发明背景
本领域已知的各种各样的流体吸收结构可吸收体液,如血液、尿液、月经等,并且使用时即卫生又舒适。这种类型的一次性产品通常包括流体可渗透的顶片材料、流体吸收芯和流体不可渗透的底片材料。为使此类制品的使用更加舒适方便,已对它们的各种形状、大小和厚度进行了研究。
已对吸收产品内的气味控制进行了多年研究。许多体液具有令人不悦的气味,或者当与空气和/或细菌长期接触时产生这种气味。消费者典型地使用恶臭来确定需要更换尿布、月经用品等。恶臭也是如厕训练方法的完整组成成分。
一个可供选择的方法是通过使用“气味信号”,该方法依赖身体恶臭作为表明需要更换的一个因素。“气味信号”是积极的香料气味,其向消费者发出信号,即使没必要除去吸收制品,但也有必要至少检查一下。典型地,当被体液如汗液、尿液、月经等接触时,该气味信号被释放。
适于掺入吸收产品内以产生气味信号的一种材料是淀粉胶囊包封调和物或淀粉胶囊包封调和物。淀粉胶囊包封调和物是包含水溶性细胞基质的固体颗粒,该细胞基质包含稳定保持在细胞内的香料。当淀粉胶囊包封调和物与水(例如水分、尿液等)接触时,该水溶性细胞基质至少部分溶解,从而使得香料释放,并因此产生气味信号。

发明概述
本发明的第一个方面提供物质组合物,该组合物包含:

(b)重均分子量约100克/摩尔至约10,000克/摩尔的聚乙二醇;和
(c)按所述组合物的重量计约0至约10%的水;

本发明的第二个方面提供递送组合物至底物上的方法,该方法包括:
(a)提供所述涂层组合物,该涂层组合物包含:

(ii)载体;

