Detailed Description
In order to make the technical problems, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the following detailed description is given with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.
As shown in fig. 1, a connection processing method according to an embodiment of the present invention is applied to a first network device, and includes:
step 101, receiving a first message, where the first message is used to indicate that a radio link between a second network device and a user equipment fails to connect, and the first network device and the second network device provide dual connectivity for the user equipment;
step 102, sending a second message to the ue, where the second message is used to instruct the first network device and the ue to establish or reestablish a connection.
According to the above steps 101 and 102, the first network device applying the method of the embodiment of the present invention first receives the first message, and the first network device learns the radio link connection failure between the second network device and the user equipment through the first message, because the second network device and the first network device are network devices that provide dual connectivity for the user equipment, the first network device can send the second message to the user equipment to indicate that the connection between the first network device and the user equipment is established or reestablished, thereby ensuring the connection between the user equipment and the network and avoiding the occurrence of abnormal communication service.
For example, the first network device is a SN, the second network device is a MN, and a radio link between the MN and the UE fails. MN sends the first message to SN, SN receives the first message, then sends the second message to UE, and initiates the connection establishment or reestablishment between SN and UE through the second message.
In this embodiment, preferably, the cell signal of the first network device satisfies a preset connection condition, for example, the signal strength is greater than a first threshold, or the signal quality is greater than a second threshold, so as to improve the connection establishment or the connection reestablishment success, and provide a better service for the UE.
It should be noted that, after the radio link between the second network device and the UE fails, the UE performs link recovery, that is, the UE sends a reestablishment request message or a master cell group MCG failure indication message to the first network device, so optionally, before step 101, the method further includes:
receiving a third message sent by the user equipment, wherein the third message is a reestablishment request message or a master cell group MCG failure indication message;
and sending the third message to the second network equipment.
Here, the reestablishment request message may be transmitted through the radio resource control RRC, and the MCG failure indication message may be transmitted through the split radio bearer one split SRB1 or the radio bearer three SRB 3. After receiving the third message, the first network device sends the third message to the second network device, so as to perform link recovery. If the link recovery fails, the second network device or the UE may send a first message to the first network device, and the UE establishes or reestablishes a connection with the first network device.
Of course, in this embodiment, the second network device or the UE may also directly send the first message to the first network device without performing link recovery after finding that the radio link between the second network device and the UE fails, so as to ensure network connection of the UE.
Further, optionally, in this embodiment, before step 102, further including:
obtaining context information of the user equipment;
performing admission control of the user equipment according to the context information;
and sending a release message to the second network equipment, wherein the release message is used for indicating the second network equipment to release the context information of the user equipment.
Here, the first network device can perform admission control of the UE based on the context information by acquiring the context information of the UE, and prepare for connection establishment or re-establishment with the UE. And, in order to reduce the occupation of resources, the first network device also sends a release message to the second network device, instructing the second network device to release the context information of the UE. Wherein the release message may be sent before or after admission control of the UE.
The context information of the UE may be obtained by querying the second network device, or by obtaining the identification information of the UE, querying the UE inside the UE. Optionally, in this embodiment, to reduce signaling overhead, the first message includes context information of the user equipment.
In this way, after receiving the first message, the first network device can acquire the context information of the UE from the first message.
For example, the first network device only transparently transmits the third message to the second network device, the first network device cannot acquire the identification information of the UE, and the second network device may notify the identification information of the UE to the first network device by the first message when sending the first message.
Or, based on a situation that the first network device will receive the third message, optionally, the step of sending the third message to the second network device includes:
analyzing the third message to obtain the identification information of the user equipment;
forwarding the third message to the second network device.
Here, the first network device may parse the third message to obtain the identification information of the UE during the process of receiving and forwarding the third message, so as to internally query the context information of the UE.
Further, optionally, in this embodiment, after step 102, further including:
and receiving a connection establishment or reestablishment completion message fed back by the user equipment.
In this step, the first network device may receive a connection establishment or reestablishment completion message fed back by the UE, and learn about a connection establishment or reestablishment state in time, so as to complete subsequent processing, such as core network connection, based on the established or reestablished connection.
