For example, before the screen is installed, ultraviolet curing glue (UV glue) can be filled in the gap around the side key in advance and cured, after the screen is installed, and the gap filling glue is erased, the cured UV glue is peeled off; however, the method requires filling and then peeling off the UV glue, and the process is relatively complicated; and the UV adhesive has higher cost and can also cause the problem that the paint of the middle frame falls. In addition, the side keys are not installed, the installation holes are sealed through the protective films, after the screen is installed, the gap filling glue is erased, the protective films are removed, and the side keys are assembled; however, this method is relatively difficult in assembly of the side key, and the sealability around the side key is relatively poor.
The key point of the invention is that after the side key is installed, the protective film is firstly adhered to the side key and the side wall around the side key, the protective film is utilized to shield the gap around the side key, then the gap between the edge of the screen and the middle frame is filled with the gap filling glue, and the gap filling glue overflowing from the gap is erased, thereby preventing the gap filling glue from entering the side key from the gap around the side key. The method can effectively prevent the joint filling glue from entering the side key, and is economical, simple and easy to implement. In some embodiments, the protective film is a polyethylene terephthalate film (PET film), and the PET film has a thickness of 0.04-0.06 mm. When the thickness of the PET film is smaller, the PET film is softer, and cannot fall off easily even if the PET film is adhered to different surfaces, but the PET film is easy to be rubbed and broken by a rubbing machine; when the thickness of the PET film is large, the PET film is likely to fall off after being stuck. Specifically, when the thickness of the protective film is 0.05mm, the protective film has a good adhesion effect and is not easy to fall off. Alternatively, in some embodiments, the elongation at break of the PET film may be 30%, and the tensile strength may be 22N/cm; at the moment, the material has better elasticity and toughness, and is not easy to fall off when being stuck on the surfaces of the keycaps and the side keys.
In some embodiments, in order to increase the bonding strength of the protective film on the keys and the side walls, an adhesive layer is disposed on one side surface of the protective film close to the side keys. The adhesive layer may be any suitable polymer resin, for example, the adhesive layer may be at least one of epoxy resin, polyurethane, silicone resin, acrylic resin, and modified acrylic resin. In order to obtain better bonding effect and ensure that the adhesive layer of the protective film has no residue on the surfaces of the side keys and the side walls after being torn off, in some embodiments of the invention, the adhesive layer may be made of acrylic resin or acrylic resin modified resin.
In some embodiments, the side key further comprises a key cap, and the key cap is received in the mounting hole. The user needs to press the keycap to enable the stroke control sheet of the side key to be compressed inwards to a certain stroke to excite the circuit of the side key, so that the terminal equipment can recognize the key information. In this embodiment, the release film may be one of a polyethylene film, a polymethacrylic acid film, a polycarbonate film, a polypropylene film, or a polyurethane film. When the protective film is pasted, the positioning hole is aligned to the top of the keycap, and then the protective film is pasted on the surface of the keycap and the surface of the side wall around the keycap.