发明详述

本发明的方法包括将有效量的如本文所述的涂层组合物提供、递送并附着到同样是本文所述的底物上的步骤。
(a)
涂层组合物
本发明的涂层组合物具有两种基本组分,淀粉胶囊包封调和物或淀粉胶囊包封调和物,以及载体。这两种组分存在的重量比为载体对淀粉胶囊包封调和物等于或大于1∶1。在本发明的一个任选实施方案中,该涂层组合物包含按涂层组合物的重量计约0%至约10%,更优选约0%至约5%的水。在本发明的一个高度优选的实施方案中,涂层组合物基本不含有水和只包含痕量水。这种低水含量向淀粉胶囊包封调和物提供附加的稳定性和延长的寿命,同时还由于减少的产品损失而减少制造成本。
本发明的涂层组合物可包含任选成分,但不限于,如美化组分、颜料等。一些示例性的任选成分在本文描述。
期望将至少有效量的涂层组合物施用到制品上。有效量典型地是向消费者提供明显气味信号的那些量,从而表示将该涂层组合物附着到其上的底物已接触足够的含水流体(例如,月经、尿液等)或含水固体(例如,粪便)。在本发明的一个任选实施方案中,当底物是一次性吸收制品的一部分时,存在于底物上的涂层组合物的典型含量是每个底物约0.001g至约5g,优选约0.005g至约1g,更优选约0.01g至约0.5g。
(i)
淀粉胶囊包封调和物
本发明的涂层组合物包含淀粉胶囊包封调和物。淀粉胶囊包封调和物是包含水溶性细胞基质的固体颗粒,该细胞基质包含稳定保持在细胞内的香料。典型地,淀粉胶囊包封调和物包含:(i)按所述淀粉胶囊包封调和物的重量计,优选约20%至约60%,更优选约20%至约50%的香料;(ii)按所述淀粉胶囊包封调和物的重量计,优选至少20%,更优选约50%至约80%的主要是多糖和/或多羟基的化合物;和(iii)约O%至约5%的任选辅助成分,但不限于如润湿剂、加工助剂、流动剂等、以及它们的组合。
淀粉胶囊包封调和物包含主要是多糖和多羟基的化合物。多糖优选为无甜味的、胶态可溶解类型的较高多糖,例如天然树胶,如***树胶、淀粉衍生物、糊精化的和水解的淀粉等。多羟基化合物优选为醇、植物型的糖、内酯、单醚和乙缩醛。用于本发明的淀粉胶囊包封调和物可典型地通过形成适当比例的多糖和多羟基化合物的含水相来制备,如果必要或需要,该含水相可具有添加的乳化剂,该乳化剂用以乳化含水相中的香料并在物质为塑性或易流动时除去水分(例如,通过喷雾干燥乳液的小滴)。淀粉胶囊包封调和物和方法细节公开于例如1976年7月27日公布的Brennner等人的美国专利3,971,852中。
在本发明的一个任选实施方案中,期望只具有最少量的,更优选按所述淀粉胶囊包封调和物的重量计少于约1%的非胶囊包封表面香料。
在本发明另一个任选的优选实施方案中,淀粉胶囊包封调和物优选具有约0.5μm至约1000μm的粒度和约1μm至约300μm的平均粒度,更优选具有约1μm至约500μm的粒度和约1μm至约100μm的平均粒度,甚至更优选具有约1μm至约100μm的粒度和约10μm至约50μm的平均粒度。
淀粉胶囊包封调和物可商业获得,例如以IN-CAP得自Polak′s FrutalWorks,Inc.,Middletown,N.Y.;和以Optilok System胶囊包封香料得自Encapsulated Technology,Inc.,Nyack,N.Y.。其它合适的淀粉胶囊包封调和物可购自Haarmann & Reimer,Teterboro,NJ USA。
本发明的香料成分和组合物是常规的且本领域熟知的。任何香料组分的选择或香料的数量均基于功能和美学考虑。用于本发明的优选香料组分是高度挥发性和适度挥发性的香料成分,更优选为高度挥发性的、低沸点成分。
高度挥发性的、低沸点香料成分典型地具有约250℃或更低的沸点。这些高度挥发性的香料成分是短暂的,当它们被释放时会快速丧失。许多更适度挥发性的香料成分也会快速丧失。适度挥发性的香料成分是沸点为约250℃至约300℃的那些。如下文所述的许多香料成分,连同其气味特征以及它们的物理和化学性质(例如沸点和分子量)一起,示于1969年由作者Steffen Arctander出版的“Perfume and Flavor Chemicals(AromaChemicals)”中。
高度挥发性的、低沸点香料成分的实施例为:对丙烯基茴香醚、苯甲醛、乙酸苄酯、苄醇、甲酸苄酯、醋酸异龙脑酯、莰烯、顺式-柠檬醛(橙花醛)、香茅醛、香茅醇、乙酸香茅酯、对异丙基甲苯、癸醛、二氢芳樟醇、二氢月桂烯醇、二甲基苯基甲醇、桉叶油素、香叶醛、香叶醇、乙酸香叶酯、香叶腈、乙酸顺-3-己烯酯、羟基香茅醛、d-柠檬烯、里哪醇、里哪醇氧化物、乙酸里哪酯、丙酸里哪酯、氨茴酸甲酯、α-甲基紫罗兰酮、甲基壬基乙醛、乙酸甲基苯基原酯、左旋乙酸薄荷酯、薄荷酮、异薄荷酮、月桂烯、乙酸月桂酯、月桂烯醇、橙花醇、乙酸橙花酯、乙酸壬酯、苯乙醇、α-蒎烯、β-蒎烯、γ-萜品烯、α-萜品醇、β-萜品醇、乙酸萜品酯和醋酸对叔丁基环己酯。一些天然油也包含大百分比的高挥发性香料成分。例如,大熏衣草包含主要组分:里哪醇、乙酸里哪酯、香叶醇和香茅醇。柠檬油和橙萜烯均包含约95%的d-柠檬烯。
适度挥发性香料成分的实施例为:戊基肉桂醛、水杨酸异戊酯、β-石竹烯、雪松烯、肉桂醇、香豆素、乙酸二甲基苄基原酯、乙基香草醛、丁子香酚、异-丁子香酚、flor acetate、天芥菜精、水杨酸顺式-3-己烯酯、水杨酸己酯、铃兰醛(对-特丁基-α-甲基苯基丙醛)、γ-甲基紫罗兰酮、橙花叔醇、广霍香醇、苯己醇、β-芹子烯、乙酸三氯甲基苯原酯、柠檬酸三乙酯、香草醛和藜芦醛。雪松萜烯主要由α-雪松烯、β-雪松烯和其它C15H24倍半萜烯组成。
淀粉胶囊包封调和物的一个实施例是IN-CAP微囊样本,得自Polak′sFrutal Works,Inc.,具有约50%的香料负载量和约3微米至约100微米的粒度范围。香料的主要组分是高度挥发性组分,例如柠檬醛和d-柠檬烯。
典型地,淀粉胶囊包封调和物以有效量存在于涂层组合物中,即能有效提供淀粉胶囊包封调和物和载体的有效混合以及使该涂层组合物能够被递送并附着到底物上的量。按所述涂层组合物的重量计,存在于该涂层组合物中的淀粉胶囊包封调和物含量优选为约0.01%至约99%,更优选为约0.5%至约97%,更优选为约1.0%至约98%是优选的。
(ii)
载体
本发明的涂层组合物包含载体,该载体必须能够悬浮淀粉胶囊包封调和物同时与淀粉胶囊包封调和物有最小的或优选没有交互作用,该交互作用可导致香料被释放。按所述涂层组合物的重量计,存在于该涂层组合物中的载体含量优选为约0.01%至约99%,更优选为约0.5%至约97%,更优选为约1.0%至约98%。
载体可为液体,或者其可为在进行所述方法的温度下是液体的固体。
在一个任选实施方案中,载体是聚亚烷基二醇或其混合物,例如聚乙二醇,其具有优选约200至约20,000,更优选约200至约10,000,甚至更优选约200至约7,500,且最优选约400克/摩尔至约6,000克/摩尔的重均分子量。其它合适聚亚烷基二醇的非限制性实施例包括:聚丙二醇,优选具有约600克/摩尔至约4,000克/摩尔的重均分子量;聚(四甲撑二醇),优选具有约1,000克/摩尔至约10,000克/摩尔的分子量;混合的聚亚烷基二醇,例如具有约1,100克/摩尔的重均分子量和约0.15∶1 EO/PO比率的聚(环氧乙烷-环氧丙烷或EO/PO)二元醇、具有约3,440克/摩尔的重均分子量和约0.33∶1 EO/PO比率的聚(环氧乙烷-环氧丙烷或EO/PO)二元醇、具有约2,920克/摩尔的重均分子量和约0.8∶1 EO/PO比率的聚(环氧乙烷-环氧丙烷或EO/PO)二元醇、具有约13,333克/摩尔的重均分子量和约3∶1 EO/PO比率的聚(环氧乙烷-环氧丙烷或EO/PO)二元醇、具有约8,750克/摩尔的重均分子量和约5∶1 EO/PO比率的聚(环氧乙烷-环氧丙烷或EO/PO)二元醇;以及混合的聚亚烷基二醇嵌段共聚物,例如HO-[CH2CH2O]x-[CH2CH(CH3)O]y-[CH2CH2O]x-H和/或HO-[CH(CH3)CH2O]y-[CH2CH2O]x-[CH2CH(CH3)O]y-H,其中y的加和范围为约15至约70,且x的加和与y的加和比率为约1∶10至约11∶10,更优选为约1∶2至约1∶1。这些物质的市售实施例包括由BASFCorporation制造并分别以商品名Pluronic和Pluronic R表面活性剂出售的物质。

