技术领域
本发明涉及一种提供大电流的电源装置,具体地说,涉及一种用于驱动混合式汽车、电动汽车等汽车的电动机的电源。
背景技术
用作驱动使汽车行驶的电动机的电源的大电流、大功率电源装置通过将多个电池串联连接构成的电源组进一步串联连接米提高输出电压。这是为了增大驱动电动机的输出功率。用于此种用途的电源装置能够输出极大的电流。比如,混合式汽车在启动和加速时,因为要以电池的输出功率来加速汽车,所以能够流出100安培以上的极大的电流。并且,这种电源装置在短时间内急速充电时也能通过大电流。
所使用的能输出大电流的电源装置在电池温度上升时,必须进行强制冷却。特别是对多个电源模块纵横排列并置于固定外壳中的电源装置来说,将各个电源模块进行均匀冷却是非常重要的。因为如果电池冷却的温度不均匀,温度较高的电池的性能会降低。
比如,在特开平第10-270095号与特开平第11-329518号公告中记述了将多个电池组置于固定外壳、将各个电源模块更为均匀地冷却的结构。前一公告所记述的电源装置如图1的剖视图所示,固定外壳22的下部为空气流进口23,上部为空气排出口24,使空气由下部的流进口23向上部的排出口24流动,从而对置于内部的电源模块21进行冷却。固定外壳22的内部设置冷却调整叶片25,用于调整在电源模块21表面流动的空气流速。
这种结构的固定外壳22使在设置于上部的电源模块21表面流动的空气流速较在设置于下部的电源模块21表面流动的空气流速要快。这是因为如果使上部和下部的电源模块21表面的空气流速相同,由于通过下部电源模块21表面的空气温度低,下部的电源模块21较上部电源模块更能有效地冷却,上部和下部的电源模块21会产生温差。
为了使上部电源模块21表面的空气流速大于下部电源模块21,将冷却调整叶片25和电源模块21之间的空气流动间隙向上方渐次缩小;这是因方流动间隙缩小则空气流速就会加快。
这种结构的电源装置是以冷空气对下部的电源模块进行冷却,以较快的流速对上部的电源模块进行冷却,从而使上下的电源模块能在比较均匀的环境中得到冷却。但是,这种结构很难在均等的条件下对上下的电源模块进行冷却。这是因为用于冷却下部电源模块的温度低,而用于冷却上部电源模块的温度高。在以高温空气冷却的上部电源模块中,即使流过表面的空气流速加快,也难以达到和下部电源模块相同的冷却效果。因此,其缺陷在于,虽然配置在流入口附近的电源模块能够得到有效冷却,但是难以对配置于空气出口附近的电源模块进行有效冷却,所以在置于固定外壳的电源模块会出现温差。在排出口附近,很难进行有效冷却的电源模块存在着高温条件下容易老化的弊端。
而且,后一公告所记述的电源装置如图2的剖视图所示,将冷却用的空气自固定外壳27侧壁吹入。吹入固定外壳27侧壁的空气向空气出口附近供给冷空气,使固定外壳27内部温度相同。这种结构虽然能够减小固定外壳内部的温差,但是由于从侧壁吸入的空气,却降低了在固定外壳内流动的空气流速。虽然降低冷却空气的温度对有效冷却电源模块26来说很重要,但是提高在电源模块26表面流动的空气流速也很重要。即使降低空气温度,但是如果空气流速减小,则直接接触电源组表面部位的空气的温度就会升高。因为电源模块26是通过与其表面直接接触的空气进行冷却的,所以如果该部分的空气温度升高,则不能够进行有效冷却。
本发明是基于解决上述现有电源装置缺陷的目的而开发的。本发明的重要目的在于,提供一种通过对置于固定外壳中的多个电源模块整体进行均匀冷却,有效防止因湿差引起的电池性能降低的电源装置。
通过以下的文字说明并参考附图,本发明的上述及其它目的和特征将变得更加易于理解。

