Description

One-pack aqueous aerosol composition
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition containing pyrethrum extract.
Background
Conventionally, various proposals have been made on water-based insecticides for distribution and aqueous aerosols to solve the problem of flammability of the preparations, to take environmental problems into consideration, and to improve the feeling of use. However, in general, in the preparation of such a pesticide, an aqueous organic solvent such as alcohol is often used in order to obtain uniform emulsion stability in consideration of hydrophobicity of the pesticidal component. Further, these preparations tend to be inferior in insecticidal efficacy to oily aerosols containing no water, depending on the type of target pest. The reason for this is believed to be due to the penetration of the pesticidal ingredients from the skin surface of the pest.
In prior document 1, a useful aerosol composition is disclosed, which comprises: an aerosol solution containing (a) an insecticidal component, (b) a surfactant, (c) an aliphatic hydrocarbon having 8 to 16 carbon atoms, and (d) water; and (e) a propellant, wherein the mixing ratio of (c) an aliphatic hydrocarbon having 8 to 16 carbon atoms and (d) water is specified. In addition to these, most of conventional aqueous aerosols for controlling pests are water-in-oil or oil-in-water emulsion formulations. Therefore, the liquid phase portion is separated in the aerosol container to become a two-liquid type, and it is necessary to uniformly disperse the liquid phase portion by shaking the container before use.
As a one-pack type aqueous aerosol improved in this respect, for example, conventional documents 2 and 3 have been proposed. Dimethyl ether was used as a propellant, and in the latter, an organic solvent such as a lower alcohol was further required, and the evaluation of the performance as an aqueous aerosol was not satisfactory.
As a one-pack type aqueous aerosol improved in this respect, for example, in prior document 4, there is disclosed a one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition comprising: an aerosol solution containing (a) an insecticidal component, (b) a surfactant containing a sorbitan fatty acid ester and a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether, (c) an aliphatic hydrocarbon having 8 to 16 carbon atoms, and (d) water; and (e) LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) as a propellant, wherein the aerosol stock solution contains 5 to 20% by volume of (b) a surfactant, 40 to 78% by volume of (c) an aliphatic hydrocarbon having 8 to 16 carbon atoms, and 15 to 53% by volume of (d) water, based on the amount of the aerosol stock solution, and the mixing ratio of the sorbitan fatty acid ester to the polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether in the surfactant (b) is 1: 1-5: 1.
however, in recent years, consumers' natural desires have increased, and there is an increasing demand for insecticides containing natural ingredients as active ingredients. In the aqueous aerosol, a product containing natural components such as pyrethrum extract obtained from pyrethrum, which is a plant of the family Compositae, as active ingredients is also required. In general, since pyrethrum extract contains natural pyrethroids which are a mixture of 6 kinds of compounds, and also contains impurities derived from plants, it is required to blend a surfactant more suitable for formulation of a one-pack type aqueous aerosol.

Problems to be solved by the invention
The present invention provides a one-pack aqueous aerosol composition which is excellent in solubility of a pyrethrum extract in a one-pack (Japanese: one-pack) aqueous aerosol composition, excellent in stability of the one-pack aqueous aerosol composition, and excellent in insecticidal efficacy.
Means for solving the problems
In order to solve the above problems, the present inventors have made extensive studies, and as a result, have obtained the following findings: the object can be achieved by preparing a composition in which an aerosol raw solution containing a pyrethrum extract, a specific surfactant, an aliphatic hydrocarbon and water is further combined with a specific amount of a propellant.
That is, the invention according to claim 1 relates to a one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition containing: an aerosol solution containing (a) a pyrethrum extract, (b) a surfactant, (c) an aliphatic hydrocarbon having 8 to 16 carbon atoms, and (d) water; and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) as the (e) propellant,
the surfactant (b) contains (f) polyethylene glycol alkyl esters and (g) sorbitan fatty acid esters, and the weight ratio [ (f)/(g) ] of the surfactant (b) to the sorbitan fatty acid esters is 0.5-2.5,
the amount of the water (d) added is 15 to 53 mass% (w/v) based on the total amount of the aerosol raw liquid,
and the amount of the propellant (e) is 40 to 70 volume% (v/v) based on the total amount of the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition.