包含可能载体混合物的载体也在本发明的范围内。
不管使用哪种载体,该载体必须与淀粉胶囊包封调和物相容并且适于该载体附着到其上的底物的用途。例如,如果将底物合并到婴儿尿布的顶片中,载体对于在尿布中的使用必须是相容的。
比率
载体与淀粉胶囊包封调和物的重量比可等于或大于约1∶1,优选约1∶1至约10∶1,甚至更优选等于或大于约1∶1至约5∶1。已惊人地发现这个比率对确保淀粉胶囊包封调和物在载体中的均匀悬浮以及改善可加工性、涂层组合物至底物的递送及涂层组合物对底物的附着是关键的。
这种相对关联(即载体和淀粉胶囊包封调和物间的比率)使涂层组合物易于加工并向底物提供简单递送和良好附着性。载体和淀粉胶囊包封调和物之间的关联还使得有效递送最佳量的淀粉胶囊包封调和物到底物上,从而可节约原材料费用,并减少淀粉胶囊包封调和物在多道工序中的损失。本发明的涂层组合物还是高度可加工的,使得该涂层组合物中的淀粉胶囊包封调和物有效并简单递送到底物上。例如,由于涂层组合物易于加工,可准确定好淀粉胶囊包封调和物沉积在底物上的位置(例如涂层组合物的沉积可简单限于底物上的一个或多个区域,而不必完全涂敷整个底物)。这是一项额外的费用节约,因为淀粉胶囊包封调和物的靶向沉积意味着有可能减少淀粉胶囊包封调和物的必需量从而进一步减少费用。

