Description

Method and device for reporting user equipment capability information and mobile terminal
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of 5G NR mobile communication, in particular to a method and a device for reporting user equipment capability information and a mobile terminal.
Background
The capability of the mobile terminal is divided into core network capability and access network capability, and when the UE core network capability is registered with the network, the UE can actively report all the core network capabilities supported by the UE to the core network; the UE access network capability also generally queries the UE capability information during registration, and the UE reports all supported access network capabilities to the base station.
Many functions can be normally executed only if the UE and the network support the functions simultaneously, and the functions cannot be normally executed only if the UE or the network supports the functions. The mobile terminal supports more and more network systems, such as various network systems of 3GPP GSM/EDGE/WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/LTE/EN-DC/5G NR, 3GPP2 CDMA2000/EVDO/HDR, VoWiFi/WLAN, etc., and the 5G NR will support more functions in the future, such as eMBB/URLLC/mtc, etc., so the mobile terminal will support more and more capabilities, but generally the mobile terminal will report all the capabilities supported by the mobile terminal to the network, which will result in larger and larger UE capability messages, and the following two situations will generally occur:
(1) if the network equipment is not upgraded, the network equipment does not support the processing of the UE capability message reported by the mobile, and the UE reporting capability message is too large, which may cause the network equipment to process the UE capability message abnormally.
(2) The network side does not usually support all functions, and if the mobile terminal supports but the network does not, the capabilities reported by the mobile terminal do not play any role, but the load of the network device is increased. For example, many operators 2G networks are prepared to quit, if some network environments of the operators do not support the 3/4/5G network, when the UE registers in the 3/4/5G network, the UE will still report 2/3/4/5G capability at the same time, and then the 2G capability reported by the UE is redundant to the network, which increases the load of the network; if the UE simultaneously supports three application scenario capabilities of 5G NR, but the network side does not support all the scenario capabilities, if the UE reports all the capabilities but the network does not support them, then this part of the capabilities is a redundant capability for the network side.
Thus, in view of the above, the prior art is subject to further improvement.

As shown in fig. 1, a specific process of the method for reporting the ue capability information may be as follows:
101. and sending a user equipment system message, wherein the user equipment system message is used for requesting the network side capability information of the cell.
For example, after the ue camps on a certain cell, it needs to acquire a cell system message, that is, the ue sends a ue system message to the cell, and the ue system message is used to request to acquire network side capability information of the cell.
The network side capability information of the cell comprises core network capability information and access network capability information.
102. Receiving a cell system message, wherein the cell system message comprises the network side capability information;
for example, after sending a ue system message requesting network side capability information, the ue receives a cell system message, where the cell system message includes the network side capability information of the cell.
The user equipment stores the received core network capability information and access network capability information in the user equipment.
103. And reporting intersection capacity information to a network side, wherein the intersection capacity information is the intersection of the user equipment capacity information and the network side capacity information.
For example, the ue reports the intersection capability information to the network side, that is, reports the intersection between the ue's own capability information and the network side capability information. The user equipment capability information comprises user equipment core network supporting capability information and user equipment access network supporting capability information.
When initiating a registration process to a core network, a user equipment needs to send user equipment capability information supporting the core network. In the embodiment of the invention, the user equipment only reports the intersection information of the capabilities of the core networks to the core network, and the intersection information of the capabilities of the core networks is the intersection of the capability information of the core networks supported by the user equipment and the capability information of the core networks.
When the network requests the user equipment to report the capability information of the user equipment supporting the access network, the base station sends query information to the user equipment, wherein the query information is used for querying the capability information of the user equipment supporting the access network. In the embodiment of the invention, after receiving the query information sent by the base station, the user equipment only reports the intersection information of the access network supporting capacity to the base station, and the intersection information of the access network supporting capacity is the intersection of the access network supporting capacity information and the access network capacity information of the user equipment.
If the network side capability information changes, namely the network side capability information is updated, the network informs the user equipment through the system information, and the user equipment reports the updated intersection capability information to the network side again after receiving the updated cell system information. The cell update system message includes updated network side capability information, the updated intersection capability information reported by the user equipment is first updated intersection capability information, and the first updated intersection capability information is an intersection of the user equipment capability information and the updated network side capability information. And the user equipment re-initiates a registration process to the core network, and reports intersection information of the user equipment supporting the core network capability information and the updated core network capability information to the core network. And the network inquires the access network capacity information of the user equipment again, and the user equipment reports intersection information of the access network capacity information supported by the user equipment and the updated access network capacity information to the base station.
If the capability information supported by the ue itself changes, that is, the ue capability information is updated (for example, the user manually closes some functions (such as VoLTE function)), the ue reports the updated intersection capability information to the network side again. At this time, the updated intersection capacity information reported by the user equipment is the second updated intersection capacity information, and the second updated intersection capacity information is the intersection of the updated user equipment capacity information and the network side capacity information. And the user equipment initiates a registration process to the core network again, and reports the updated intersection information of the user equipment supporting the core network capacity information and the core network capacity information to the core network.