The pyrethrum extract used in the present invention comprises 6 natural pyrethrins including pyrethrin I, II, guaethrin I, II, and jasminum I, II, plant-derived impurities, and solvent. The pyrethrum extract with the concentration of natural pyrethrins of 10-80% is suitable for use, and the pyrethrum extract with the concentration of natural pyrethrins of 20-60% is more preferred. The amount of the pyrethrum extract is preferably about 0.01 to 5.0 mass% (w/v) based on the content of the natural pyrethrins in the aerosol solution, and if less than 0.01 mass% (w/v), the desired pesticidal effect cannot be obtained. On the other hand, if the content exceeds 5.0 mass% (w/v), the solubility of the pyrethrum extract in the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition may be problematic. From the viewpoint of solubility of the pyrethrum extract in the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition and insecticidal efficacy, a content of about 0.20 to 3.0 mass% (w/v) is more preferable. The production area and the composition ratio of each component of the pyrethrum extract are not limited.
The invention has the following features: a surfactant comprising (b) a polyethylene glycol alkyl ester and a sorbitan fatty acid ester is used, and the weight ratio [ (f)/(g) ] of the polyethylene glycol alkyl ester (f) to the sorbitan fatty acid ester (g) is set to 0.5-2.5. Examples of the polyethylene glycol alkyl esters include: polyethylene glycol laurate, polyethylene glycol oleate, polyethylene glycol stearate, polyethylene glycol monolaurate, polyethylene glycol monooleate, polyethylene glycol monostearate, and the like. On the other hand, examples of sorbitan fatty acid esters include: sorbitan monolaurate, sorbitan monooleate, sorbitan sesquioleate, sorbitan trioleate, sorbitan monostearate, and the like. If the blending weight ratio [ (f)/(g) ] of the polyethylene glycol alkyl esters and the sorbitan fatty acid esters is out of the range of 0.5. ltoreq. [ (f)/(g) ] or less than 2.5, the solubility of the pyrethrum extract in the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition is lowered, and the emulsion is not formed at the time of preparing the aerosol, or even if formed, the stability of the emulsion is deteriorated, which is not preferable. From the viewpoint of solubility of the pyrethrum extract in a one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition and stability of the emulsion, more preferably 1.0. ltoreq. [ (f)/(g) ] 2.0.
In the present invention, it is preferable to further blend polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ethers in the above blended surfactants from the viewpoint of solubility of pyrethrum extract in a one-pack aqueous aerosol composition and stability of emulsion. Examples of the polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether include, but are not limited to, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene cetyl ether, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene lauryl ether, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene stearyl ether, and polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene decyltetradecyl ether. Other types of surfactants, such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers, polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ethers, polyoxyethylene styrenated phenols, fatty acid esters of polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil, diglyceryl alkyl esters, and the like, may be added as long as the solubility of the pyrethrum extract in the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition and the stability of the emulsion are not impaired. In addition, a surfactant is preferably added to the aerosol stock solution of the present invention in an amount of 5 to 20 mass% (w/v) in total. When the amount is less than 5 mass% (w/v), a sufficient emulsion cannot be obtained, while when the amount exceeds 20 mass% (w/v), the use feeling such as a sticky feeling is affected, and the advantage of an aqueous aerosol cannot be obtained, which is not preferable.
In the present invention, the amount of the aliphatic hydrocarbon (c) having 8 to 16 carbon atoms added to the total amount of the aerosol collagen liquid is 40 to 78 volume% (v/v). When the content is less than 40% (v/v), the penetration into the skin of the insect pest is poor, and the pesticidal effect is low, while when the content exceeds 78% (v/v), the problem of flammability cannot be solved, which is not preferable. The aliphatic hydrocarbon includes normal paraffins and isoparaffins, and normal paraffins are preferable from the viewpoint of efficacy. Other types of organic solvents may be used as long as the characteristics of the present invention are not impaired.
