Abstract

本发明公开了一种定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷及其制备方法和应用,属于建筑材料技术领域。采用SiC粉为原材料,以钛白粉作为造孔剂,经湿法混料后经半干压成型得到坯体,将坯体干燥、烧结后得到定向多孔SiC陶瓷。本发明采用钛白粉作为造孔剂,通过高温时,PVB树脂粉末裂解生成的碳与SiC相、氧化钛反应生成的TiC陶瓷相,对高温形成的定向多孔SiC陶瓷进行界面改善,为后续复合材料提供界面改善的定向多孔SiC陶瓷增强体。原料易得、成本低,制造工艺简单。制得的多孔陶瓷具有气孔定向分布特征,具有较高相对密度和抗折强度(强度测试压力平行于轴向),通过对钛白粉用量的控制可以在一定程度上实现对最终制品气孔率的控制。

Description

一种定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷及其制备方法和应用
技术领域
本发明属于陶瓷材料技术领域,具体涉及一种定向多孔碳化硅(SiC)陶瓷及其制备方法和应用。
背景技术
定向多孔陶瓷材料是一类结构上气孔呈定向分布特征的多孔陶瓷材料。定向多孔SiC陶瓷制备方法有采用冷冻干燥法、挤出成型和模板法等工艺。专利CN101323524以碳化硅、碳粉、硅粉和氧化硅为原料,利用炉内沿轴向存在温差分布特征制备了定向多孔SiC陶瓷。之后刘光亮、刘波波等先后采用SiO2和Si3N4作为造孔剂制备了气孔具有定向分布特征的定向多孔SiC陶瓷。申请人团队采用Fe2O3作为造孔剂干压成型烧结后制备了孔筋密度和强度很高的定向多孔SiC陶瓷,通过调节造孔剂含量实现了孔径尺寸控制。但是不足之处是界面润湿性较差。专利CN103193507A通过在SiC陶瓷表面引入一定剂量的金属薄膜,例如Ti和Ni等,降低金属对SiC陶瓷表面的接触角,改善金属与陶瓷的界面结合,但是工艺复杂,引入的金属薄膜与SiC陶瓷相存在界面。
发明内容
为了解决上述问题,本发明的目的在于提供一种定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷及其制备方法和应用,本发明是通过以下技术方案来实现:
本发明公开了一种定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的方法,分为以下步骤:
1)将钛白粉和SiC粉料按照(5~30)%:(70~95)%的质量百分比进行湿法混料,干燥后得到混合料;
2)向混合料中加入10%浓度的PVB树脂粉末的酒精溶液,搅拌均匀后过筛进行造粒,然后进行半干压成型,得到坯体;
3)将坯体干燥、烧结,得到定向多孔SiC陶瓷。
优选地,SiC粉料的平均粒度为6微米,混料后的粒度尺寸为320目。
优选地,湿法混料采用酒精,湿法混料的时间为12h。
优选地,步骤1)中的干燥采用旋转蒸发仪。
优选地,过筛是过120目的筛。
优选地,半干压成型的压力为5吨。
优选地,步骤3)中,干燥的温度为120℃,干燥的时间为12h。
优选地,烧结是在氩气气氛、0.8MPa的炉压下自室温起以100℃/min的升温速度升至2150℃,保温2h,再以10℃/min的降温速度冷却至室温。
本发明还公开了采用上述方法制备的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷。
本发明还公开了该定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷作为复合材料浸渗增强体的应用。
与现有技术相比,本发明具有以下有益的技术效果:
本发明的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的方法,采用SiC粉为原材料,以钛白粉作为造孔剂,经湿法混料后经半干压成型得到坯体,将坯体干燥、烧结后得到定向多孔SiC陶瓷。本发明采用钛白粉作为造孔剂,通过高温时,PVB树脂粉末裂解生成的碳与SiC相、氧化钛反应生成的TiC陶瓷相,对高温形成的定向多孔SiC陶瓷进行界面改善,为后续复合材料提供界面改善的定向多孔SiC陶瓷增强体。本发明采用钛白粉作为造孔剂,原料易得、成本低,制造工艺简单。
制得的多孔陶瓷具有气孔定向分布特征,具有较高相对密度和抗折强度(强度测试压力平行于轴向),通过对钛白粉用量的控制可以在一定程度上实现对最终制品气孔率的控制;界面的改善,为后续金属浸渗制备复合材料带来了便利。
进一步地,采用旋转蒸发仪进行干燥可以有效避免在一般静止干燥过程中不同颗粒因为密度差异引起沉降速度而导致粉料分层和混合不均匀现象。
进一步地,采用5吨压力进行半干压成型可以促使颗粒之间实现更大程度上点接触。

