Abstract

The high-speed connector is widely applied to communication technology, is a common connector for large-scale communication equipment, ultrahigh-performance servers, supercomputers, industrial computers and high-end storage equipment, and is mainly used for connecting a single board and a back board, wherein a 90-degree vertical structure is formed between the single board and the back board to transmit high-speed differential signals or single-ended signals and transmit large current.
High-speed connectors are generally formed by stacking and arranging a plurality of signal modules, in the design of the high-speed connectors, with the increase of transmission rate, higher requirements are placed on the electrical performance of the connectors, especially electromagnetic crosstalk always plagues the design of the high-speed connectors, which requires good shielding grounding in product design, so that how to solve the problem of crosstalk in the high-speed connectors is a technical problem facing those skilled in the art.

and the shielding connecting piece is fixed on the other side surface of the upper side surface and the lower side surface of the insulator, a first contact part which is in contact conduction with each grounding terminal is arranged on the shielding connecting piece, and a second contact part which is in contact conduction with a shielding sheet on the adjacent signal module is also arranged on the shielding connecting piece.

One embodiment of the high-speed connector of the present invention is shown in fig. 1, 2 and 3, and includes a plurality of signal modules 10 stacked one on top of the other, and as shown in fig. 4, the signal modules 10 include an insulator 11, a pair of signal terminals 12, an intermediate ground terminal 13, a shield plate 14, a shield connector 15, and an end ground terminal 16.
Specifically, the signal terminal pairs 12 are fixed on the insulator 11, the signal terminal pairs 12 are arranged in four groups and spaced in the left-right direction, the signal terminal pairs 12 are used for transmitting signals, the front ends of the signal terminal pairs 12 are defined as contact ends for contacting and matching with the signal terminal pairs of another connector, and the front ends of the signal terminal pairs 12 extend out of the insulator 11.
The intermediate ground terminal 13 is located in the middle, the end ground terminals 16 are located at both ends, the intermediate ground terminal 13 and the end ground terminal 16 together constitute a ground terminal of the signal module, the intermediate ground terminal 13 and the end ground terminal 16 are both fixed on the insulator 11, and the front ends thereof both extend out of the insulator 11. The intermediate ground terminals 13 are three, three intermediate ground terminals 13 and two end ground terminals 16 are arranged at intervals in the left-right direction, and the width of the intermediate ground terminals 13 in the left-right direction is larger than that of the end ground terminals 16. The signal terminal pair 12 is located between two adjacent ground terminals, and the front end of each ground terminal is used for contact mating with the ground terminal of the other connector.
The shield plate 14 is fixed on the upper side of the insulator 11, and the front end of the shield plate 14 is provided with four U-shaped shield portions 141 respectively surrounding the outside of the signal terminal pairs 12, i.e., the U-shaped shield portions 141 extend out of the insulator 1, one-to-one corresponding to each group of the signal terminal pairs 12. The U-shaped opening of the U-shaped shield 141 is disposed downward for contact mating with the U-shaped shield of the other connector.
The shielding plate 14 is further provided with a contact structure for contacting and conducting with each ground terminal, the contact structure in this embodiment is a plurality of folded edges 142 integrally connected to the shielding plate 14 and extending toward the inside of the insulator 11, and the folded edges 142 penetrate through the insulator 11 and are fixed to the ground terminals in an inserting manner, so that the insulator is provided with a plurality of through holes (not shown in the figure), and the ground terminals are provided with fixing holes (not shown in the figure).
The shielding connecting member 15 is fixed on the lower side surface of the insulator 11, and is located forward, the shielding connecting member 15 is provided with a first contact portion for contacting and conducting with each ground terminal, and a second contact portion for contacting and conducting with a shielding plate on an adjacent signal module.
Specifically, as shown in fig. 4, the shield connector 15 includes a connector main body 155 extending left and right, the first contact portion is a contact piece integrally connected to the connector main body 155 and extending upward, the contact piece in this embodiment includes end contact pieces 154 at both ends and an intermediate contact piece 153 in the middle, the length of the intermediate contact piece 153 in the up-down direction is greater than that of the end contact piece 154, the end contact piece 154 directly contacts with the end ground terminal 16, the intermediate contact piece 153 contacts with the intermediate ground terminal 13 in an inserted manner, and the intermediate ground terminal 13 is provided with an insertion hole 131, as shown in fig. 5. The jack 131 is a rectangular hole, the hole wall of the jack 131 is convexly provided with two protrusions 132, the two protrusions 132 are respectively arranged on the opposite hole walls of the jack 131, and the two protrusions 132 are arranged in a staggered manner, so that the intermediate contact piece 153 is in interference fit with the jack 131, and the intermediate contact piece 153 is fixedly connected with the intermediate grounding terminal 13.
As shown in fig. 4, the shielding connecting member 15 further includes four fixing pieces 151 integrally connected to the connecting member main body 155, the four fixing pieces 151 are spaced from each other and extend rearward, the fixing pieces 151 are used for being fixedly connected to the insulator 11, so that the shielding connecting member 15 is fixed to the insulator 11, and specifically, the fixing can be performed by means of hot riveting. The second contact portion is a spring claw 152 having one end connected to the fixing piece 151 and the other end extending in a direction away from the insulator 11, and the spring claw 152 is provided with a bulge portion (not shown) formed by bending downward, and the bulge portion is used for contacting and conducting with the shielding piece 14 on the adjacent signal module, as shown in fig. 3.
In the high-speed connector, the shielding sheet 14 is in contact conduction with each grounding terminal through the folded edge 142, the shielding connecting piece 15 is also in contact conduction with each grounding terminal through the contact sheet, and meanwhile, the shielding connecting piece 15 is also in contact conduction with the shielding sheet on the adjacent signal module through the elastic claw 152, so that after a plurality of signal modules 10 are overlapped and arranged, the adjacent signal modules 10 are in contact through the elastic claw 152 on the shielding connecting piece 15, all grounding is connected into a whole, therefore, a complete net-shaped structure can be formed at the inserting end of the two connectors, the inserting end is effectively shielded, the electromagnetic crosstalk is improved, the electromagnetic crosstalk is reduced, and the high-frequency performance of the connectors is improved.
In other embodiments of the high-speed connector, the contact structure on the shielding plate may be a contact arm disposed at the front end of the shielding plate, instead of passing through the flange of the insulator to be inserted and fixed with the ground terminal, and the contact arm is directly contacted and conducted with the ground terminal, at this time, the shielding plate may be fixed on the insulator by means of hot riveting.
In other embodiments of the high-speed connector, the contact structure may not be a structure integrally provided on the shield plate, but may be another separately provided metal plate which passes through the insulator, and has one end connected to the shield plate and the other end connected to the ground terminal.
In other embodiments of the high-speed connector, the spring claw is not provided with a bulge part, and the spring claw is directly contacted and conducted with the shielding sheet on the adjacent signal module.

the shielding sheet is fixed on one of the upper side surface and the lower side surface of the insulator, the front end of the shielding sheet is provided with a U-shaped shielding part which surrounds the outside of the signal terminal, the U-shaped shielding part corresponds to each group of signal terminals one by one, and the U-shaped shielding part is used for being in contact fit with the U-shaped shielding part of the other connector;
the shielding connecting piece is fixed on the other side surface of the upper side surface and the lower side surface of the insulator, a first contact part which is in contact conduction with each grounding terminal is arranged on the shielding connecting piece, and a second contact part which is in contact conduction with a shielding sheet on an adjacent signal module is also arranged on the shielding connecting piece;