本发明的电源装置具有:多个电源模块1;其内部安置多列平行摆放的前述电源模块1,且以通过其内部的空气对电源模块1进行冷却的固定外壳2;和向前述固定外壳2强行供给或者吸引空气进行送风的风扇9。固定外壳2的两面相向,为具备第1面板2a和第2面板2b的箱形,沿第1面板2a和第2面板2b的表面,将多个电源模块1在同一平面上横向平行排列放置。而且,固定外壳2在横向排列放置的多列电源模块1之间设置隔板3,隔板3自第1面板2a延伸至第2面板2b,将其内部分成多列隔室4。在各列隔室4中放置1列电源模块1。而且,固定外壳2开设贯通第1面板2a、向多列隔室4的送风冷却通道分流流入空气的流入口,并且开设贯通第2面板2b、向外部排放经过多列隔室4的送风冷却通道17的空气的排出口14。电源装置通过风扇9自第1面板2a的流入口13向多列隔室4分流使空气流入,使空气通过送风冷却通道17对电源模块1进行冷却,将冷却的空气自第2面板2b的排出口14排出,对置于多列隔室4内的电源模块1进行冷却。
这种结构的电源装置具有通过对置于固定外壳中的多个电源模块整体进行均匀冷却,能够有效防止因温差引起的电池性能降低的优点。这是因为本发明的电源装置中,固定外壳两面相向,为具备第1面板2a和第2面板2b的箱形,其内部在同一平而横向平行排列放置多个电源模块1,同时以隔板将固定外壳内部划分为多列隔室,在各列隔室中放置1列电源模块,自第1面板的流入口向多列隔室分流流入的空气,自第2面板的排出口排出,从而对置于多列隔室中的电源模1进行冷却。在这种结构的电源装置中,由于在各列隔室中独立放置1列电源装置,所以各个电源模块不受其它电源组的影响,各自以通过送风冷却通道的冷却空气进行独立冷却。而且,由于通过各隔室的冷却空气仅对1列电源模块进行冷却,所以不是因其它电源模块变热的空气,而是能够以新鲜空气进行高效率的冷却。如此,能够在理想状态下进行冷却的电源装置可以对多个电源模块全体实施高效且均匀的冷却。
本发明的电源装置可以在其第1面板的表面设置空气流入通道。该电源装置可以使空气由流入通道通过流入口并流入隔室。并且,开口在第1面板的流入口的流入通道上游侧可以窄于下游侧。这种结构的电源装置可以向所有的隔室均匀提供冷却空气。而且,电源装置可以通过流入通道相向的姿态并列设置2层固定外壳。
而且,本发明的电源装置可以在第2面板的表面设置空气的排出通道。这种电源装置将通过各个隔室由排气口排出的空气汇集在排气通道进行排气。并且,开口在第2面板的排气口的排出通道上游侧可以宽于下游侧。这种结构的电源装置可以向各个隔室均匀供给冷却空气。而且,电源装置可以通过排出通道相向的姿态并列设置2层固定外壳。
而且,本发明的电源装置可以将流入口和排气口设置为沿电源模块纵向延伸的狭缝。
并且,本发明的电源装置的电源模块为圆筒形,同时把内置该电源模块的隔室内侧的横向截面做成八角以上的多角形,或者圆形或椭圆形。这种电源装置的电源模块表面和隔室内表面之间设置送风冷却通道,通过该送风冷却通道,使送往隔室的空气沿电源模块表面流动。
而且,本发明的电源装置,在电源模块周围可以设置一定的送风冷却通道间隔。
并且,本发明的电源装置,在第1面板和第2面板上可以设置固定电源模块的固定突起,该固定突起自隔室内表面突出且为一体形成。这种电源装置的固定突起前端和电源模块的表面连接,可以将电源模块固定在隔室内。
并且,本发明的电源装置的电源模块为圆柱状,可以在隔室的中心设置该电源模块。

具体实施方式
图3和图4所示电源装置具有多个电源模块31、41,内置该电源模块31、41的固定外壳32、42,租冷却固定外壳32、42中的电源模块31、41的冷却扇39、49。固定外壳32、42将电源模块31、41以各列平行排放的方式置于其内部,通过其内部通过的空气来冷却电源模块31、41。
电源模块31、41由多个二次电池或者静电容量较大的超大容量电池成直线状连接而成,电源组31、41,例如,将六节二次电池串联连接为直线状。使用超大容量电池的电源模块将多个超大容量电池并联或串联连接。但是,电源模块也可以由一节二次电池或超大容量电池构成。图5所示的电源模块31以皿状连接体37将圆筒形的二次电池36连接成直线状。电源模块31的两端连接由正极端子35A和负极端子35B构成的电极端子35。
图5和图6表示了由皿状连接体37将二次电池36连接成直线状的结构。在这种结构的电源模块31中,皿状连接体37的圆盘部37A和圆筒形的二次电池36的正极焊接在一起。皿状连接体37的圆盘部37A设置了与二次电池36的正极焊接的突起37A。焊接皿状连接体37的突起37A和正极焊接时,用焊接电极棒压在突起37A的上面。为防止皿状连接体37和二次电池36短路,在皿状连接体37和二次电池36之间置入环状的绝缘体38。
