Description

Thyme mouthwash oil and preparation method thereof
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of oral cleaning and nursing products, and particularly relates to thyme mouthwash oil and a preparation method thereof.
Background
The mouthwash is an oral care product for cleaning and health care in daily life of many people, particularly business people, but the mouthwash is often bottled in a large bottle and is inconvenient to carry about, and troubles are often brought to safety inspection and consignment of subways and airplanes. The mouthwash can be obtained by diluting the mouthwash oil by 30-50 times, 10ml of mouthwash oil can be used for gargling for 8-10 times, and the oral care needs can be met by carrying a small amount of mouthwash oil, so that the mouthwash is simple and convenient.
In addition, consumers are concerned about cleaning efficacy of mouthwash products and are concerned about whether mouthwash products can improve oral health problems, such as dental caries, oral ulcers, halitosis, and the like. Traditional mouthwash is generally prepared by using chemical reagents, and the common pharmaceutical ingredients of the mouthwash on the market comprise fluoride, triclosan, cetyl pyridinium chloride, chlorhexidine gluconate, potassium nitrate, sodium thiosulfate and the like, and the chemical drugs can kill part of harmful bacteria after contacting the surfaces of all parts of the oral cavity, but can also cause the side effects of strong irritation and harm to oral mucosa, for example, the fluoride can sterilize effectively, but also has harm to human bodies. Therefore, the mouthwash product which can clean the oral cavity and refresh the breath and is harmless to the oral cavity brings good news to consumers.
In patent CN108721176A, a mouthwash is disclosed, which provides a mouthwash formula using gallnut, perilla, cinnamon and rose essential oil as raw materials. The mouthwash takes traditional Chinese medicine substances as cleaning agents and bactericides, and can penetrate into subcutaneous parts of oral cavity, slits between teeth and gum to play a role in cleaning and bacteriostasis.
In patent CN108498401A, a mouthwash is disclosed, which is prepared by using weak alkali solution of sodium alginate as a carrier, and matching with lavender extract and Ɛ -polylysine, wherein the lavender extract has no stimulation to oral cavity, flavonoid and sterol compounds therein have good antibacterial effect, and the combination with Ɛ -polylysine has synergistic antibacterial effect, so that essential amino acids of human body are supplemented while continuous sterilization is realized. The product adopts amino acid for bacteriostasis, has novel idea, but has two defects: the product is instant mouthwash, so the product is inconvenient to carry; chemical substances such as sodium thiosulfate and sodium bicarbonate which have stimulating effects on the oral cavity are used.

The respective effects of the plant extracts are as follows:
thyme extract: the thyme extract has strong herb fragrance, sweet and mild herb fragrance with pungent fragrance, and slight wine taste. The main components of the compound are thymol (40-70%) and carvacrol (2-15%), and the thymol and the carvacrol are isomers. It is mainly used for food spices such as sausage, canned meat, sauce, etc., antitussive, and daily essence such as detergent and soap. Thymol has stronger bactericidal effect than phenol, has low toxicity, has bactericidal and fungicidal effects on oral cavity and throat mucosa, has antiseptic and local anesthesia effects on dental caries cavity, and can be used for sterilizing oral cavity and throat, dermatophytosis, actinomycosis and otitis. Can promote movement of trachea cilia, is beneficial to secretion of trachea mucus, has effect of eliminating phlegm, and also has antibacterial effect, so can be used for treating tracheitis, pertussis, etc.
Eucalyptus globulus labill extract: the Eucalyptus globulus Labill extract can be obtained by distilling dried leaves by steam distillation, and has oil yield of about 3%. The chemical components of the medicine are eucalyptol (about 90 percent), pinene, camphene, phellandrene and the like, and the substances have various biological activities of antibiosis, anti-inflammation, antioxidation, blood sugar reduction and the like, and have the effects of dispelling wind, relieving heat, inhibiting bacteria, diminishing inflammation, preventing corrosion, relieving itching and the like. The Eucalyptus globulus Labill extract has slight camphor smell, and is fresh and non-irritating. In personal care products such as chewing gum, toothpaste, gargle, etc., the Eucalyptus globulus Labill extract mainly has the functions of sterilization and perfuming.

Xylitol: xylitol, known by the chemical name pentol, is a natural sweetener extracted from plant materials such as white birch, corncob, sugarcane, etc. Xylitol has a cool sweet taste, but does not have the high calorie of sugar (the calorific value is 16.72 kJ/g), and is the most widely used sugar substitute. Xylitol metabolism is not regulated by insulin, is completely metabolized in a human body, and is a healthy sweet source for diabetics.
Menthol: menthol is a white crystal and is extracted from the leaves and stems of peppermint, which is the main component of common peppermint essential oils. Menthol is a saturated cyclic alcohol, and the substance can refresh breath and also has the effects of antisepsis, sterilization and the like; meanwhile, it is very soluble in alcohol solvent due to the hydroxyl group, and can solubilize thyme extract, tea extract and asarum extract.
1. The thyme mouthwash oil is used by diluting 30-50 times with water as mouthwash, and a small amount of mouthwash oil can be used for multiple times, so that the thyme mouthwash oil is particularly convenient for business people to carry about. The gargle oil can be quickly mixed with water to form a transparent aqueous liquid, and when used for gargling, the gargle oil is cool and sweet in taste, and has the effects of cleaning oral cavity, refreshing breath and having no stimulation to the oral cavity.
2. The thyme extract, the plant extract, the xylitol and the menthol in the thyme mouthwash oil have good solubility in alcohol solvents such as ethanol and propylene glycol, and are matched with the solubilization of polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil, the xylitol and the menthol, so that the whole system is uniform, transparent and stable in performance, and cannot generate the phenomena of turbidity and layering.
3. The thyme mouthwash oil has the advantages of readily available raw materials, simple preparation process and low cost.
