背景技术
塑料、层压材料和涂料(如油漆和印刷油墨)的表面一般通过在微观范围内的选择性粗化来消光。投射在粗糙表面上的光因此被漫反射而不是被定向反射。表面结构的高度、形状和数量决定涂层、漆膜或印刷油墨的光泽度。
通常添加特定的消光剂来实现无光表面。根据膜层厚度,这样的消光剂例如包括粒径在1μm至大约20μm范围内的球形颗粒。其他常用的消光剂是基于沉淀或热解二氧化硅或硅胶,还有基于硬质体、蜡或热塑性塑料的消光剂。另外为人所知的是硅酸盐也适合,如硅藻土、煅烧陶瓷粘土,以及碳酸钙和不同种类的空心球。

此外,DE 195 16 253 A1描述了基于喷雾干燥硅胶的消光剂。为了确保聚集体的稳定性,使用粘结剂,比如层状硅酸盐、热解二氧化硅或有机聚合物。消光剂的粒径为1-20μm且比孔体积为0.4-2.5mL/g。
最后,DE 1 519 232 A1公开了一种含有颜料聚集体的消光剂的无光涂料,该颜料聚集体是通过市售颜料及作为粘结剂的硅酸盐一起喷雾干燥及随后的退火过程制备的。聚集体的直径为2-70μm。
常规消光剂被掺入到涂料制剂中。后者被应用于衬底表面以使表面消光。由于包含已知消光剂,这些制剂在其制备和处理过程中有显著的缺点。除其他外,成型的消光剂倾向于粘灰。此外,这些消光剂在结合到涂料制剂中时被机械粉碎。这导致制剂粘度大幅度增加,使生产、处理和加工更加困难。含有常规消光剂的涂料化学不稳定,易受土壤侵蚀,耐磨性低。这样的结果是磨损速度快以及消光的表面不美观。
因此,本领域需要至少部分克服这些缺陷的消光剂。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供一种用于生产着色无光表面的消光剂,从而能够克服现有消光剂的至少部分缺陷。
该目的是通过一种用于制备着色无光表面的消光剂实现的,该消光剂包含颜料颗粒的聚集体,其特征在于:所述聚集体的平均聚集体尺寸d50为2-200μm,优选为2-100μm,更优选为2-50μm,以及最优选为2-20μm,比表面(BET)为5-50m2/g。
本发明的消光剂具有优异的消光性能。通过掺入该试剂,涂料制剂的粘度没有显著变化,因此含有该试剂的制剂易于制备、处理且可应用。在不希望受到任何特定的科学理论约束的情况下,人们认为传统的消光剂在掺入时是被机械粉碎成在一个一位数纳米范围内的微小颗粒。这导致制剂粘度显著增加。相反,本发明采用包含平均粒径范围在0.1-1μm的颜料颗粒的聚集体。当被掺入制剂中时,只有一小部分的聚集体被粉碎成其颜料颗粒。然而,这些颜料颗粒不会引起粘度的显著增加,并使掺入过程简单。该制剂可应用于任何类型的表面,并随后被固化。相比于一般含有消光剂的涂料,含有二氧化钛颜料颗粒及其聚集体的涂料具有改善的化学稳定性、耐磨性、耐污性。
因此,在第一方面,本发明涉及用于生产着色无光表面的消光剂,其中该消光剂包含颜料颗粒的聚集体,并且所述聚集体特征在于平均聚集体尺寸d50为2-200μm,优选为2-100μm,更优选为2-50μm,最优选为2-20μm,并且比表面积(BET)为5-50m2/g。

本文所使用的“颜料”是指根据DIN 55 943在应用介质中几乎不溶解的无机或有机着色剂,它们在应用介质中既无化学变化也无物理变化,并且保持其颗粒结构。它们基于色素颗粒与可见光通过吸收和缓解的相互作用而被用来着色。通常颜料颗粒的平均粒径(d50)在0.1-1μm的范围内。
