The invention discloses a composite sponge and a preparation process thereof, wherein the composite sponge comprises polyurethane sponge and polyvinyl alcohol sponge compounded in net-shaped gaps of the polyurethane sponge, and the density of the composite sponge is 45-150kg/m3(in dry product), the hardness of the composite sponge is more than 30HD, the volume of the polyvinyl alcohol sponge accounts for 60-80% of the total volume of the composite sponge, the volume of the polyurethane sponge accounts for 20-40% of the total volume of the composite sponge, the pore diameter of the polyurethane sponge is 3-30PPI, and the volume weight of the polyurethane sponge is 15-50kg/m3. The composite sponge has strong dirt scraping capability, does not damage the surface of a wiped object, has high water absorption and water retention characteristics, and has good cleaning effect.

s6: and (4) putting the semi-finished product prepared in the step S5 into an oven or a water tank, heating for an aldolization reaction at the temperature of 30-100 ℃, reacting for 2 hours-2 weeks, and taking out the polyvinyl alcohol concoction solution from the oven or the water tank when the polyvinyl alcohol concoction solution is in a non-sticky elastic solid state and water is formed on the surface of the sponge.