In the present invention, the amount of water (d) contained in the aerosol solution is set to 15 to 53 mass% (w/v) in order to obtain desired action and effect. When the amount is less than 15 mass% (w/v), the problem of flammability of the aerosol liquid cannot be solved, and when the amount exceeds 53 mass% (w/v), it is difficult to improve the insecticidal effect.
LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) is used as the propellant (e), but DME (dimethyl ether), freon gas, hydrofluoroolefin, compressed gas (nitrogen gas, carbon dioxide gas, etc.) and the like may be mixed in the range that can produce an emulsion. The amount of the propellant to be added is preferably controlled to be in the range of 40 to 70 volume% (v/v) based on the total amount of the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition. If the amount is less than 40% (v/v), the sprayed particles become coarse, which causes a problem in insecticidal efficacy, while if the amount exceeds 70% (v/v), this is not preferable in terms of safety against fireworks. In addition, since the injection pressure may be lowered when the amount of the injection agent to be added is reduced or when a compressed gas is used, for example, LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) having a higher propane ratio of propane/butane is useful as a countermeasure against this.
In addition, other insecticidal components and repellent components can be added to the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition of the present invention within a range that does not affect the solubility of the pyrethrum extract or the stability of the emulsion. Examples of the pesticidal component include: pyrethroid insecticide components such as phenothrin, permethrin, cyphenothrin, cypermethrin, resmethrin, tetramethrin, allethrin, prallethrin, etofenprox, bifenthrin, empenthrin, metofluthrin, transfluthrin, proffluthrin, momfluorothrin (japanese: モンフルオロトリン); silicon-based insecticidal components such as silafluofen; neonicotinoid insecticidal components such as dinotefuran and acetamiprid; dichlorvos, fenitrothion, diazinon and other organophosphorus pesticide components. Further, as the repellent component, there can be mentioned: n, N-diethyl-m-toluamide, limonene, linalool, citronellal, menthol, menthyl acetate, menthone, hinokitiol, geraniol, terpineol, p-menthane-3, 8-diol, eucalyptol, longipinane-3, 4-diol, Excaritin {2- (2-hydroxyethyl) piperidine-1-carboxylic acid 1-methylpropyl ester }, IR-3535{3- [ acetyl (butyl) amino ] ethyl propionate }, peppermint oil, lemon oil, lavender oil, eucalyptus oil, and the like.
In addition to the insecticidal component, an acaricide, a fungicide for molds, bacteria, and the like, an antibacterial agent, a bactericide, an aromatic agent, a deodorant, a stabilizer, an antistatic agent, an antifoaming agent, an excipient, and the like may be appropriately blended in the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition of the present invention. Examples of acaricides include: 5-chloro-2-trifluoromethanesulfonamide methyl benzoate, phenyl salicylate, benzyl benzoate, dibutyl sebacate, 3-iodo-2-propynyl butylcarbamate, and the like. Examples of the antifungal agent, the antibacterial agent, and the bactericide include: hinokitiol, 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, 2- (4-thiazolyl) benzimidazole, 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, azinam, 3-methyl-4-isopropylphenol, o-phenylphenol and the like. Examples of the aromatic agent include: orange oil, lemon oil, lavender oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, citronella oil, lime oil, grapefruit oil, jasmine oil, juniper oil (japanese: oil), green tea essential oil, limonene, α -pinene, linalool, geraniol, phenylethanol, amyl cinnamaldehyde, cuminaldehyde, benzyl acetate and other fragrance components, and fragrance components called "green fragrance" to which geraniol and geranial are blended, and the like. As the deodorant, various deodorants can be suitably used, and examples thereof include: and substances derived from more than 1 natural plant selected from Ebenaceae, Gramineae, Theaceae (tea, etc.), Ginkgoaceae, Oleaceae (Forsythia, etc.), Moraceae (fig, etc.), Rutaceae, and Saxifragaceae (aceous cherry, etc.).
The invention according to claim 2 is configured such that, in the configuration according to claim 1, the weight ratio [ (h)/(b) ] of the (h) natural pyrethrins contained in the pyrethrum extract (a) to the (b) surfactant is 0.005. ltoreq. [ (h)/(b) ] or less than 0.34.