本文公开的消光剂包括颜料颗粒的聚集体。这些聚集体的平均聚集体尺寸d50为2-200μm,优选为2-100μm,更优选为2-50μm,最优选为2-20μm,并且比表面(BET)为5-50m2/g。优选的,聚集体的比表面(BET)为10-30m2/g,更优选为11-25m2/g,最优选为13-20m2/g。所述表面是根据DIN 66 131由静态容积原则确定。含有低比表面的聚集体的涂料抗污性强,因此当暴露于污垢时特别有优势。这种具有低比表面的聚集体特别适合于与食品和饮料(例如茶或咖啡)接触的存储区域,例如,供室内和室外使用的装饰物品。
现有技术中已知且适合于本发明目的的任何颜料都可以用作所述颜料颗粒。根据本发明,所述颜料颗粒可以是有机或无机颜料。也可以使用不同有机颜料的混合物或不同无机颜料的混合物或甚至有机和无机颜料的混合物。
有机颜料通常是有机彩色、白色和黑色颜料。无机颜料也可以是彩色、白色颜料以及通常用作填料的无机颜料。

本发明的无机颜料优选为金属盐,更优选为金属氧化物。金属盐,如本文所用,指的是该术语的普遍接受的定义,是一种包含至少一种金属阳离子和至少一种阴离子的盐。金属氧化物,如本文所用,指的是这个术语被普遍接受的定义,是一种化合物,包含至少一个金属原子和至少一个氧原子的化合物。
此外,也可使用通常用作填料的无机颜料颗粒,如氧化铝、氢氧化铝、硫化锌、天然和沉淀白垩和硫酸钡。
优选地,颜料颗粒选自由碳酸镁、硫酸钡、二氧化钛、氧化锌、硫化锌、碳酸钙镁石、铅白、锌钡白、方石英、陶瓷粘土以及它们的混合物组成的组。在本文公开的所有颜料颗粒中,二氧化钛因为其颜料性能和高莫氏硬度而最为优选。二氧化钛可以金红石、锐钛矿和板钛矿的晶体结构存在,通常以金红石或锐钛矿晶体结构存在。相比于锐钛矿,金红石由于其较低的光催化活性而特别适合。
此外,颜料颗粒可以被无机和/或有机后处理。因此,颗粒与无机或有机物质接触。这种物质和技术在本领域中是已知的。除其他外,无机物质包括二氧化硅和氧化铝。在一个优选实施例中,颗粒被无机后处理。
如上所述,二氧化钛最优选地被选作颜料颗粒。本文公开的二氧化钛可以通过硫酸盐法或氯化物法获得。它优选选自由未经处理的二氧化钛颜料、后处理的非微粉化二氧化钛颜料、现成的二氧化钛颜料以及它们的混合物组成的组。“后处理的(aftertreated)”,如本文所用,是指在制备颜料或原颜料之后的至少一个其它工艺步骤。在现有技术中已经确立了这样的工艺步骤。这些步骤例如包括砂磨、将层应用于颜料或粗颜料、洗涤、干燥、蒸汽碾磨或此类步骤的组合。在传统的后处理过程中,先将原颜料进行砂磨,然后用二氧化硅和氧化铝进行可选的无机改性,然后洗涤、干燥,最后再进行蒸汽研磨。后处理用于改善颗粒颜料或聚集体的物理、特别是光学和化学性质,并且可以适合于成品颜料的各个特定用途,例如,相应的涂料制剂。在不同的实施例中,二氧化钛可以已经用二氧化硅和/或氧化铝后处理。因此,二氧化钛可以先用二氧化硅、随后用氧化铝后处理。这种后处理以及用于其的物质和技术在现有技术中是众所周知的。后处理的颜料在现有技术中也称为成品颜料(finished pigments)。因此,如本文定义所述,“未经处理的(untreated)”,是指颜料颗粒或原颜料。因此,根据本发明,二氧化钛可用作根据硫酸盐法的原颜料。如果需要,可以干燥,优选喷雾干燥,或在干燥之前分散在溶剂中。