任选成分
用于本发明的涂敷组合物可任选地包含一种或多种任选成分。这些成分的实施例包括,但不限于:美化组分、颜料、染色剂、着色剂、抗结块剂、消泡剂、防腐剂、染料、抗微生物剂(例如季铵-15、对羟基苯甲酸甲酯、对羟基苯甲酸乙酯、对羟基苯甲酸丙酯、DMDM乙内酰脲、SuttocideA、IPBC等)、抗氧化剂、荧光剂、粘合剂、热解法二氧化硅、生物添加剂、缓冲剂、增量剂、螯合剂、化学添加剂、溶剂(水除外)、化妆品杀虫剂、变性剂、湿润剂、遮光剂、pH调节剂、加工助剂、还原剂、多价螯合剂、粘合剂、增稠剂、水胶体、沸石等。
当存在任选成分时,按所述涂层组合物的重量计,每种任选成分典型用于组合物中的含量为约0.0001%至约99.9%,优选约0.001%至约99%,更优选约0.01%至约97%。
(b)
递送和附着
图1图示说明了本发明方法的一个实施方案,即用于将涂层组合物20递送到底物30上的方法10。如本文所述的涂层组合物20提供在存储罐40内,该组合物包含载体和淀粉胶囊包封调和物颗粒,载体是液体或在进行方法10的温度下为液体。可以将载体和淀粉胶囊包封调和物以适当比率混合在一起再递送到存储罐40中,或者可供选择地可将它们在存储罐40内混合。在未示出的一个可供选择的实施方案中,将载体和淀粉胶囊包封调和物存储在存储罐40的单独隔室内,并且当它们从存储罐40中分配出时混合在一起形成涂层组合物20。存储罐40可任选地包括加热器以维持涂层组合物20或其组分有一具体温度,即保持载体为液体,或者加热或预加热涂层组合物20。合适的存储罐包括,但不限于购自Nordson Corporation Dawsonville,Georgia USA的DX Melter,或购自ITWDynatec AMERICAS,Hendersonville,TN USA的Dynamelt S。

一旦涂层组合物20经过供给罐50并经过递送软管60,其到达位置控制涂敷器70。该位置控制涂敷器70也优选至少是隔热的,更优选是隔热且可温度控制的,从而使涂层组合物20保持在所需的加工温度下。位置控制涂敷器70将涂层组合物20供给到涂敷器80并继而递送涂层组合物20到底物30上。