In the following, the application of the connection processing method according to the embodiment of the present invention is described with reference to different scenarios:
scenario one, providing a radio link connection failure RLF of a second network device (MN) with dual connectivity for a UE, and discovering that a cell signal of a first network device (SN) satisfies a preset connection condition by a cell selection, as shown in fig. 2, 1. the UE sends an RRC reestablishment request (a third message) to the SN, and the SN forwards the SN to the MN, and at this time, the SN only performs transparent transmission of the RRC reestablishment request; MN fast link recovery fails; 3, the MN informs the SN that the UE link recovery fails, and simultaneously informs the SN of the context information of the UE, namely the MN sends a first message; the SN performs admission control of connection establishment or reestablishment; 5, SN informs MN to release UE context information, namely SN sends release message; the SN sends RRC connection establishment information to the UE to establish a new connection or sends reestablishment information to reestablish a link, namely the SN sends a second information; and 7, the UE sends an RRC connection establishment completion or reestablishment completion message to the SN. Therefore, the subsequent MN, SN, gateway S-GW and mobile management entity MME will perform corresponding core network connection process.
In scenario two and scenario one, the radio link of the MN providing dual connectivity for the UE fails to connect, and the cell selects and finds that the cell signal of the SN meets the preset connection condition, but here, when the SN forwards an RRC reestablishment request (third message) to the MN, the SN can understand the RRC reestablishment request and possess context information required for connection establishment or reestablishment by the UE, and then step 3 only needs to notify the SN of the failure of the UE link recovery. The other steps are the same as scenario one.
Scenario three, same scenario one, the radio link connection of MN providing dual connectivity for UE fails, and the cell selects to find that the cell signal of SN meets the preset connection condition, as shown in fig. 3, 1.UE sends MCG failure indication message to SN through split SRB1, SN forwards the message to MN; MN link recovery fails; 3, the MN informs the SN that the UE link recovery fails, and simultaneously informs the SN of the context information of the UE, namely the MN sends a first message; the SN performs admission control of connection establishment or reestablishment; 5, SN informs MN to release UE context information, namely SN sends release message; the SN sends RRC connection establishment information to the UE to establish a new connection or sends reestablishment information to reestablish a link, namely the SN sends a second information; and 7, the UE sends an RRC connection establishment completion or reestablishment completion message to the SN. Therefore, the subsequent MN, SN, gateway S-GW and mobile management entity MME will perform corresponding core network connection process.
Scenario four and scenario three, where the radio link of the MN providing dual connectivity for the UE fails to connect, and the cell selects and finds that the cell signal of the SN meets the preset connection condition, at this time, as shown in fig. 4, in step 1, the UE sends an MCG failure indication message to the SN through the SRB3, and the SN forwards the message to the MN, and the other steps are the same as in scenario three.
In summary, in the method of the embodiment of the present invention, first, a first message is received, and a first network device learns, through the first message, that a radio link between a second network device and a user equipment is failed, because the second network device and the first network device are network devices providing dual connectivity for the user equipment, the first network device can send a second message to the user equipment to instruct the first network device and the user equipment to establish or reestablish connectivity, thereby ensuring connectivity between the user equipment and a network and avoiding occurrence of a communication service abnormality. Moreover, the process of establishing or reestablishing the RRC connection after the rapid link recovery fails is simplified and accelerated; the connection reestablishment to the SN by using the traditional random access process is avoided; unnecessary cell selection and reselection processes are also avoided when the SN signal quality is good; the energy consumption of the UE is saved and the connection process is accelerated.
As shown in fig. 5, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a connection processing method, applied to a second network device, including:
step 501, sending a first message to a first network device, where the first message is used to indicate that a radio link connection between the second network device and a user equipment fails, and the first network device and the second network device provide dual connectivity for the user equipment.
