发明内容

在现场更换玻璃层压体的主要原因是由于石材撞击。石材撞击会通过多种机制导致层压体断裂,包括钝性(赫兹)接触、急剧接触和弯曲。钝性(赫兹)接触会产生一个环/锥裂纹,所述裂纹/锥裂纹从表面1(形成层压体的外表面)上的现有缺陷开始并然后传播通过外层的厚度。尖锐接触会产生损坏,所述损坏通过外层的厚度传播并然后产生径向/中部裂纹。层压体的挠曲激活了表面#2(与夹层相邻的外层表面)和/或表面#4(内层的内表面)上的缺陷。已经发现装饰性玻璃/陶瓷搪瓷玻璃料会降低玻璃料粘附到其上的表面或玻璃层的强度。为了提高抗冲击性,希望解决由于装饰玻璃/陶瓷搪瓷玻璃料导致的低抗冲击性的失效模式,特别是当层压体被做得更薄时,弯曲变得更加关键,因为在撞击工艺中更大的挠曲将导致表面2和4上越高和越大的应力场。

在一个或多个实施例中,可以强化内部玻璃层。在一个或多个实施例中,可强化内部玻璃层以包括从表面延伸至压缩深度或压缩应力层(DOL)的深度的压缩应力。将表面处的压缩应力称为表面CS。CS区域由表现出拉伸应力的中心部分平衡。在DOL处,应力从压缩应力转变为拉伸应力。压缩应力和拉伸应力在本文中作为绝对值提供。
在一个或多个实施例中,以两个或多个步骤强化内部玻璃层以实现第一部分强度水平(即,被强化到在表面CS和DOL方面的为最终强度水平的一部分的程度)和最终强度水平。在一个或多个实施例中,用于强化内部玻璃层的强化工艺可以包括热强化工艺、化学强化工艺和机械强化工艺中的任何一种或组合。
在一个或多个实施例中,可以通过利用制品的各部分之间的热膨胀系数的不匹配来机械地强化内部玻璃层以产生压缩应力区域和表现出拉伸应力的中央区域。在一些实施例中,可通过将玻璃加热到高于玻璃化转变点的温度并然后快速淬火来热强化内部玻璃层。
在一个或多个实施例中,可以通过离子交换来化学强化内部玻璃层。在离子交换工艺中,内部玻璃层的表面处或附近的离子被具有相同化合价或氧化态的较大离子替换或交换。在其中内部玻璃层包括碱金属铝硅酸盐玻璃的实施方案中,制品的表层中的离子和较大的离子是一价碱金属阳离子,诸如Li+、Na+、K+、Rb+和Cs+。或者,表面层中的一价阳离子可以用碱金属阳离子以外的一价阳离子代替,诸如Ag+等。在此类实施例中,交换到内部玻璃层中的一价离子(或阳离子)产生应力。应当理解的是,任何含有碱金属氧化物的内部玻璃层可以通过离子交换工艺来化学强化。
离子交换工艺通常是通过将内部玻璃层浸入包含较大离子的熔融盐浴(或两个或多个熔融盐浴)中进行的,所述较大离子与内部玻璃层中的较小离子进行交换。应当注意,也可以使用盐水浴。另外,一个或多个浴的组成可以包括一种以上类型的较大离子(例如,Na+和K+)或单个较大离子。本领域技术人员将理解,离子交换工艺的参数包括但不限于:浴的组成和温度、浸入时间、内部玻璃层在一个或多个盐浴中的浸入次数、多个盐浴的使用、附加步骤(诸如退火、洗涤),并且通常由内玻璃层的组成(包括制品的结构和存在的任何结晶相)以及由强化产生的内玻璃层的期望DOL和CS确定。示例性熔池组成可以包括较大碱金属离子的硝酸盐、硫酸盐和氯化物。典型的硝酸盐包括KNO3、NaNO3、LiNO3、NaSO4及其组合。熔融盐浴的温度通常在约380℃至约450℃的范围内,浸入时间在从约15分钟到约100小时的范围内,具体取决于内部玻璃层厚度、浴温和玻璃(或单价离子)扩散率。然而,也可以使用与上述不同的温度和浸入时间。
在一个或多个实施例中,可将内部玻璃层浸入100%的NaNO3、100%的KNO3、或NaNO3和KNO3的组合的熔融盐浴中,所述熔融盐浴的温度约为370℃至480℃。在一些实施例中,可以将内部玻璃层浸入熔融混合盐浴中,所述浴包括约1%至约99%的KNO3和约1%至约99%的NaNO3。在一个或多个实施例中,在将内部玻璃层浸入第一浴之后,可将其浸入第二浴中。第一浴和第二浴可以具有彼此不同的组成和/或温度。在第一浴和第二浴中的浸入时间可以变化。例如,在第一浴中的浸入可以比在第二浴中的浸入更长。
在一个或多个实施例中,可将内部玻璃层浸入温度小于约420℃(例如,约400℃或约380℃)的包括NaNO3和KNO3(例如,49%/51%、50%/50%、51%/49%)持续少于约5小时、甚至约4小时或更短。
