Abstract

The invention provides a brake-by-wire system with redundant backup braking and a control method, which belong to the field of vehicle braking.

Description

Brake-by-wire system with redundant backup brake and control method
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of vehicle braking, in particular to a brake-by-wire system with redundant backup braking and a control method.
Background
The power assisting of the traditional automobile brake system is realized by utilizing vacuum generated by the operation of an engine or vacuum generated by the operation of an electronic vacuum pump in a vacuum booster. As shown in fig. 4, reference numeral 4 is the vacuum booster. When a driver presses a brake pedal 6 during braking, a brake master cylinder 3 is driven to pass through an electric control pressure regulating unit ABS/ESC2, and pressure is built up on a brake 1 to generate brake fluid pressure; in the process, a vacuum booster is needed to amplify the pedal force proportionally, so that a driver can realize braking force meeting the braking requirement of the whole vehicle under proper pedal feel.
With the development of new energy technology and braking technology of automobiles, an increasing demand is being generated for a braking system without vacuum assistance. Mainly in two aspects: firstly, the development of new energy automobiles, such as electric automobiles, does not need an external electronic vacuum pump to carry out a vacuum pumping power source-an engine for a vacuum booster on the whole automobile, and has the defects of obvious electric energy consumption and noise; secondly, active safety braking technology is developed, for example, a vehicle can identify expected danger after being matched with radar waves or visual sensors, and the vehicle is actively braked or emergently braked to avoid collision.
As a result, the art of the brake-by-wire system has been developed, and prior art publication 201910331828.8 shows a brake-by-wire system scheme composed of a driver input unit, a pedal simulator, a booster unit, a circuit control valve, a wheel end control valve group, and a controller ECU.
At present, vehicles gradually develop to the aspect of automatic driving, and when the prior art is above the automatic driving level L3 and L3, the technical scheme is required to additionally add redundant electric control braking, for example, wheel end EPB braking is adopted, or an electric control redundancy unit is required to be additionally added in the system. There is therefore a need for a brake-by-wire system with redundant backup braking. Prior art patent 202021482338.2 discloses a redundant design brake system with a master cylinder with reservoir assembly separated from the electronically controlled brake system; wherein the hydraulic unit of the electric control braking system is provided with two pressure generating devices; the electric control unit is provided with a double-control ECU; the wheel end electromagnetic valve in the hydraulic unit of the electric control braking system realizes backup redundancy under the control of the double-control ECU. The master cylinder module A is respectively connected with two wheels through two parallel isolation electromagnetic valves 7 and 8, the two isolation electromagnetic valves 7 and 8 are controlled by the ECU1 and the ECU2 together and are respectively connected with two cavities of the master cylinder, under the condition that the isolation electromagnetic valve 8 fails and the cavity of the master cylinder far away from the pedal cannot provide pressure, the four wheels cannot be braked through the master cylinder module, the brake device can ensure that the two wheels can be braked through the master cylinder module only on the premise that the two cavities of the master cylinder can provide pressure, and at least one of the isolation electromagnetic valves 7 and 8 cannot fail, so that the brake device is not high in effectiveness. The master cylinder module only needs to boost the pressure of two wheels to ensure the effectiveness of the system, and only one cavity is needed by the master cylinder module under the condition, and the pressure provided by one cavity is more convenient and effective, so that when the master cylinder module is only connected with the two wheels, how the two isolation electromagnetic valves can be better designed and the effectiveness of the system is ensured by the control of the ECU is very important.
