在WO95/11124的公开文本中,公开了一种将管的端部焊接在一起的对焊机,其中待焊接的端部由一夹紧机构以同轴关系固定。该焊接机包括一测量周围温度的传感器,一计时器和一线性测量传感器。为监控连接操作和冷却操作,建议根据所测量的周围温度确定一预定的冷却周期。根据本发明的示教,在被焊接的部分冷却到这样的程度,即,焊缝有足够的强度,使得所述部分能从夹紧机构中移出,之前必须经过预定的时间周期。在前述的线性测量传感器一检测到管的端部彼此相对移动一定量时就启动用于计冷却周期的计时器。由于管的端部的相对移动,应当能确定管端部的相互穿过已经发生,从而能保证有效的焊接。即使周围温度是用于监测焊接部分强度的相对参数,在公开文本中没有进一步限定传感器是怎样放置在焊接机中以及放置在什么位置,以近可能准确地监测周围温度。

为实现上述和其它目的,本发明一方面提供一种对焊热塑性塑料制成的物品的装置,该装置包括将待焊接在一起的两件物品以同轴关系固定在位的夹紧机构。为加热待焊接在一起的两件物品的端部,还设置一加热装置。
一电子控制单元包括监测周围温度的温度传感器,其中温度传感器安装在对焊装置上,但与对焊装置热绝缘。

已知的焊接热塑性塑料管的装置通常在冷却阶段控制接触压力。然而已经认识到焊接区的强度是已经到达冷却阶段终点的实际标准。上述强度并非严格地取决于时间,而是取决于待焊接的材料温度。周围温度为40℃时,在给定的冷却阶段之后,材料的温度比相同条件之下,但周围温度为5℃时焊接操作时的温度高30℃。
在本发明的范围之内,建议用热传感器监测实际的周围温度。通过准确地监测周围温度,冷却阶段的长度就能被控制,从而能确保焊接区所需的材料强度。
然而如果热传感器放置在不理想的位置,就可能测得错误的周围温度。一方面传感器的放置与整个装置加热同等重要,另一方面,在热传感器由加热装置以不适当的方式加热时,就存在危险。最后热传感器通过连接导线加热时,能看到另一个危险。

图2示意性地示出一热传感器5a,其通过一中间元件6设置在焊接装置的壳体的底部,优选设置在远离实际加热元件的区域。中间元件6包括上金属板件7和下金属板件8,由一热绝缘元件9将上述两者相互连接起来。可以使用有封闭的微小单元的泡沫材料,优选是微孔橡胶作为热绝缘件9。
下金属板件8有一通道10,其中置有热传感器5a。为避免热传感器5a通过其连接线11而被加热,连接线11与下金属板件8热接触。优选在下金属板件8上机加工出沟槽,连接线可埋入该沟槽中。由于这种设计,热传感器5a的自身温度不会升高至周围温度之上,即使对焊机连续使用。
由电子控制单元4监测热传感器5a的正确操作。在热传感器5a有问题时,根据最坏的情况,即,较高的周围温度,计算冷却周期的长度。同时将热传感器的缺陷显示给使用者。
图3示出不同的冷却下降轨迹。周围温度40℃时。冷却阶段的长度近似为400秒;周围温度为23℃时,在近似290秒之后,达到所需的材料强度,周围温度为5℃时,在近似230秒之后完成冷却阶段。

Claims (11)

1.一种对焊由热塑性材料制成的物品的装置,包括将待焊接在一起的两件物品以同轴关系固定在位的夹紧机构;加热待焊接在一起的两件物品的加热装置,一电子控制单元和一监测周围温度的温度传感装置,其特征在于所述温度传感装置安装在所述对焊装置上,但与所述对焊装置热绝缘。
2.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于所述温度传感装置安装在所述对焊装置上远离所述加热装置的区域。
3.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于设有一中间元件以接纳所述温度传感装置,所述中间元件包括一热绝缘件和与其相连的第一金属板件,其中所述热绝缘装置的连接导线与所述金属板件热连接。
4.如权利要求3所述的装置,其特征在于所述金属板件包括容纳所述温度传感器的凹槽。
5.如权利要求3所述的装置,其特征在于所述热绝缘件包括有封闭的微小单元组成的泡沫材料,优选为多孔橡胶或泡沫橡胶。
6.如权利要求3所述的装置,其特征在于所述中间元件包括一第二金属板件,其与所述热绝缘件在所述第一金属板件的对侧相连,并且用于将所述中间元件固定在所述对焊装置上。
7.一种对焊由热塑性材料制成的物品的方法,该方法由这样一种装置完成,该装置包括将待焊接在一起的两件物品以同轴关系固定在位的夹紧机构;加热待焊接在一起的两件物品的加热装置,一电子控制单元和一监测周围温度的温度传感装置,其中所述温度传感装置安装在所述对焊装置上,但与所述对焊装置热绝缘,上述方法包括以下步骤:连续监测由所述热传感器得出的温度值,在考虑上述温度值的基础之上确定待焊接在一起的物品的冷却时间。
8.如权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于监测所述静态周围空气的温度。
9.如权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于通过接触加热或非接触加热来加热待焊接在一起的物品。
10.如权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于一旦出现问题由所述电子控制单元尽快控制所述温度传感装置,在出现问题的情况下,根据最坏的情况计算冷却时间。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中将温度传感器的问题展示给使用者。
