Abstract

The present invention is characterized in that an electro-optical display unit for displaying a value of a speedometer of an automobile is provided at an appropriate position on an outer surface of an automobile body or a window of the automobile, that is, a position which can be visually confirmed together with a license plate of the automobile.

Description

Automobile
Technical Field
The invention relates to a driving speed display of a motor vehicle.
Background
Conventionally, it is known that a large truck is provided with a plurality of lamps as a speed display device, and there is a standard determined by the announcement of item 2 in item 3 of article 48 of the japanese security standard with respect to the color, brightness, accuracy, and the like of the lamps.
As a related art, a speed display device is known which can quickly compare a limit speed and a travel speed by visual observation using a speedometer, and can quickly recognize an overspeed (see patent document 1).

Disclosure of Invention
Problems to be solved by the invention
However, the speed display device provided with a plurality of lamps cannot display the actual speed with high accuracy, and it is difficult to determine whether or not a speed violation has occurred in the vicinity of the legal speed limit based on the display. In addition, it is difficult for the ordinary person to understand what the plurality of lamps are displayed.
However, speed violation accidents are occurring continuously, and in order to prevent these speed violations, it is necessary to implement a method of detecting a speed violation by installing an electronic police on the road or by measuring the speed violation by the police at the side of the road. Therefore, the end result is that daily travel based on safe driving of the automobile depends on the moral of each driver, but no technical means has been taken with respect to the creative idea for improving his moral.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide an automobile that can more easily determine whether a speed violation has occurred.
Means for solving the problems
In order to solve the above problems, an embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that an electro-optical display unit for displaying a value of a speedometer of the automobile is provided at an appropriate position of an outer surface of a body or a window of the automobile, that is, a position where the electro-optical display unit can be visually confirmed together with a license plate of the automobile.
ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION
The present invention can provide an automobile that can more easily determine whether a speed violation has occurred.
Drawings
Fig. 1 is a front view showing a vehicle front surface of an automobile body viewed from the front.
Fig. 2 is a rear view showing a vehicle rear surface of the automobile body viewed from the rear.
Fig. 3 is a front view showing details of the electro-optical display panel.
Detailed Description
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings, taking a general passenger car as an example.
In the automobile body shown in fig. 1, a front window 1 is provided on the front surface of a driver's seat, and an engine cover portion 2 for housing and protecting an engine and the like is provided so as to extend from a lower portion 1a of the front window to the front of the automobile. Side mirrors 3 are provided near the front portions of the side portions of the vehicle body on both sides of the front window 1.
The lower portion of the front end of the hood 2 forms the front surface of the automobile body, headlights 4 are provided near both ends of the front surface, an engine grill 5 is provided near the center of the front surface of the automobile body, and a front bumper 6 is provided below the front surface of the automobile body.
A vehicle license plate 7 is provided so as to extend over a part of the bumper plate 6 and a part of the engine grill 5. In this embodiment, an electro-optical display panel 8 is provided on the left side portion of the vehicle license plate 7.
As shown in fig. 3, for example, the electro-optical display panel 8 is provided with a plurality of segment LEDs 9, for example, to display 3-digit numbers. The 3-bit segment LED9 of the electro-optical display panel 8 can display the traveling speed of the automobile, and a not-shown speedometer of the automobile acquires and transmits a signal indicating the vehicle speed displayed by the speedometer, and digitally displays the vehicle speed as the same value as the value displayed by the speedometer.
The signal indicating the vehicle speed may be extracted from a detector for detecting the number of revolutions, not shown, of the tire 10 and converted into a digital signal, or may be extracted as an input signal to a speedometer.
The signal may be transmitted to the electro-optical display panel 8 by using a wire, short-range wireless communication, or the like. In addition, a digital signal having excellent noise characteristics is used for signal transmission.
Fig. 2 is a rear view of the rear surface of the vehicle body of the automobile shown in fig. 1 as viewed from behind. An engine cover 12 is provided at a lower portion of a rear window 11, taillights 13 are provided at both ends of the engine cover 12, a vehicle license plate 17 is provided on a rear bumper 14, and an electro-optical display panel 18 is provided on a side portion of the vehicle license plate 17.
The electro-optical display panel 18 is identical to the electro-optical display panel 8 provided in the front of the automobile. In this embodiment, a case will be described in which the electro-optical display panel 8 is provided on the front surface of the automobile and the electro-optical display panel 18 is provided on the rear surface of the automobile. The electro-optical display panel may be provided only on one of the substrates.
In this embodiment, the electro- optical display panels 8 and 18 are provided on the vehicle body, but the electro- optical display panels 8 and 18 may be provided in the vehicle so as to be visible from the outside through the front window 1 or the rear window 11.
In short, the present invention may be provided at any position of the vehicle as long as the position allows the electro-optical display panel 8 and the electro-optical display panel 18 to be imaged together with the vehicle license plate 7 and the vehicle display plate 17 on the image-captured screen in order to improve the courtesy of the driver of the vehicle.
The electro- optical display panels 8 and 18 may be attached by being bonded to a vehicle body or the like, or may be assembled to the vehicle body.
The conventional speed display device having a plurality of lamps has a disadvantage that the accurate speed cannot be measured, but the speed of the vehicle is directly displayed by the electro- optical display panels 8 and 18 of the present embodiment, so that a third person can know the accurate speed of the vehicle. Further, by arranging the electro-optical display panel 8 adjacent to the vehicle license plate 7, the possibility that the vehicle license plate 7 is simultaneously imaged is high when the electro-optical display panel 8 is imaged, and by arranging the electro-optical display panel 18 adjacent to the vehicle license plate 17, the possibility that the vehicle license plate 17 is simultaneously imaged is high when the electro-optical display panel 18 is imaged, whereby anyone can easily check the speed violation by the driver of the vehicle having the electro- optical display panels 8 and 18. In the present embodiment, the travel speed is represented by numerical values as a form of displaying the speed, but the travel speed may be represented by a graph-like extension.
The present invention can be embodied in other various forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof. Therefore, the foregoing embodiments are illustrative in all respects and should not be construed as limiting. The scope of the invention is indicated by the scope of the claims, and is not limited in any way by the text of the specification. Further, all changes, various modifications, substitutions and alterations that fall within the scope of equivalents of the claims are intended to be included within the scope of the present invention.