可以定制离子交换条件以提供“尖峰”或增加在所得内部玻璃层的表面处或附近的应力分布的斜率。尖峰会导致更大的表面CS值。由于本文所述的内部玻璃层中使用的玻璃组成的独特性质,因此可以通过单浴或多浴来实现所述峰值,其中浴具有单一组成或混合组成。
CS是使用本领域已知的那些方法测量的,诸如通过表面应力计(FSM),使用市售仪器,例如由Orihara Industrial Co.,Ltd.(Japan)制造的FSM-6000。表面应力测量依赖于与玻璃的双折射有关的应力光学系数(SOC)的精确测量。继而通过本领域已知的方法测量SOC,已知方法为:诸如光纤和四点弯曲方法,这两种方法均在标题为“Standard TestMethod for Measurement of Glass Stress-Optical Coefficient”的ASTM标准C770-98(2013年)中进行了描述,其内容通过引用整体并入本文作为参考;以及批量圆柱体法。如本文所用,CS可以是“最大压缩应力”,其是在压缩应力层内测量的最高压缩应力值。在一些实施例中,最大压缩应力位于内玻璃层的表面处。在其他实施例中,最大压缩应力可以出现在表面以下的深度处,从而使压缩分布具有“埋峰”的外观。
DOL可以通过FSM或通过散射光偏振镜(SCALP)(例如可从位于爱沙尼亚塔林的Glasstress Ltd.获得的SCALP-04散射光偏振镜)来测量,这取决于强化方法和条件。当通过离子交换处理对内部玻璃层进行化学强化时,取决于哪个离子被交换到内部玻璃层中,可以使用FSM或SCALP。在通过将钾离子交换到内部玻璃层中而在内部玻璃板中产生应力的情况下,FSM用于测量DOL。在通过将钠离子交换到内部玻璃层中而产生应力的情况下,SCALP用于测量DOL。当通过将钾离子和钠离子交换到玻璃中而生成内玻璃层中的应力时,DOL是通过SCALP测量的,因为认为钠的交换深度指示DOL,而钾离子的交换深度指示压缩应力的量值变化(而不是从压缩应力到拉伸应力的应力变化);通过FSM测量这种内玻璃层中的钾离子的交换深度。中心张力或CT是最大拉伸应力并由SCALP测量。

在实施例中,装饰性层压体具有例如由破裂速度测量的模拟的抗石材冲击性,所述抗石材冲击性例如在每小时75至85英里的速度下为从40%至95%。
在实施例中,有机油墨印刷的装饰具有的厚度可以为5至25微米、5至20微米、5至15微米、5至12微米、6至12微米、7至10微米,包括中间值和范围。在一个或多个实施方式中,有机油墨印刷的装饰在例如印刷、干燥和固化之后的厚度可以例如为8至10微米。可以通过任何合适的方式来完成固化,例如使用热(即,热)、辐照(例如,UV光)和类似的方法、或它们的组合。
本公开的另一方面涉及一种制造上述层压体的方法。在一个或多个实施例中,所述方法包括将外层、夹层和内层按顺序组合成堆叠;将热量和压力施加到堆叠以形成层压体。
在实施例中,在堆叠中组合之前,堆叠内的至少一个内表面(例如,S2、S3、或S2和S3两者)在其上具有有机油墨印刷的装饰。
所述层压体的实施例通过用不引起强度(并因此抗冲击性)劣化的有机油墨材料来替换通常熔融在玻璃表面#2(S2)、#4(S2)或两者上的装饰性玻璃/陶瓷搪瓷玻璃料,来减轻搪瓷区域中的冲击破坏模式。由于有机油墨的性质,可以将其沉积在例如S2、S3或两者上。有机油墨可以由包括以下的材料组成,例如:充当油墨层连续基质的聚合物体系,诸如丙烯酸、环氧树脂或聚酯;有机或无机颜料;以及适合于获得期望的油墨层颜色和不透明度的填料;促进将有机油墨均匀地涂在玻璃表面上的工艺所必要的添加剂和溶剂。有机油墨在其施加到玻璃表面期间优选为液体,并通过一种或多种方法转化为固体层,例如,包括:通过暴露在紫外线而固化;通过暴露于热而固化;在环境条件下随时间推移而固化;溶剂的蒸发或移除、或其组合。
