Description

Method and system for improving repeater coverage capability
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of wireless coverage of mobile communication base stations, in particular to a method and a system for improving the coverage capacity of a repeater.
Background
The repeater network system can couple (wired or wireless) wireless communication network signals, so that the problem of the existence of moving signals in a target area is solved rapidly, the construction cost is low, and the engineering implementation is simple and rapid.
However, in the current network engineering construction, the total output power of the base station varies according to the load level of the traffic, but the reference signal RSRP (Reference Signal Receiving Power, reference signal received power) is relatively fixed. When the repeater is directly coupled with the host base station signal, the attenuation from the host base station to the repeater donor antenna is different; the loss of the space in the space access can change along with the climate conditions, the seasons of trees and other environments. Therefore, the RSRP power received by the repeater from the host base station and the total base station power are not constant. The conventional fixed setting of the repeater downstream amplification gain has many limitations. When the gain setting is too high and the service load of the base station is increased, the power of the input repeater is increased to saturate the output power, thereby influencing the signal quality and influencing the user perception of the coverage area of the repeater. Meanwhile, the working energy efficiency ratio of the repeater equipment is also deteriorated, and invalid energy waste is increased. The gain setting of the repeater is too small, and the repeater cannot reach the designed output power when the host base station is in high load or full load, so that the coverage capacity of the repeater is affected.
Therefore, it is needed to propose a method and a system for improving the coverage capability of a repeater, which are capable of properly and dynamically setting the gain of the repeater according to the RSRP power actually received by the repeater and the actual traffic of the base station, so that the repeater can work in the maximum gain state, and the maximum coverage capability of the repeater can be exerted, so that the excessive compression of the coverage capability of the repeater by the conventional debugging method is avoided, and the users in the coverage area can be better served.
