酸;
以重量计约4%的(2-苯并噻唑硫基)琥珀酸胺复合物;并且
所述无机成分的盐,所述1-(苯并噻唑-2-硫基)琥珀酸和所述(2-苯并噻唑硫基)琥珀酸胺复合物被悬于剩余部分中,所述剩余部分包括酚醛热固性树脂,并且得到的涂料被干燥和烘烤。
7.权利要求6的紧固件,其中所述剩余部分进一步包括脂肪酰胺肼。
8.权利要求6的紧固件,其中所述剩余部分进一步包括聚四氟乙烯。
9.权利要求6的紧固件,其中所述剩余部分进一步包括染料,其选自二硫化钼、铝、聚丙烯和它们的结合物。
10.权利要求6的紧固件,其中所述抗腐蚀组合物被溶于挥发性溶剂载体中。
