The usual way to read the power of a three-phase four-wire mutual inductance meter is the ratio of the counter reading times the mutual inductance. The mechanical meter mainly comprises a voltage coil, a current coil (i.e. a mutual inductor), a rotating shaft, a brake magnet, a gear, a counter and the like. The working principle of the mechanical kilowatt-hour meter is as follows: when the ammeter is connected to the circuit to be tested, alternating currents can be generated in the voltage coil and the current coil to flow through, and the two alternating currents respectively generate alternating magnetic fluxes in the iron cores between the two alternating currents; alternating magnetic flux passes through the aluminum disc, and eddy currents are induced in the aluminum disc; the eddy currents in turn receive forces in the magnetic field, which in turn cause the aluminum disk to turn by torque. The faster the load consumes the power, the larger the moment of rotation of the aluminum disc, and the counter is driven by the worm to indicate the consumed electric energy when the aluminum disc rotates.
In the process, the counter rotates due to the fact that electric energy is converted into electric energy, counting errors are caused by friction torque and other factors, meanwhile, the traditional electric quantity reading mode is that the counter displays electric quantity and the ratio of mutual inductance is multiplied, and therefore metering deviation of the mutual inductance type electric meter is large and the overall effect is poor.