合适的缝形模头涂敷机包括但不限于购自Nordson CorporationDawsonville,Georgia USA的EP11涂敷器或购自ITW DynatecAMERICAS,Hendersonville,TN USA的MR1300缝形模头涂敷机。合适的液滴涂敷机包括但不限于购自Nordson Corporation Dawsonville,GeorgiaUSA的H203涂敷器。
在本发明的一个任选实施方案中,涂敷器80是液滴喷嘴。该液滴喷嘴优选具有圆形或椭圆形的横截面形状。典型地,涂敷器80将包括至少一个,优选一个或两个喷嘴。液滴喷嘴横截面形状的大小将取决于许多因素,包括但不限于淀粉胶囊包封调和物颗粒的大小、喷口速度、所需的流速等。优选圆形或椭圆形液滴喷嘴典型具有的直径在大于约200μm,更优选约400μm至约1000μm的范围内。

在图1中,底物30被示出在纵向90内移动,然而,当将涂层组合物20递送到那里时,底物相对于涂敷器80可为静止的,即,底物30和涂敷器80均静止,或者两者以相同的速度移动。底物30相对于涂敷器80的速度将取决于许多因素,例如但不限于底物、涂层组合物、涂层组合物20的喷口速度、涂层组合物20在底物30上的冲击速度、涂敷器类型等、以及它们的组合。在一个可供选择的实施方案中,底物30以相对于涂敷器80每秒约0至约6米的速度移动。该实施方案图示说明于图1中,其中涂敷器80静止且辊110在纵向90移动底物30。

可连续地或间歇地将涂层组合物20递送至底物。在一个任选实施方案中,将涂层组合物20递送至底物30的频率为约0(即连续递送)至约50Hz,更优选约0至约20Hz,甚至更优选约0至约15Hz。

本发明的方法可在任何合适的温度下进行。进行所述方法的温度将取决于许多因素,例如但不限于所用载体、所用淀粉胶囊包封调和物、所用底物、所需的涂层组合物粘度、底物上所需的涂层组合物的量(例如,每平方米底物上涂层组合物的克数)、涂层组合物20的喷口速度、涂层组合物20在底物30上的冲击速度、涂敷器类型等、以及它们的组合。在本发明的一个任选实施方案中,所述方法在大于载体熔点的温度下进行。在本发明的另一个实施方案中,所述方法在环境温度下,典型为约15℃至约35℃下进行。在另一个可供选择的实施方案中,所述方法优选在约20℃至约110℃,更优选约30℃至约110℃,甚至更优选约55℃至约105℃的温度范围内进行。
底物
本发明的方法将有效量的本文所述涂层组合物递送并附着到底物上。在本发明的一个任选实施方案中,底物选自无纺材料、薄膜、纺织材料、以及它们的组合。底物也包括层压材料,其包括两层或多层材料。
无纺材料和纺织材料可包括天然制成的纤维(天然纤维)、人工制造的纤维(合成的或人造的)或它们的组合。天然纤维的实施例包括但不限于:诸如羊毛、蚕丝、皮毛和毛发之类的动物纤维;诸如纤维素、棉花、亚麻、亚麻布和***之类的植物纤维;以及某些天然存在的矿物纤维。合成纤维可衍生自天然纤维或非天然纤维。衍生自天然纤维的合成纤维的实施例包括但不限于人造丝和溶剂法纤维素短纤维,这两种纤维均衍生自纤维素、天然多糖纤维。非衍生自天然纤维的合成纤维可衍生自其它天然来源或衍生自矿物来源。衍生自天然来源的合成纤维实施例包括但不限于诸如淀粉之类的多糖。衍生自矿物来源的纤维实施例包括但不限于衍生自石油的诸如聚丙烯和聚乙烯纤维之类的聚烯烃纤维,以及诸如玻璃和石棉之类的硅酸盐纤维。当可能时,合成纤维通常由流体处理方法(例如挤出、拉出或旋转诸如树脂或溶液的流体)形成。合成纤维也可以通过固体处理尺寸减小方法(例如,机械切割较大物体诸如整料、薄膜或织物)形成。常用的合成纤维包括但不限于尼龙(聚酰胺)、丙烯酸(聚丙烯腈)、芳族聚酰胺、聚烯烃(聚乙烯和聚丙烯)、聚酯、丁二烯-苯乙烯嵌段共聚物、天然橡胶、胶乳和弹力纤维(聚氨酯)。
无纺材料为典型地由纤维制成的呈纤维网型式的一类织物。无纺织网描述于1999年Butler I、Batra SK等人所著的Association of the NonwovenFabrics Industry出版的Nonwovens Fabrics Handbook,和Vaughn EA所著的Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry出版的Nonwoven FabricSampler and Technology Reference中。
无纺织网可通过直接挤出法成形,在成形期间纤维和纤维网在约同一时间点成形;或者通过在明显随后的时间点可被铺进纤维网中的预成形纤维成形。直接挤出方法的实施例包括但不限于:典型地形成多层的纺粘法、熔喷法、溶液纺丝、静电纺纱、以及它们的组合。“铺网法”实施例包括湿法成网和干法成网。示例性干法成网方法包括但不限于典型地形成多层的气流成网、粗梳法以及它们的组合。以上方法的组合生产出一般称为混合物或复合物的无纺材料。组合的实施例包括但不限于典型地呈层状的纺粘-熔喷-纺粘(SMS)、纺粘-梳理(SC)、纺粘-气流(SA)、熔喷-气流(MA)、以及它们的组合。包括直接挤出在内的组合可在与直接挤出法大致同一时间点进行结合(例如,SA和MA的纺丝成型和共成型),或者在随后的时间点进行结合。在以上的实施例中,可通过每种方法产生一个或多个单层。例如,SMS可能意味着一个三层的“sms”网,一个五层的“ssmms”网,或者其任何合适的变化,其中小写字母表示单个层,大写字母表示类似的相邻各层的堆积。
在本发明的一个任选实施方案中,底物还包括包含液体吸收材料的层,液体吸收材料如一般用于一次性套穿衣服和其它吸收制品的那些,例如通常称作透气毡的粉碎的木浆。除了透气毡之外或取代透气毡,可存在于底物中的其它合适吸收材料的实施例还包括:绉纱纤维素填料;包括共成型的熔喷聚合物;化学硬化、改性或交联的纤维素纤维;包括薄纸包装材料和薄纸层压材料的薄纸;吸收泡沫;吸收海绵;超吸收聚合物;吸收胶凝材料;或任何等同的材料或材料组合。