(a) The weight ratio [ (h)/(b) ] of the natural pyrethrins (h) contained in the pyrethrum extract to the surfactant (b) is preferably 0.005. ltoreq. [ (h)/(b) ] or less than 0.34, and if [ (h)/(b) ] < 0.005, the desired pesticidal effect cannot be obtained, and if 0.34 < [ (h)/(b) ], the solubility of the pyrethrum extract in the one-pack aqueous aerosol composition and the stability of the emulsion may be problematic. Among them, from the viewpoint of solubility of the pyrethrum extract in a one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition and insecticidal efficacy, more preferably 0.005 ≦ [ (h)/(b) ] 0.25.
The invention according to claim 3 is the one according to claim 1, wherein the surfactant (b) further contains a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether.
By compounding polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether, the solubility of pyrethrum extract in a one-pack aqueous aerosol composition and the stability of emulsion are improved.
Effects of the invention
The present invention provides a single-liquid aqueous aerosol composition which has excellent solubility of pyrethrum extract in a single-liquid aqueous aerosol composition, excellent stability of the single-liquid aqueous aerosol composition, and excellent insecticidal efficacy.
Detailed Description
According to any of the configurations of claims 1 to 3 of the present invention, since the aerosol raw liquid is nonflammable and a one-liquid type aqueous aerosol composition is prepared by blending a propellant, a container does not need to be shaken at the time of use, and the use is excellent. In addition, pyrethrum extract has excellent solubility in a one-pack aqueous aerosol composition. Further, a single-liquid aqueous aerosol composition which is excellent in stability and has excellent pesticidal efficacy against various pests is provided. In the production of an aerosol, generally, aerosol liquid is first charged into a pressure-resistant container in which a valve portion is filled, and then a propellant is pressurized and filled. The shape of the aerosol can be appropriately selected depending on the application, the purpose of use, the target pest, and the like, and various embodiments are possible.
Examples of pests effective as the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition of the present invention include: mosquitoes such as culex pipiens and aedes aegypti, chironomids, flies such as house flies, dipteran pests such as moths, gnats, horseflies, etc., creeping pests such as cockroaches, ants, millipedes, centipedes, termites, etc., and house dust mites such as powder mites, house dust mites, etc., and thus the utility is extremely high.
Examples
Next, the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition of the present invention will be described in more detail based on specific examples and test examples. The present invention is not limited to the following examples.
Example 1 100mL of an aerosol raw solution containing 1.80g of a pyrethrum extract (concentration of natural pyrethrins: 50%) (1.80 mass% (w/v) of the pyrethrum extract in an aerosolized liquid, and 0.90 mass% (w/v) of the natural pyrethrins), 4.8g of sorbitan monolaurate (4.8 mass% (w/v) of the aerosolized liquid), 5.6g of polyethylene glycol monooleate (5.6 mass% (w/v) of the aerosolized liquid), 2.4g of polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene decyltetradecyl ether (2.4 mass% (w/v) of the aerosolized liquid), n-alkane aliphatic saturated hydrocarbon having 11 to 14 carbon atoms (trade name: デオトミゾール), and 18g of water (18 mass% (w/v) of the aerosolized liquid) was charged into an aerosol container, and a valve portion was attached to the aerosol container, 150mL of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) (60% by volume (v/v) based on the total amount of the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition) was filled under pressure through the valve portion to obtain an aerosol comprising the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition of the present invention.
With respect to the aerosol stock solution used in the present invention, the ignition point of the test method based on the fire-fighting method was not measured, and the problem of flammability was greatly reduced. Further, the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition of the present invention is one-pack type, and therefore, it is not necessary to shake a container during use, and the use is excellent. Further, although an aerosol formulation containing water shows a lower pesticidal effect than an oily aerosol formulation containing no water, the efficacy of an aerosol formulation comprising the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition of the present invention is almost no inferior to that of an oily aerosol formulation comprising the same amount of pyrethrum extract.
Test example 1 various one-pack type aqueous aerosol compositions shown in table 1 were prepared according to example 1, and the following tests were carried out.
