The main storage and transportation modes of natural gas comprise three types: compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG). CNG is compressed and stored in a container in a gaseous state, has the advantages of early development and mature technology, is most widely applied to the natural gas storage technology, but needs high-pressure storage, so the requirements on the toughness and the strength of storage tank materials are higher, the manufacturing cost of the storage tank is increased, and the energy consumption is also increased; LNG is formed by converting methane into liquid through multiple processes, and has the limitations that the cooling process is complex, the manufacturing cost is high, and the low-temperature state is not easy to maintain in a complex environment;
the ANG is prepared by loading a special adsorbent with a high specific surface area into a storage tank at normal temperature and low pressure, adsorbing and storing natural gas by virtue of a huge inner surface area and a rich microporous structure of the adsorbent, so that the storage density of the storage tank is close to that of CNG, and the ANG serving as an automobile fuel has the characteristics of low storage pressure, safe and reliable driving, convenience in maintenance and operation, high economic applicability and the like. Because of these advantages, ANG becomes the best way for storing natural gas for vehicles, and is engaged in technical research by a large number of researchers at home and abroad, and the development prospect thereof is generally seen.
The natural gas in the ANG storage facility needs to be adsorbed on the adsorbent and is susceptible to thermal effects during the adsorption and desorption processes. The adsorption process is an exothermic reaction, and the released heat raises the internal temperature of the storage tank so as to reduce the adsorption quantity; the desorption process is an endothermic reaction, the temperature of the storage tank is reduced, so that the desorption amount is reduced, and more natural gas can be released by supplying heat.

The vehicular adsorbed natural gas storage tank of claim 1, wherein: the porous charging and discharging pipe (2) is welded on a gas seal head (13) and a holding pipe plate (17) of the tank body (1), and the porous charging and discharging pipe (12) is inserted into the tank body (1) and is wrapped by the forming adsorbent (5).