具体实施方式
下面结合具体的实施例对本发明做进一步的详细说明,所述是对本发明的解释而不是限定。
本发明公开的一种定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的制备方法:
实施例1
1)将钛白粉和平均粒度为6微米的SiC粉料按照15%:85%的质量百分比混料后加入酒精,使用球磨机进行湿法混料,得到粒度尺寸为320目的混合料;
2)向混合料中加入浓度为10%的PVB树脂粉末的酒精溶液,搅拌均匀后过120目的筛后使用造粒机进行造粒,然后在5吨的压力下进行半干压成型,得到坯体;
3)将坯体放入干燥箱,在120℃下干燥12h;然后放入中频电磁感应真空高温烧结炉,在氩气气氛、0.8MPa的炉压下自室温起以100℃/min的升温速度升至2150℃,保温2h,再以10℃/min的降温速度冷却至室温,得到定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷。
图1为制得的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷不同径向微观形貌图,可以看出制备得到多孔陶瓷结构呈现典型的定向特征。图2、图3为制得的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的轴向微观形貌中晶界带状组织图及局部放大图,可以看出SiC陶瓷晶界上存在大量带状组织。图4为制得的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷在透射电镜下的晶格参数,测试晶格间距平均值约为0.43nm,确定为TiC陶瓷相。
测试制得的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷孔筋密度为2.92g/cm3,轴向抗折强度为45.21MPa,相对密度为91.5%。
在其余条件不变的情况,改变钛白粉和SiC粉料的质量百分比所进行的实施例2~6如表1所示,制得的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的孔筋密度、轴向抗折强度和相对密度数值如表1所示。

由表1看出,制得的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷,具有良好的孔筋密度、轴向抗折强度和相对密度。

Claims (10)

1.一种定向多孔SiC陶瓷的制备方法,其特征在于,分为以下步骤:
1)将钛白粉和SiC粉料按照(5~30)%:(70~95)%的质量百分比进行湿法混料,干燥后得到混合料;
2)向混合料中加入10%浓度的PVB树脂粉末的酒精溶液,搅拌均匀后过筛进行造粒,然后进行半干压成型,得到坯体;
3)将坯体干燥、烧结,得到定向多孔SiC陶瓷。
2.根据权利要求1所述的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的制备方法,其特征在于,SiC粉料的平均粒度为6微米,混料后的粒度尺寸为320目。
3.根据权利要求1所述的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的制备方法,其特征在于,湿法混料采用酒精,湿法混料的时间为12h。
4.根据权利要求1所述的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的制备方法,其特征在于,步骤1)中的干燥采用旋转蒸发仪。
5.根据权利要求1所述的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的制备方法,其特征在于,过筛是过120目的筛。
6.根据权利要求1所述的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的制备方法,其特征在于,半干压成型的压力为5吨。
7.根据权利要求1所述的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的制备方法,其特征在于,步骤3)中,干燥的温度为120℃,干燥的时间为12h。
8.根据权利要求1所述的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的制备方法,其特征在于,烧结是在氩气气氛、0.8MPa的炉压下自室温起以100℃/min的升温速度升至2150℃,保温2h,再以10℃/min的降温速度冷却至室温。
9.采用权利要求1~8任意一项所述定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷的制备方法所制备的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷。
10.权利要求9所述的定向多孔碳化硅陶瓷作为复合材料浸渗增强体的应用。