(1) Solubility of pyrethrum extract: the solubility of pyrethrum extract in various single-liquid aqueous aerosol compositions was visually confirmed. The results are indicated by ". DELTA.. times.X.
(one-shot, transparent; one-shot, translucent; x: non-one shot)

Test example 2 the one-pack type aqueous aerosol compositions of examples 1 and 2 and comparative example 5 in table 1 were prepared to obtain aqueous aerosol formulations. Further, 1.80g of a pyrethrum extract (concentration of natural pyrethrins: 50%) in the same amount as in example 1 (1.80 mass% (w/v) of the pyrethrum extract and 0.90 mass% (w/v) of natural pyrethrins in the aerosol solution) was dissolved in n-alkane aliphatic saturated hydrocarbon (trade name: デオトミゾール) having 11 to 14 carbon atoms to prepare 100mL of an aerosol stock solution. The aerosol raw liquid was charged into an aerosol container, a valve portion was attached to the container, and 150mL (60 volume% (v/v) relative to the total amount of the aerosol composition) of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) was filled under pressure through the valve portion to prepare an oil aerosol. Oil-based aerosol was prepared in the same manner as in example 2 and comparative example 5. The following tests were carried out using various aerosol formulations.
(1) Insecticidal efficacy test (glass laboratory method)
At 60cm cube (0.216 m)3) After houseflies (about 25 male and female adults in group 1) were put into the glass chamber of (1), the test aerosol was sprayed for 1 second, and the number of inverted worms with the passage of time was recorded. The KT50 value was determined, and the relative potency of the oil-based air-sol was 1.0, and the relative potency of the aqueous air-sol (examples 1 and 2 and comparative example 5) is shown in table 2. The relative insecticidal efficacy was calculated by the formula of (KT 50 value of oil aerosol)/(KT 50 value of aqueous aerosol).
[ Table 2]
Figure BDA0003245231460000111
As a result of test examples 1 and 2, the pyrethrum extract of the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition of the present invention was excellent in solubility. Further, the oil-based aerosol composition is a one-pack type, has excellent emulsion stability, and is also comparable in insecticidal efficacy to the control oil-based aerosol, and thus has practical applicability. Among them, examples 1 to 7, 9, 10 and 11 in which the mixing weight ratio [ (h)/(b) ] of the natural pyrethrins (h) contained in the pyrethrum extract to the surfactant (b) is 0.005 ≦ [ (h)/(b) ] or less 0.25 are particularly excellent in the solubility of the pyrethrum extract in the aerosol composition and the pesticidal efficacy. On the other hand, in the case where the surfactant is not a combination of (f) a polyethylene glycol alkyl ester and (g) a sorbitan fatty acid ester as in comparative examples 1 and 2, and in the case where the surfactant is a combination of both of them but the weight ratio [ (f)/(g) ] is out of the range of 0.5. ltoreq. [ (f)/(g) ] or less than 2.5 as in comparative examples 3 and 7, the pyrethrum extract has low solubility in the one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition and poor emulsion stability. In addition, in the case of using DME as a propellant (comparative example 4), a decrease in emulsion stability was caused. Further, the formulations (comparative examples 2 and 6) obtained by adding a pyrethrum extract to a surfactant considered suitable in Japanese unexamined patent publication No. 2003-40704 were not satisfactory in terms of the solubility of the pyrethrum extract in a one-pack type aqueous aerosol composition. This is because, in Japanese patent laid-open No. 2003-40704, a synthetic pyrethroid compound is used as an insecticidal component, whereas the natural pyrethrum extract used in the present application contains a large amount of plant-derived impurities, and when a surfactant is selected, it is difficult to apply the conventional technique, and a high degree of compatibility is required. In addition, in the formulation (comparative example 5) in which the amount of water in the aerosol liquid was increased, the insecticidal efficacy was greatly reduced.
Industrial applicability
The present invention is a one-pack aqueous aerosol composition having excellent solubility of a pyrethrum extract in a one-pack aqueous aerosol composition, excellent stability of the one-pack aqueous aerosol composition, and excellent insecticidal efficacy, and is suitable for use as an aqueous aerosol containing a pyrethrum extract.