粒径的调整可以通过已有的方法,如研磨,或通过在颜料生产过程中选择特定的条件来实现。
优选地,颜料颗粒的平均粒径d50为100-1000nm,更优选为200-500nm。
此外,聚集体的油吸收值(根据DIN ISO 787第5部分测得)优选为15-25g/100g,优选为17-22g/100g。
根据本发明的颜料颗粒的聚集体可以通过现有技术中公开的任何方法制备。优选地,颜料颗粒通过造粒、烧结、压缩成型、或分散后干燥而聚集。更优选地,颜料颗粒首先分散并随后干燥。分散也可以通过适用于此的任何常规方法来进行。因此,可使颜料颗粒与溶剂混合,其中可使用水、有机溶剂或其混合物。适合的有机溶剂包括所有现有技术已知的并适合于本发明目的有机溶剂,尤其是性极质子溶剂和非极性质子溶剂。这些有机溶剂包括但不限于:醇,如异丙醇、正丙醇、丙酮、乙酸乙酯、甲基乙基酮、四氢呋喃(THF)和二甲基亚砜(DMSO)。此外,短链烷烃,如戊烷、庚烷等,也可使用。此外,可以添加常用的分散剂,如市售的Tegomer DA 640、三羟甲基丙烷(TMP)、辛基三氯硅烷(OCTCS)、辛基三乙氧基硅烷(OCTEO)或依替膦酸。分散可以通过通常的方法和技术来实现,例如,在装有常用搅拌器的容器中。优选地,颜料颗粒的分散在搅拌珠磨机(agitator bead mill)中进行。对于这种方法,例如,可以使用大小为0.4-0.6mm的氧化锆研磨珠,并且可以在一个周期内以每分钟3000转的转数进行研磨15-30分钟。
随后的干燥可以通过本领域已知的任何方法和技术来实现。为此,无限制地,带式干燥机、机架式干燥机、旋转式干燥机和喷雾干燥机可适用。优选地,通过喷雾干燥使分散体干燥。干燥条件是以这样的方式选择的,即使形成的聚集体在本文公开的尺寸范围内。可选地,可以通过已建立的分离方法实现具有较窄粒径分布的聚集体。还可以使用常规的技术粉碎聚集体,以实现本公开的尺寸。这些包括,但不限于,研磨,例如,使用冲击磨机。
还公开了通过本发明公开的方法获得的消光剂。
本发明还涉及用于制备包含本文公开的消光剂的着色无光表面的涂料制剂。所述消光剂的含量可以为0.1-98重量%,优选1-50重量%,更优选为2-25重量%,最优选为3-23重量%,基于涂料制剂的总重量。可选地,这些制剂还可包括颜料。在优选的实施方式中,这些颜料与聚集体的颜料具有相同的成分(composition),换句话说,所述颜料的成分和聚集体的颜料的成分是一致的。还优选制剂中不含有额外的非聚集的颜料。
除了根据本发明的消光剂外,该制剂还可含有常规的消光剂。优选地,该制剂不含有任何其它消光剂。
优选地,制剂含有常规的成分。本领域中已知的适合于本发明用途的任何组分都可以作为组分。优选地,制剂包括选自由粘合剂、消泡剂、分散剂、填料、溶剂、防腐剂、辅助成膜剂、流变添加剂组成的组中的至少一种组分。防腐剂也包括通常的杀菌剂。涂料制剂中包括大漆、油漆以及印刷油墨。
本发明还涉及衬底(substrate)的着色无光表面,其中所述表面的特征在于所述表面涂覆有本发明所公开的涂料制剂。这些制剂可以是在通常的组合物中所建立的一部分、两部分和多组分油漆的形式。通过通常的技术和方法将油漆施加到衬底上,并且由于涂料组合物(尤其是粘合剂)的功能而固化,例如,通过紫外线照射或干燥。所述衬底包括但不限于木材、塑料、金属、纸张、玻璃织物及其混合物。
