The invention belongs to the technical field of alumina, and mainly relates to a novel red mud sedimentation flocculant adding device, wherein a flanged pipe orifice is welded at an opening of a top cover of a sedimentation tank, a first straight pipe section with the same caliber as the pipe orifice is welded at the lower end of the pipe orifice, and the first straight pipe section is directly inserted below the liquid level of a supernatant layer and/or is welded with a feed pipe of the sedimentation tank; the inside of the pipe orifice is inserted with a flocculant straight pipe section, the bottom of the flocculant straight pipe section extends to the bottom of the first straight pipe section or slightly extends to the bottom of the first straight pipe section, and the flocculant straight pipe section is connected with a flocculant main pipe through a connecting pipe. The invention has the advantages that: 1. the flocculant straight pipe section inside the settling tank is not welded with the settling tank, so that the installation is convenient, and the disassembly is simple. 2. The flocculant adding pipeline is replaced without emptying the sedimentation tank, after the pipeline is alkaline washed, the connecting pipe is removed, the flocculant straight pipe section inserted into the sedimentation tank is extracted, and the flocculant adding pipeline is directly replaced, so that the maintenance time is greatly saved, the labor intensity of maintenance personnel is reduced, and the influence on the operation index of the sedimentation system is reduced.

Background
Flocculant is added into the settling tanks of the red mud settling separation washing workshop in alumina production, so that the settling speed of the red mud is increased, the solid content of the underflow is increased, a clear liquid layer with qualified clarity is obtained, and the treatment capacity of the settling tanks is improved.
The current conventional flocculant adding method is to weld a flanged pipe orifice at the top cover opening of the settling tank, and the pipe orifice is directly connected to a flocculant pipeline which is conveyed to the settling tank from the outside of the settling tank. The lower end of the pipe orifice is welded with a straight pipe section with the same specification, and the straight pipe section is directly inserted below the liquid level of the supernatant layer or welded with the feed pipe of the settling tank. The above-mentioned adding mode has the following technical problems: because flocculant needs to be added in multiple points, the addition amount of single-point flocculant is relatively small, and the diameter of a pipeline for adding flocculant is usually small. Meanwhile, because the characteristics of the flocculant are sticky even after dilution, sometimes because the diluted water quality is not pure enough, sometimes because the short-time flocculant is poor in dilution effect and the like, pipelines for adding the flocculant are often blocked, and the maintenance is required to be frequently detached, so that the sedimentation tank is required to be emptied first and then the pipelines are required to be maintained and added during maintenance in the addition mode, the maintenance time is long, and the operation of a sedimentation system is seriously influenced.

The invention provides a red mud sedimentation flocculant adding method for solving the technical problems that a flocculant pipeline is often blocked, the maintenance time is long, and the operation of a sedimentation system is seriously affected.
In order to achieve the purpose, the invention provides the red mud sedimentation flocculant adding device, a flanged pipe orifice is welded at an opening of a top cover of a sedimentation tank, a first straight pipe section with the same caliber as the pipe orifice is welded at the lower end of the pipe orifice, and the first straight pipe section is directly inserted below the liquid level of a supernatant layer and/or is welded with a feed pipe of the sedimentation tank; the inside of the pipe orifice is inserted with a flocculant straight pipe section, the bottom of the flocculant straight pipe section extends to the bottom of the first straight pipe section or slightly extends to the bottom of the first straight pipe section, and the flocculant straight pipe section is connected with a flocculant main pipe through a connecting pipe.
The diameter of the pipe orifice is slightly larger than that of the flocculant straight pipe section.
The flocculant straight pipe section is inserted into the first straight pipe section from the pipe orifice with the flange.
The non-standard flange is arranged above the flanged pipe orifice, the non-standard flange is fixedly connected with the flanged pipe orifice through bolts, the non-standard flange is provided with a flocculant straight pipe orifice and an alkaline washing pipe orifice, the flocculant straight pipe orifice penetrates through the flocculant straight pipe orifice, and the alkaline washing pipe orifice is connected with an alkaline washing pipeline of a sedimentation workshop.
The connecting pipe is a short joint or a hose.
And two ends of the connecting pipe are respectively connected with the flocculant straight pipe section and the flocculant main pipe through pipe joints or flanges.
The number of the flanged pipe orifices is at least three.
The invention has the advantages that:
1. the flocculant straight pipe section inside the settling tank is not welded with the settling tank, so that the installation is convenient, and the disassembly is simple.
2.