在一个或多个特定实施例中,层压体包括:相对较厚(1.6至3mm厚)的退火玻璃外层、在S2上设置的机油墨层、在有机油墨层上设置的夹层(诸如聚乙烯醇缩丁醛(PVB))、以及设置在夹层上的强化玻璃的薄内层(例如,化学、热和/或机械强化的玻璃层)。在实施例中,可以选择其他期望的组分,诸如在S2或S3上的红外反射(“IRR”)涂层,或层压在PVB层之间的IRR膜。在实施例中,可以选择具有声衰减的夹层。在实施例中,可以选择楔形PVB以与具有或不具有声学阻尼中间层的平视显示器(HUD)***一起使用。
实施例
下列实施例说明了根据上述一般程序对所公开的层压体和方法进行制造、使用和分析。
实施例1
层压制造玻璃层压制体可以适于在建筑和汽车开口例如汽车玻璃中提供光学透明的阻挡层。可以使用多种工艺来形成玻璃层压体。在示例性实施例中,所述组装包括:放下第一玻璃片材,覆盖诸如PVB板的聚合物夹层,放下第二玻璃片材,然后将多余的PVB修整到玻璃板的边缘。这些玻璃板中的任何一个或两个都可以是强化玻璃或非强化玻璃。定位步骤可以包括,例如,将大部分空气从界面排出并将部分PVB粘结到玻璃板。通常在升高的温度和压力下进行的最终步骤完成了每个玻璃板与聚合物夹层的配合。在前述实施例中,第一片材可以是化学强化玻璃片材,并且第二片材可以是非化学强化玻璃片材,反之亦然。
可以将诸如PVB的热塑性材料用作预成型的聚合物夹层。在某些实施例中,热塑性层可以具有至少0.125mm的厚度,例如,0.125、0.25、0.38、0.5、0.7、0.76、0.81、1、1.14、1.19或1.2mm。夹层或热塑性层可以具有小于或等于1.6mm的厚度,例如0.4至1.2mm,诸如约0.4、0.5、0.6、0.7、0.8、0.9、1.0、1.1或1.2mm。夹层或热塑性层可以具有大于1.6mm的厚度,例如,从1.6mm至3.0mm,从2.0mm至2.54mm,以及类似的范围,包括中间值和范围。热塑性层可以覆盖玻璃的两个相对的主表面的大部分,或者优选基本上全部。热塑性层也可以覆盖玻璃的端面。可以将与热塑性塑料层接触的玻璃片材加热到热塑性塑料的软化点以上,例如,比软化点高至少5℃或10℃,以促进热塑性材料与各自玻璃片材的粘结。可以通过使玻璃在压力下与热塑性层接触来执行加热。可以将一个或多个聚合物夹层结合到示例性玻璃层压结构中。多个夹层可以提供例如互补或独特的功能,包括抗冲击性能、粘合促进、声学控制、UV透射控制、着色、着色、IR透射控制等功能。
实施例2
抗石材冲击性评估用1克滚珠轴承(直径6.35mm)以45度入射角测试了所公开的层压体和比较性商业层压体的抗石材冲击性。从低速开始使用阶梯法,并且然后以约5mph的增量增加速度,直到观察到断裂为止。对于图5的威布尔曲线图中的每个数据点重复所述程序,在75至85英里/小时的破裂速度下,所公开的层压体的失败率或失败百分比为40%至95%。
图5另外示出了,对于层压体,在50mph的断裂速度下观察到失效率约为99%,所述层压体具有厚度为约2.1mm的退火钠钙玻璃外层以及厚度为2.1mm的退火钠钙玻璃的内层。所述层压体包括设置在表面2上的搪瓷玻璃料装饰。所述对称层压体的破裂速度在图5中以正方形符号示出并且是比较例。相比之下,包括相同玻璃和夹层结构但没有装饰的层压体几乎没有破裂,其中只有约1%的层压体失效(显示为点符号)。此外,少于1%的层压体(包括相同的玻璃和夹层结构,但在表面2具有有机油墨装饰)失效(显示为菱形)。最后,层压体结构包括厚度为2.1mm的退火钠钙玻璃和厚度为0.7mm的化学强化玻璃内层以及表面2上的有机油墨装饰的层压体构造几乎没有破裂,其中只有约1%的层压体失效(显示为三角形)。

Claims (19)
1.一种装饰性层压体,包括:
外层,所述外层包括厚度为1.5至3mm的未强化玻璃基板;
内层,所述内层包括厚度为0.05至0.7mm的化学强化玻璃基板;
聚合物夹层,所述聚合物夹层位于所述内层和所述外层之间;以及
有机油墨装饰,所述有机油墨装饰设置且固化在所述外层和所述内层中的一者或两者上,使得所述有机油墨装饰包括粘结到所述外层和所述内层中的一者或两者且设置在所述外层和所述夹层之间、所述内层和所述夹层之间、或者同时在所述外层和所述夹层之间以及所述内层和所述夹层之间的固体油墨层,
其中当受到1克球轴承在75至85英里/小时下以45度入射角冲击时,所述装饰性层压体的模拟抗石材冲击性通过40%至95%的破裂速度的威布尔分布测量。