In this step, the first network device knows that the radio link connection between the second network device and the user equipment has failed through the first message by sending the first message to the first network device, and because the second network device and the first network device are network devices that provide dual connectivity for the user equipment, the first network device can send the second message to the user equipment to instruct the first network device and the user equipment to establish or reestablish connectivity, thereby ensuring the connection between the user equipment and the network and avoiding the occurrence of abnormal communication services.
For example, the first network device is a SN, the second network device is a MN, and a radio link between the MN and the UE fails. MN sends the first message to SN, SN receives the first message, then sends the second message to UE, and initiates the connection establishment or reestablishment between SN and UE through the second message.
Wherein, before the step of sending the first message to the first network device, the method further comprises:
and receiving a third message sent by the first network device, wherein the third message is a reestablishment request message or an MCG failure indication message sent by the user equipment to the first network device.
In combination with the previous embodiment of the connection processing method applied to the first network device, after the radio link between the second network device and the UE fails, the UE performs link recovery, sends a third message, that is, a reestablishment request message or an MCG failure indication message, to the first network device, and the first network device forwards the third message. Therefore, the second network device may receive the third message sent by the first network device. And if the link recovery fails, sending a first message to the first network equipment, and establishing or reestablishing connection between the UE and the first network equipment.
Wherein the first message comprises context information of the user equipment.
Here, it is considered that the first network device needs to perform admission control of the UE based on context information by acquiring the context information of the UE, and prepare for connection establishment or re-establishment with the UE. The SN is directly informed of the context information of the UE, at which point the SN does not need to understand the third message. If the SN understands the third message, the SN can obtain the identification information of the UE from the third message, and further obtain the context information.
In addition, after the step of sending the first message to the first network device, the method further includes:
receiving a release message sent by the first network device, where the release message is used to instruct the second network device to release the context information of the user equipment;
and releasing the context information of the user equipment according to the release message.
Here, by receiving the release message sent by the first network device, the context information of the UE can be released according to the release message, so as to reduce the resource occupation.
It should be noted that the method is implemented by being matched with a method applied to the first network device, and the implementation manner of the connection processing method embodiment applied to the first network device is applicable to the method, and can also achieve the same technical effect, and details are not described herein again.
As shown in fig. 6, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a connection processing method, applied to a user equipment, including:
step 601, receiving a second message sent by a first network device, where the second message is used to indicate that a connection is established or reestablished between the first network device and the user equipment, and the first network device and the second network device provide dual connectivity for the user equipment, and a radio link connection between the second network device and the user equipment fails.
In this step, since the second network device and the first network device are network devices that provide dual connectivity for the user equipment, when the wireless link connection between the second network device and the user equipment fails, the second message sent by the first network device is received, and the second message indicates the first network device and the user equipment to establish or reestablish a connection therebetween, thereby ensuring the connection between the user equipment and the network and avoiding the occurrence of abnormal communication services.
Before the step of receiving the second message sent by the first network device, the method further includes:
and sending a third message to the first network equipment, wherein the third message is a reestablishment request message or an MCG failure indication message.
In combination with the previous embodiment of the connection processing method applied to the first network device, after the radio link between the second network device and the UE fails, the UE performs link recovery, sends a third message, that is, a reestablishment request message or an MCG failure indication message, to the first network device, and the first network device forwards the third message to the second network device. And the second network equipment receives the third message sent by the first network equipment to carry out link recovery, if the link recovery fails, the first message is sent to the first network equipment, and connection establishment or reestablishment is carried out between the UE and the first network equipment.
In addition, after the step of receiving the second message sent by the first network device, the method further includes:
feeding back a connection establishment or reestablishment completion message to the first network device.
Here, after receiving the second message sent by the first network device, the UE informs the first network device of the completion of connection establishment or reestablishment by feeding back a connection establishment or reestablishment completion message to the first network device, so as to perform subsequent processing, such as core network connection, based on the completion of the established or reestablished connection.
It should be noted that the method is implemented in cooperation with a method applied to a first network device and a method applied to a second network device, and the implementation manner of the embodiment of the connection processing method applied to the first network device is applicable to the method and can achieve the same technical effect, which is not described herein again.
