本发明涉及一种用于检测信号中的水印的方法和设备。
发明背景
音频和视频材料的水印添加是拷贝保护方案中的一个重要组成部分。水印是嵌入到内容中的一个额外信息。优选地,所嵌入的水印是觉察不到的、能够经受A/D和D/A转换的、经受压缩技术并且对于各种信号处理算法都是鲁棒的。
通常根据一个水印的各个抽样值修改信号中的抽样值而将该水印嵌入到信号中。“抽样值”是指该水印所嵌入的域中的信号值。抽样值可以是例如诸如音频信号的声音强度的时间变量、诸如图片的亮度值的空间变量或者表示恰当转换之后的信号的系数。
在国际专利申请WO-A-99/12347中公开了一种已知的、检测信号中的嵌入水印的方法。该方法包括步骤:将可疑信号与要检测的水印相关以及检测相关量是否超过一个预定的阈值。
上述已知的检测方法对于检测“加法嵌入”的水印是最佳的。“加法嵌入”指其中根据下式将水印添加到原始信号中的***:

其中Q是添加了水印的信号,P是原始信号,W是水印,而s表示嵌入的强度。相同的检测方法还用于其中嵌入强度局部适合于信号内容的嵌入***:

发明目的和内容
本发明的一个目的是提供用于检测使用感知掩模嵌入的水印,更具体地是用于检测乘法嵌入水印的一种改进的方法和设备。
为此,本发明提供了如独立权利要求中所述的用于检测信号中水印的方法和设备。本发明人已发现通过在将信号与水印相关之前首先对信号值平方可以更可靠地检测到乘法嵌入水印的出现。更一般地,应当通过将可疑信号自乘至不等于1的β次幂来检测使用感知掩模嵌入的水印的出现。
从属权利要求中定义了该方法和设备的有利实施例。

Claims (8)

1.一种检测信号中水印的方法,该方法包括步骤:

-将该自乘至β次幂的信号与该水印相关以获得一个相关值;以及
-检测所述相关值是否超过一个预定阈值。
2.如权利要求1所要求的方法,其中所述幂β是一个大于1的预定值。
3.如权利要求2所要求的方法,其中所述幂β是β=2。
4.如权利要求1所要求的方法,还包括步骤:分析(5)概率密度函数 f w ( p ) = α β ( p α ) β - 1 e - ( p α ) β 的参数β,并根据所述统计特性来选择幂β。
5.一种用于检测信号中水印的设备,该设备包括:
-用于将所述信号的抽样值自乘至不等于1的β次幂以获得一个自乘至β次幂的信号的装置(1);
-用于将该自乘至β次幂的信号与该水印相关以获得一个相关值的装置(2,3);以及
-用于检测所述相关值是否超过一个预定阈值的装置(4)。
6.如权利要求5所要求的设备,其中所述幂β是一个大于1的预定值。
7.如权利要求5所要求的设备,其中所述幂β是β=2。