而且,在皿状连接体37中,将二次电池36***法兰部37B的内侧,把法兰部37B焊接在作为二次电池36负极的外包装壳36A上。法兰部37B和圆盘部37A一样,把其内部设置的突起37a焊接在外包装壳36A上。这时,对于法兰部37B来说,焊接电极棒压在其突起37a的外侧。
串联连接的二次电池未有图示,也可以不使用皿状连接体,将弯成U形的引线片的相向面相互焊接实现连接。这种电源模块在二次电池放电的方向实施大电流的脉冲通电,将弯曲为U形的引线片的相向的两面焊接。而且,电源模块可以在二次电池正负两极之间夹着金属片的状态下,在二次电池放电的方向进行大电流脉冲通电处理,将金属片焊接在二次电池的电极上。
而且,也可以不将金属片夹在二次电池之间,直接焊接二次电池正负两极。这种二次电池在作为正极端子的封口板上部表面设置圆锥状的突起,实施大电流脉冲通电,将其焊接在邻接该突起的二次电池的负极端子上。
在多个二次电池36相互串联连接而成的电源模块31中,二次电池36的正极一侧和正极端子35A连接,负极一侧和负极端子35B连接。
电源模块31中的二次电池36为镍氢电池。但是电源模块31中的二次电池36也可以使用镍镉电池和锂离子电池。
电源模块的各个二次电池的表面固定着温度传感器(未图示)。温度传感器是能够检测电池温度的元件。该温度传感器最好使用电阻随电池温度变化的PTC。固定在各个二次电池表面的温度传感器通过传感器引线串联连接成直线状,在电源模块表面纵向延伸固定。温度传感器和传感器引线连接着固定在二次电池的表面,或者,在以热收缩管包敷二次电池的表面的结构中也可以用热收缩管固定。但是,本发明的电源装置由于将1列电源模块31、41放置在隔室34、44中,所以不必在电源模块31、41和邻接物之间实施绝缘。因此,电源模块31、41不必用热收缩管包敷绝缘。
固定外壳32、42如图3和图4所示,两面相向,为具有第1面板32a、42a和第2面板32b、42b的箱形,在与第1面板32a、42a和第2面板32b、42平行的面内,将平行横向排列的多列电源模块31、41设置在同一平面上。
固定外壳32、42有上下盖壳,盖壳有将第1面板32a、42a形成一体的第1盖壳32Aa、42Aa和将第2面板32b、42b形成一体的第2盖壳32Ab、42Ab。盖壳整体由塑料成型,固定外壳32、42由这些盖壳组成。
而且,固定外壳32、42如图3和图4所示,在横向排列放置的电源模块31、41之间设有隔壁33、43。隔壁33、43和第1盖壳32Aa、42Aa及第2盖壳32Ab、42Ab形成一体,自第1面板32a、42a延伸到第2面板32b、42b,将第1面板32a、42a和第2面板32b、42b的内部分成多个隔室34、44。和第1盖壳32Aa、42Aa及第2盖壳32Ab、42Ab形成一体的隔壁33、43其周边密合,分成没有空气流通的隔室34、44。
各个隔室34、44中放置了电源模块31、41。图中固定外壳32、42的各个隔室34、44中放置了1列电源模块31、41。为了将电源模块41放置在隔室44中的固定位置,如图7所示,设置固定突起410并从隔室44内表面突出。固定突起410和塑胶制的第1面板32a及第2面板42b形成一体,以两边的固定突起410夹着电源模块41将其固定在一定位置。为了在电源模块41和隔室44内表面之间留出空气流通的空隙,以固定突起将电源模块41固定。图中的固定突起410为肋状突起,对着电源模块41横向延伸。而且,在图7中46表示二次电池。
固定外壳32、42使分流至各个隔室34、44的冷却空气通过。为了实现这个目的,图3和图4的固定外壳32、34开设贯通第1面板32a、42a、向各个隔室34、44分流使空气流入的流入口313、413,贯通第2面板32b、42b、向外部排放各个隔室34、44空气的排气口314、414。