本发明还涉及一种塑料,其特征在于所述塑料包括根据本发明的消光剂。在现有技术中已知的且适合本发明用途的任何塑料都可以用作所述的塑料。“塑料”,如本文所述,是指基于塑料的总重量含有至少50重量%的聚合物的材料。所述聚合物可以是均聚物、共聚物或接枝聚合物。此外,聚合物可以是无规、等规或间规聚合物。进一步的,塑料是热塑性塑料、弹性体、硬塑料或热塑性弹性体,优选为热塑性塑料。没有限制地,聚合物选自由聚烯烃、聚苯乙烯、聚酰胺、聚酮、聚酯、聚氨酯、聚(甲基)丙烯酸酯及其混合物组成的组。非限制性地,聚烯烃选自由聚乙烯、聚丙烯、聚丁烯及其混合物组成的组。消光剂可以通过已知的技术和方法掺入塑料中,例如通过挤出(extruding)。消光剂以常规的量加工到塑料中。因此,基于得到的塑料的总重量,所得塑料包含0.1-30重量%、优选为1-25重量%的本发明的消光剂。
最后,本发明还涉及颜料颗粒的聚集体用于对着色涂料消光的用途,其特征在于:所述聚集体的平均聚集体尺寸d50为2-200μm,优选为2-100μm,更优选为2-50μm,最优选为2-20μm,并且比表面(BET)为5-50m2/g。
在本发明的另一个实施例中,颜料混合物也可用作颜料组合物,例如,其中提供光泽表面的常规颜料与颜料聚集体混合。
根据本发明的颜料组合物含有颜料颗粒的聚集体。在成品涂料中,颜料组合物是既有颜料颗粒聚集体也有易分散的颜料颗粒的形式,其中颜料颗粒聚集体提供了所要求的表面粗糙度,从而满足颜料的典型要求。
本发明是基于诸如大漆、油漆和印刷油墨的涂料中的颜料组合物,即用作消光剂也用作颜料,从而使得用于产生无光表面的附加消光剂的使用可以省略。
测试方法
粒径分布和质量相关中值d50
采用Malvern公司的Mastersizer 2000通过激光衍射法测定粒径分布和质量相关中值d50。为进行测量,将六偏磷酸钠溶液(80毫升,0.06%,在蒸馏水中)的悬浮液与待检查的颗粒材料(2g)一同分散,然后用Ultraturrax搅拌器以9500rpm的搅拌速度搅拌60秒。
使用以下设备设置进行测量:
折射率(n),介质(水):1.33

KU粘度(罐粘度)
使用Brookfield公司的Krebs-Stormer粘度计(KU-2粘度计)确定新鲜油漆的KU粘度。结果用克雷布斯单位(Krebs unit)表示。
油吸收
确定待检查的颗粒材料(100g)完全润湿所需的亚麻油量。该方法是按照DIN ISO787第5部分进行的。
比表面(BET)
基于根据DIN 66 131的静态容积原则,使用Micromeritics公司的Tristar 3000,确定/测量BET比表面。
实施例
实施例1a
金红石晶体改性形式的二氧化钛颜料母体在用Al2O3后处理、过滤、洗涤、分离、干燥,但未微粉化,随后再次与水(3.25升)中的TiO2(2.5kg)混合为水性悬浮液。悬浮液在Labstar搅拌珠磨机(0.4-0.6mm硅珠,型号ZY)中在循环过程中采用0.2kWh/kg的特定能量输入分散16分钟。随后,悬挂在喷雾干燥器中干燥(Büchi小型喷雾干燥器B-290)。
喷雾干燥器聚集体粒径d50为10μm,比表面(BET)为16m2/g,油吸收为20g/100g。
实施例1b
用实施例1a的喷雾干燥的颜料,根据下面方法的水性分散颜料(颜料体积浓度=19%):
首先,使用根据表1的组分通过溶解器制备预混合溶液。随后,预混料(192.50g)与根据实施例1a得到的二氧化钛颜料(57.50g)在添加有玻璃珠(50g,SiLi珠,型号S)的Skandex混合器中混合30分钟。