2.根据权利要求1所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述有机油墨装饰的厚度为5至25微米。
3.根据权利要求1所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述外层包括钠钙玻璃,所述聚合物夹层包括聚乙烯醇缩丁醛,所述内层是离子交换玻璃并且所述有机油墨印刷的装饰是可固化油墨。
4.根据权利要求1所述的装饰性层压体,其中,所述聚合物夹层选自由以下组成的组:聚乙烯醇缩丁醛、乙烯乙酸乙烯酯、聚氯乙烯、离聚物、热塑性聚氨酯、或其组合。
5.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述聚合物夹层的厚度为0.125mm至3.0mm。
6.根据权利要求1至4中任一项所述的装饰性层压体,其中,所述聚合物夹层的厚度为0.25mm至1.6mm。
7.根据权利要求1至4中任一项所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述装饰性层压体是车辆的零件。
8.根据权利要求1至4中任一项所述的装饰性层压体,其中,所述外层具有厚度(to),并且包括强化玻璃的内层具有厚度(ti),并且to:ti的比率为1到20。
9.一种制造根据权利要求1至4中任一项所述的装饰性层压体的方法,包括:
将所述外层、所述聚合物夹层和所述内层按顺序组合在一起成堆叠;以及
将热量和压力施加到所述堆叠以形成所述装饰性层压体。
10.根据权利要求9所述的方法,其中在组合成所述堆叠之前,所述堆叠内的至少一个内表面具有设置在其上的有机油墨装饰。
11.一种装饰性层压体,包括:
外层,所述外层的厚度为1.5至3mm;
内层,所述内层包括厚度为0.05至0.7mm的强化玻璃基板;
夹层,所述夹层位于所述内层和所述外层之间;以及
有机油墨装饰,所述有机油墨装饰设置且固化在所述外层和所述内层中的一者或两者上,使得所述有机油墨装饰包括粘结到所述外层和所述内层中的一者或两者且设置在所述外层和所述夹层之间、所述内层和所述夹层之间、或者同时在所述外层和所述夹层之间以及所述内层和所述夹层之间的固体油墨层,
其中当受到1克球轴承在75至85英里/小时下以45度入射角冲击时,所述装饰性层压体的模拟抗石材冲击性通过40%至95%的破裂速度的威布尔分布测量。
12.根据权利要求11所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述外层未强化、退火或热强化,并且具有比所述内层更小的表面压缩应力。
13.根据权利要求11所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述有机油墨装饰的厚度为5至25微米。
14.根据权利要求11所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述外层包括钠钙玻璃,所述夹层包括聚乙烯醇缩丁醛。
15.根据权利要求11所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述夹层包括选自由聚乙烯醇缩丁醛、乙烯乙酸乙烯酯、聚氯乙烯、离聚物、热塑性聚氨酯、或其组合组成的组的聚合物。
16.根据权利要求11至15中任一项所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述夹层的厚度为0.125mm至3.0mm。
17.根据权利要求11至15中任一项所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述夹层的厚度为0.25mm至1.6mm。
18.根据权利要求11至15中任一项所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述装饰性层压体是车辆的零件。
19.根据权利要求11至15中任一项所述的装饰性层压体,其中所述外层具有厚度(to),并且包括强化玻璃的内层具有厚度(ti),并且to:ti的比率为1到20。