该图的固定外壳32、42中,把相邻放置的电源模块31、41之间的峡谷形状为沟形,隔室34、44内侧的横截面形状为八角形。前述隔室34、44同横截面形状为方形的隔室相比较,其更接近使隔室34、44内表面吻合电源模块31、41表面的形状。隔室34、44在其内表面和电源模块31、41之间设置送风冷却电源模块31、41的送风冷却通道317、417,但是,内截面为八角形的隔室34、44和横截面为方形的隔室相比较,具有送风冷却通道317、417的间隔可均匀的优点。
而且,内置圆筒形电源模块的隔室如图8所示,内截面形状为圆形,即隔室84为圆柱状,并且隔室84内表面和电源模块81之间的送风冷却通道817可以为同一厚度。而且,在图8中,82、82Aa、82Ab、82a、82b、83、89、813、814、815和816分别表示固定外壳、第1盖壳、第2盖壳、第1面板、第2面板、隔壁、风扇、流入口、排气口、流入通道和排出通道。而且,隔室内截面形状为椭圆形,可以内置圆筒状的电源模块。
在图3和图4的固定外壳32、42中,在隔壁33、43和隔壁33、43之间的中间部位设置狭缝状的流入口313、413和排气口314、414,使其位于隔室34、44的中间位置。在固定外壳32、42的第1面板32a、42a上开设流入口313、413,在第2面板32b、42b上开设排气口314、414。狭缝状的流入口313、413和排气口314、414的开口沿着电源模块31、41的纵方向延伸。这种形状的固定外壳32、42具有能够使冷却空气沿着电源模块31、41表面快速流动,从而有效冷却的优点。
图3中的电源装置在第1面板32a的表面设置了空气流入通道315。流入通道315连接风扇39,由风扇39强行向流入通道315供给冷却空气。流入通道315的冷却空气分流到各个流入口313,流入各个隔室34。为了使冷却空气均匀通过所有的隔室34,在该图的装置中,流入通道315上游侧的流入口313较下游侧的流入口313狭窄。在流入通道315的上游一侧,由风扇39供给的冷却空气的压力大,所以,可以从狭窄的流入口313供给大量的空气。在流入通道315的下游一侧,由于冷却空气的压力小,所以,流入口313较宽些,从而增加供给隔室34的空气量。因此,这种结构的装置能够向所有的隔室34均匀供给冷却空气。
而且,图4所示的电源装置中,在第2面板42b的表面设置了空气排出通道416。空气排出通道416和风扇49连接,由风扇49强行抽出排出通道416的冷却空气并向外排气。排出通道416将各个隔室44排出的空气汇集在一起并向外排出。为了使冷却空气均匀通过各个隔室44,在图4的装置中,排出通道416上游侧的排出口414较下游排出口414大。在排出通道416的下游一侧,通过风扇49有效吸引了冷却空气,所以,能够从狭窄的排出口414排出大量的空气。因此,这种结构的装置可以使冷却空气均匀通过所有的隔室44。
而且,在图9和图10所示的电源装置中,通过流入通道915或者排出通道1016将2层固定外壳92、102相向姿态并列设置。在图9的电源装置中,如图3所示,设置一对固定外壳92,该固定外壳92第1面板92a的表面设有流入通道915,并使该流入通道915的两表面对置。在这种电源装置中,将自风扇99送进流入通道915冷却空气供给设置在两面的固定外壳92,从而对固定外壳92的各个隔室94内放置为1列配置的电源模块91实施冷却。并且,在图9中,92b、93、913和914分别表示第2面板、隔壁、流入口和排气口。
在图10的电源装置中,如图4所示,设置一对固定外壳102,该固定外壳102第2面板102b的表面设有排出通道1016,并使该排出通道1016的两表面对置。在这种电源装置中,以连接在排出通道1016上的风扇109,从两边的固定外壳102强行吸入冷却空气,从而对设置在两面的固定外壳102的各个隔室104内为1列放置的电源模块101实施冷却。而且,在图10中,102a、103、1013和1014分别表示第1面板、隔壁、流入口和排气口。