Claims (15)
1.一种用于生产着色无光表面的消光剂,所述消光剂包含颜料颗粒的聚集体,其特征在于,所述聚集体的平均聚集体尺寸d50为2-200μm,优选为2-100μm,更优选为2-50μm,最优选为2-20μm,并且比表面(BET)为5-50m2/g。
2.根据权利要求1所述的消光剂,其特征在于,所述颜料颗粒为金属盐。
3.根据权利要求2所述的消光剂,其特征在于,所述金属盐为金属氧化物。
4.根据权利要求1-3中一项或多项所述的消光剂,其特征在于,
所述金属氧化物为二氧化钛;和/或
所述二氧化钛选自由未处理的二氧化钛颜料、后处理的非微粉化的二氧化钛颜料、成品的二氧化钛颜料及其混合物组成的组;和/或
所述聚集体的比表面(BET)为10-30m2/g,优选为11-25m2/g,更优选为13-20m2/g;和/或
所述聚集体的根据DIN ISO 787第5部分测得的油吸收值为15-25g/100g,优选为17-22g/100g;和/或
所述颜料颗粒的平均粒径d50为100-1000nm,优选为200-500nm。
5.一种用于生产包含颜料颗粒的聚集体的消光剂的方法,其特征在于,所述颜料颗粒是通过造粒、烧结、压缩成型、或分散之后干燥而聚集的,优选是通过分散之后干燥而聚集的。
6.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,所述颜料颗粒的分散是在搅拌珠磨机中进行的,从而得到分散体;和/或
所述分散体的干燥是通过喷雾干燥进行的。
7.根据权利要求5或6所述的方法,其特征在于,在所述分散步骤中应用选自由水、有机溶剂和分散剂组成的组中的至少一个组分。
8.根据权利要求5-7所述的方法,其特征在于,
所述颜料颗粒为金属盐,优选为金属氧化物,更优选为二氧化钛;和/或
所述二氧化钛选自由未处理的二氧化钛颜料、后处理的非微粉化的二氧化钛颜料、成品的二氧化钛颜料及其混合物组成的组。
9.一种用于生产着色无光表面的消光剂,其特征在于,所述消光剂是按照根据权利要求5-8中一项或多项所述的方法得到的。
10.一种用于生产着色无光表面的涂料制剂,其特征在于,所述制剂包含根据权利要求1-4和9中一项或多项所述的消光剂。
11.根据权利要求10所述的涂料制剂,其特征在于,所述制剂包含非聚集的颜料颗粒,所述非聚集的颜料颗粒选自由未处理的二氧化钛颜料、后处理的非微粉化的二氧化钛颜料、成品的二氧化钛颜料及其混合物组成的组。
12.根据权利要求10或11所述的涂料制剂,其特征在于,
所述制剂不含有任何其它消光剂;和/或
所述制剂不包含任何其它非聚集的颜料;和/或
所述制剂包含选自由粘合剂、消泡剂、分散剂、填料、溶剂、防腐剂、成膜助剂以及流变助剂组成的组中的至少一种组分。
13.一种衬底的着色无光表面,其特征在于,所述表面涂覆有根据权利要求10-12中一项或多项所述的涂料制剂。
14.一种包含消光剂的塑料,其特征在于,所述塑料包含根据权利要求1-4和9中一项或多项所述的消光剂。
15.一种颜料颗粒的聚集体用于使着色的涂料消光的用途,其特征在于,所述聚集体的平均聚集体尺寸d50为2-200μm,优选为2-100μm,更优选为2-50μm,最优选为2-20μm,并且比表面(BET)为5-50m2/g。
