技术领域
本发明涉及一种切削工具刀片,其包括基体以及以高强度和刚度结合到基体的、优选地为多晶金刚石PCD或立方氮化硼cBN的陶瓷烧结体,并且涉及其制造方法。
背景技术
具有cBN或cBN基材料(以下仅仅称为cBN)、或者PCD的刀刃的用于金属切削目的的切削工具刀片通常具有多边形形状,在其至少一个角部的凹槽内设置有PCD或cBN尖端。尖端通常具有两种类型。在第一种类型中,整个尖端具有cBN或PCD或者它们的混合物。在第二种类型中,尖端具有烧结到硬质合金支撑体上的cBN和/或PCD。这些尖端然后被铜焊到通常的硬质合金刀片上并被研磨到最终尺寸。尖端通常为三角形,但是更为复杂的形状也是已知的,例如WO2004/105983中所公开。但是,由于PCD或cBN材料的高硬度,需要将研磨操作限制到最小。另外,刀片的几何形状也使得砂轮很难接近尖端的一些表面。
发明内容
因此本发明的目的是提供一种制造用于金属切削目的的具有cBN或PCD刀刃的刀片的方法以及这种刀片,能够克服上述局限。

具体实施方式
根据本发明,提供一种通常为多边形形状的切削工具刀片,在其至少一个角部的凹槽内设置有PCD和/或cBN尖端。尖端通常为三角形。如图1所示凹槽具有底面和至少一个侧面。凹槽可以具有简单的形状,其带有一个平侧面,但是也可以具有更加复杂的形状,例如设置有机械联锁。凹槽的底面设置有凸脊D,其接触PCD或cBN尖端的底部,凸脊的高度h=50-100μm,凸脊宽度w=100-200μm,并且凸脊的间距l=0.75-1.25mm。尽管没有示出,但是接触凸脊D顶部的尖端的底部如接触侧面F的尖端的侧部一样基本上为平面。
根据本发明的方法,提供了一种硬质合金刀片,在其至少一个角部具有凹槽,凹槽具有至少一个侧面F和底面E。凹槽的底面E设置有凸脊D,凸脊的高度h=50-100μm,宽度w=100-200μm,并且凸脊的间距l=0.75-1.25mm。如果凹槽具有简单形状,那么可以在烧结之前或之后利用砂轮制作出合适的轮廓。更加复杂的形状可以在压制操作中制作出来。由于强度的原因以及在研磨时使砂轮具有一些活动余地,凹槽总是具有角部半径。具有合适形状的cBN或PCD尖端放置在凹槽内,与凸脊接触,并通过现有的铜焊方法铜焊到凹槽内。最后,利用研磨清理刀片以除去过量的铜焊料。由于尖端的底部基本上为平面的,因此当将尖端放置在凹槽内与凸脊接触时,在尖端的底面和凹槽的底面E之间会有间隙。在铜焊期间,这些间隙将会被铜焊料充分填充。
在图3的实施例中,除了凹槽底面E上的凸脊之外,侧面F也设置有凸脊。侧面F上的凸脊具有与底面上的凸脊相同的高度h、宽度w、和间距l。
参照cBN或PCD体描述了本发明,但是显然本发明通常可以应用于陶瓷体。而且,尽管表示出凸脊D平行于侧面F,但是对于本领域技术人员来说也可以将凸脊按照任何方向设置在底面E或侧面F任一个上或者这二者上。凸脊D可以覆盖底面E或侧面F的整个表面,或者小于整个表面。优选地所述表面的大部分设置有凸脊。
实例
根据本发明制造出CCMW09T304型cBN尖端硬质合金刀片。硬质合金的成分为大约10%重量百分比的Co以及余量的WC。cBN尖端为三角形形状,并且具有大约4mm的底边宽度和高度。用于尖端的凹槽,包括凸脊和角部退刀半径,都同时被研磨。这通过使用金刚石作为研磨介质由专门设计的电镀砂轮来实现。根据本发明制作有多个凹槽,这样在底面上形成具有三个高0.75μm、宽100μm和间隔1mm的凸脊的凹槽或凹部,见图2。作为对照,根据现有技术制造出另一组。在成功地将所有刀片铜焊好之后,测量部件以评估尖端的平直度和或平行度。在三角形尖端的所有三个角部测量刀片的高度。下表中示出以μm为单位的结果。

8.如权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,在烧结之前通过研磨制成凸脊。
9.如权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,在压制操作中制成凸脊。
10.如权利要求6到9中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于,陶瓷尖端具有PCD和/或cBN。
11.如权利要求6到10中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于,侧面也设置有凸脊。