在图3和图4所示的电源装置中,隔室34、44内横截面形状为八角形,因为送风冷却通道317、417的宽度大致相同,所以,送入送风冷却通道317、417中的空气流速能够大致相同,而且,可以防止隔室34、44中的空气滞留。但是,在本发明的电源装置中,各个隔室放置1列电源模块,所以,如图9和图10所示,即使隔室94、104内横截面的形状为方形,也能够使电源模块91、101实施充分地冷却。
尽管以上是参考特定的优选实施例对本发明进行说明的,但是应该明白,本发明的中心思想并不仅限于这些具体实施例。相反,本发明的中心思想包含了各种变换、修改和替代,它们都包含在以下权利要求的精神和范围之内。

Claims (16)

1.一种电源装置,具有:
多个电源模块(1);
固定外壳(2),用于将前述电源模块(1)多列平行地设置于其内部,并利用通过其内部的空气对前述电源模块(1)进行冷却;以及
风扇(9),用于向前述固定外壳(2)强行供给空气或者吸引空气实施送风,
其中,固定外壳(2)的两面相向,为具备第1面板(2a)和第2面板(2b)的箱形,沿第1面板(2a)和第2面板(2b)的表面将多个电源模块(1)在同一平面上横向平行排列放置,
而且,固定外壳(2)在横向排列放置的多列电源模块(1)之间设置有隔板(3),隔板(3)自第1面板(2a)向第2面板(2b)延伸,将其内部分成多列隔室(4),在各个隔室(4)中放置1列电源模块(1),
而且,在固定外壳(2)上开设贯通第1面板(2a)、向多列隔室(4)的送风冷却通道(17)分流流入空气的流入口(13),并且开设贯通第2面板(2b)、向外部排放经过多列隔室(4)的送风冷却通道(17)的排气口(14),
利用风扇(9)自第1面板(2a)的流入口(13)向多列隔室(4)分流流入的空气,使空气通过送风冷却通道(17)对电源模块(1)进行冷却,将冷却的空气自第2面板(2b)的排气口(14)排出,对置于多列隔室(4)的电源模块(1)进行冷却。
2.权利要求1中记述的电源装置,其中,在第1面板(2a)表面设置空气流入通道(15)。
3.权利要求2中记述的电源装置,其中,在第1面板(2a)开设的流入口(13)的流入通道(15)上游一侧较下游一侧狭窄。
4.权利要求2中记述的电源装置,其中,2层固定外壳(2)通过流入通道(15)相向并列设置。
5.权利要求1中记述的电源装置,其中,在第2面板(2b)的表面设置空气排出通道(16)。
6.权利要求5中记述的电源装置,其中,在第2面板(2b)开设的排气口(14)的排出通道(16)的上游一侧较下游一侧宽。
7.权利要求5中记述的电源装置,其中,2层固定外壳(2)通过排出通道(16)相向并列设置。
8.权利要求1中记述的电源装置,其中,流入口(13)和排气口(14)为狭缝。
9.权利要求1中记述的电源装置,其中,电源模块(1)为圆筒形状,内置有该电源模块(1)的隔室内侧的横向截面为八角形以上的多角形,电源模块表面和隔室(4)内表面之间设置送风冷却通道(17),通过该送风冷却通道(17)使送往隔室(4)的空气沿电源模块(1)表面流动。
10.权利要求9中记述的电源装置,其中,送风冷却通道(17)的间隔在电源模块(1)周围恒定。
11.权利要求1中记述的电源装置,其中,电源模块(1)为圆筒形状,内置该电源模块(1)的隔室内侧的横截面为圆形或椭圆形,在电源模块表面和隔室(4)内表面之间设置送风冷却通道(17),通过该送风冷却通道(17)使送往隔室(4)的空气沿电源模块(1)表面流动。
12.权利要求11中记述的电源装置,其中,送风冷却通道(17)的间隔在电源模块(1)周围恒定。
13.权利要求1中记述的电源装置,其中,第1面板(2a)和第2面板(2b)设置固定电源模块(1)的固定突起(10),该固定突起(10)自隔室(4)内表面突出且为一体。这种固定突起(10)前端和电源模块(1)的表面连接,将电源模块(1)固定在隔室(4)内。
14.权利要求1中记述的电源装置,其中,电源模块(1)为圆柱形,并设置在隔室(4)的中心位置。
15.权利要求1中记述的电源装置,其中,电源模块(1)为连接为直线状的多个二次电池(6)。
16.权利要求1中记述的电源装置,其中,电源模块(1)为连接为直线状的多个超容量电池。
