Abstract

一种用于LCD器件并在整个屏幕上产生均匀 亮度的背照明装置,包括一个在导光板的透光顶面上 沿第一方向形成的半圆柱凹面,两个靠近导光板沿垂 直于第一方向的每一边缘安装的灯,一个安放在透光 顶面上的散光板,一个固定到透光底面下边的反射 板,以及在导光板和反射板之间形成的反射膜花纹。 本发明的背照明装置制作简单,能产生均匀的高亮 度。

Description

本发明涉及一种液晶器件的背照明装置,具体地说涉及一种用于诸如液晶显示(LCD)器件之类的显示器件的、在整个屏上都保证有均匀亮度的背照明装置。
在名称为“Compact    LCD    Luminance”的美国专利第4,974,122号中以及在名称为“Backlighting    Device    for    a    Liquid    Crystal    Panel”的美国专利第4,937,709中公开了常规的背照明装置。后一个专利中公开的背照明装置在板的中央部分具有较小的反射膜花纹,而在板的边缘具有较大的花纹。用于前一个专利的LCD器件的背照明装置的导光板在安装有灯的边缘处的厚度大于中间部分的厚度。
图1和2是用于LCD器件的常规背照明装置的简图。
现在参照图1。常规的背照明装置包括一个散光板1;一个固定到散光板1的底部的导光板3;两排安装在导光板相对两边缘附近的柱状灯2;安装在导光板下边的反射板4;以及在导光板和反射板之间形成的反射膜花纹5。导光板3由它的每个边缘接收来自灯2的光,并对光进行导向,使光能穿过导光板并使某些光能穿过散光板。此外,反射板4还用于将引入导光板3中的光的散射光反射至散光板1。特别是,在反射板4上形成能将光漫散射向散光板的反射膜花纹5。反射膜花纹5是以导光板3中心部为基准、沿垂直和水平方向对称地按不同的尺寸印制出的,如图2所示。换言之,反射膜花纹5从导光板3中心部分沿两个相对的没有设置灯的边缘的长度方向逐渐变大。相反,反射膜花纹5从导光板3的中心部分沿两个相对的有灯的边缘的横向方向逐渐变小。由于灯2发射出的光的亮度随着灯的距离而变化,因此印制出的反射膜花纹在亮度最低处的那些部分(即距灯最远的那些部分)要具有最大的尺寸,以便借助于最大的光反射来增加亮度。相反,印制出的反射膜花纹在亮度最高的部分(即靠近灯的部分)要具有最小的尺寸,以便借助于最小的光反射得到最小的亮度。因此,可使整个LCD板亮度均匀一致。
但是,在反射膜花纹的尺寸按高精度要求有所变化的同时,从导光板3的中心部分开始沿平行于或垂直于柱状灯的方向对称印制反射膜花纹是极其困难的。
还有,如果LCD板在平行于图2所示灯的垂直方向伸长的话,就要被迫改变反射膜花纹的尺寸,以保持反射膜之间的对称性,以免整个板的亮度不均匀。
为了克服上述缺点,本发明的一个目的是提供一种能产生高而均匀的亮度、而且非常容易制造的背照明装置。
为了实现上述目的,本发明提供一种用于LCD器件的背照装置,该背照明装置包括一个具有之间隔开预定距离的透光顶面和透光底面的导光板,该背照明装置包括一个在导光板的透光顶面形成的半圆柱凹面部分;两个靠近导光板沿垂直于第一方向的每个边缘设置的灯;一个安放在透光顶面上的散光板;一个固定在透光的底面之下的反射板;以及在导光板和反射板之间形成的反射膜花纹。
按照本发明的背照明装置,就可在导光板的整个表面上获得没有任何变化的高亮度的光。
从下述结合附图对本发明进行的详细描述中,本发明的这些和其他目的、特点、状况,以及优点都将变得更加清楚,其中:
图1是表示常规背照明装置的剖面图;
图2是表示在常规背照明装置的反射板上形成的反射膜花纹的示意图;
图3是本发明的背照明装置的透视图,其中无灯边缘处的厚度大于内部的厚度;
图4是图3的背照明装置沿A-A′线的剖面图;以及
图5是表示在图3的背照明装置的反射板上形成的反射膜花纹的示意图。
下面参照附图描述本发明的背照明装置的一个优选实施例。
图3是按本发明的背照明装置的一个示意的透视图,图4是图3的背照明装置沿A-A′线的剖面图,而图5是表示图3的背照明装置的反射膜印制花纹的示意图。
现在参照图3和图4。按本发明的背照明装置包括:一个具有预定厚度的导光板30,在导光板30上沿A-A′方向形成一个半圆柱形的凹面;两个灯20靠近导光板垂直于A′方向的每个边缘安装;一个放在导光板顶部的散光板10;一个固定到导光板底部的反射板40;以及在导光板和反射板之间形成的反射膜花纹50。在导光板30和反射板40之间形成的多个反射膜花纹50相互间隔开预定的距离,以便漫反射导光板30的入射光。反射膜花纹50最好间隔相等。
另一方面,位于散光板10下方且把灯20的光导向散光板10的导光板30的厚度从中轴向两个相对的无灯边缘逐渐加大。因此,导光板30的两个无灯的相对边缘的厚度最好做得比它们中间的中轴部分厚5-20%。还有,最好用注模法或热压法制造导光板30。
在如以上所述构造的本发明的背照明装置中,如果光从灯20发出,光即被引入导光板30。顺便提一下,几乎所有引入导光板30的光都被反射板40和导光板30之间形成的反射膜花纹50反射到散光板10。
按照本发明的一个实施例,在两个相对的无灯边缘之间的中间部分的反射膜花纹尺寸最大,从而加强了对灯20的光的反射。还有,导光板30的厚度从中轴部分开始向无灯20的两个相对边缘逐渐加大,从而在每个边缘都能提供更多的光反射。
因此,为了克服常规的背照明装置的光照不均匀性,在垂直于两排柱状灯的方向上对在导光板30和反射板40之间形成的反射膜花纹50进行不同尺寸的涂敷,而在平行于灯的方向上对花纹50进行相同尺寸的涂敷,从而便于用较简单的方向制造高亮度背照明装置。
按上述本发明的背照明装置,能够克服由部分原因引起的亮度差异,并且因为反射膜花纹不必作成不同尺寸来克服亮度差异,因此可以保证背照明装置的制作较比简单。
虽然已参照特殊实施例具体表示出并描述了本发明,但本领域的技术人员都能懂得,其中可进行各种形式和细节上的变化,但都不脱离由所附的权利要求书限定的本发明的构思和范围。

Claims (3)

1、一种用于LCD器件的背照明装置,包括一个具有分隔开预定距离的透光顶面和透光底面的导光板,该装置包括:
一个沿第一方向在所述导光板的透光顶面上形成的半圆柱形凹面;
两个靠近所述导光板沿垂直于第一方向的每个边缘设置的灯;
一个安放在所述透光顶面上的散光板;
一个固定在所述透光底面的下边的反射板;以及
在所述导光板和反射板之间形成的反射膜花纹。
2、如权利要求1所述的背照明装置,其中,所述反射膜花纹沿平行于所述第一方向的方向加工成不同的尺寸,而在垂直于所述第一方向的方向有相同的尺寸,所述花纹以预定的间隔印制。
3、如权利要求1所述的背照明装置,其中,所述半圆形凹面的深度从所述每一边缘至两个无灯边缘之间的中线处逐步变大。