Claims (10)
1.一种将涂层组合物递送到底物上的方法,特征在于所述方法包括:
a)提供所述涂层组合物,所述涂层组合物包含:
i)淀粉胶囊包封调和物,和
ii)载体;
其中所述载体与所述淀粉胶囊包封调和物的重量比等于或大于1∶1;和
b)将有效量的所述组合物递送并附着到所述底物上。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述方法在大于所述载体的熔点的温度下进行。
3.如前述任一项权利要求所述的方法,其中所述载体选自聚亚烷基二醇、烷氧基化非离子表面活性剂、矿物油、多元醇、石蜡、以及它们的组合。
4.如前述任一项权利要求所述的方法,其中所述载体是重均分子量为100克/摩尔至10,000克/摩尔,更优选200克/摩尔至7,500克/摩尔的聚乙二醇。
5.如前述任一项权利要求所述的方法,其中所述淀粉胶囊包封调和物具有0.5μm至1000μm的粒度和1μm至300μm的平均粒度;更优选具有1μm至500μm的粒度和1μm至100μm的平均粒度。
6.如前述任一项权利要求所述的方法,其中所述涂层组合物以每分钟1克至每分钟500克的速度递送到所述底物上。
7.如前述任一项权利要求所述的方法,其中所述方法的频率为0Hz至50Hz。
8.如前述任一项权利要求所述的方法,其中由递送体系将所述涂层组合物递送到所述底物上,所述递送体系选自液滴涂布机、缝形模头涂敷机、喷雾嘴、以及它们的组合,所述液滴涂布机优选具有大于200μm的直径,所述缝形模头涂敷机优选具有的缝隙宽度和长度各自独立地大于200μm。
9.一种依照前述任一项权利要求的方法制备的底物。
10.一次性吸收制品,所述一次性吸收制品包括如权利要求9所述的底物。
